I got an email from SSA informing me that I had a message to view on the SSA website. I went through the whole process of verifying ID.me — I already had a pre-existing ID.me account (which was no longer working?!). I uploaded 600-DPI drivers license images, 600-DPI passport image, and ID.me couldn't read any of them. Eventually, my ID.me had a "successful" verification, but it only kept taking me back to the login page. In the end, I was never able to login to the SSA website and I still haven't been able to view the message. What was the point?

I need to come in and see what some of my past taxes were in. I needed to do some catch up on some other taxes for different years and I needed to see where I stood with you guys. The app was very easy to get along with and use. My drawback is I got to get them printed and I had everything on an iPhone.
I initially applied and sent in my service record DD-214 and never used the program. I found a product to buy, and asked if they had a veteran discount. At checkout they directed me to ID.me and asked a few questions to qualify me. A few minutes later a verification arrived and a 10% discount appeared on the invoice.

I live abroad. Filling out the ID.me address section is totally inadequate... It has no field for country and the user must pick a US state. Nonetheless my address was accepted, with no country or state and with a 4-digit "zip" code. My details passed the verification process, which included my address. But when I tried to access the SSA site, I was not allowed in because "the information from our trusted partner is not adequate." I assume this refers to my incomplete address in ID.me -- incomplete because it is not possible to complete it in the ID.me form.
It is now standard everywhere else for internet address forms to be able to specify a country and complete the address in a format appropriate to the selected country.
My privacy was very limited and like that not just anyone can try to steal my stuff

I had accessed my IRS account before without having to go through this process; so it made me uncomfortable why I had to do this extra level of security with an already accessed account login.
Realized I was not getting in without doing this, I did it, it worked out very well and I could still use my original password, user name login which helped. I believe it needed to be stated clearer that an added level of verification has been added and will not be able to access my account without this extra level of verification.

I've not received my CY22 tax refund ($3k) from tax return filed April 2023. I was hoping the IRS web site using ID.me would help me get my refund. Documents available on the web site clearly showed I was owed the refund. Site did not have any methods/fields to help me get my refund.
