Not much to describe super easy not sure why I put off so long! It took me longer to write this review than it did to sign up for the savings, so just do it!
I didn't know anything about IDme and was frustrated I needed to do something I'd never had to do before. Following the instructions is the easy part, but uploading my docs made me impatient because the system would not take them. Once I got with an agent, I was already overwhelmed and just wanted to show what I had to get verified. Since I hade a pic of my ss card and not the physical doc in hand, that I uploaded, my session was rejected. However my Trusted Referee gave me a wide range of options to chose from for verification and explained what I needed to do. Once I corrected my document submissions and joined the session, I was verified in less that 3 minutes! Now that I'm good to go, any entities (Unemployment, IRS, MySSA, VA, etc) that use IDme as a verification platform can request my info to be shared with them (with my permission) and I'll get things handled much quicker and smoother. So all in all…. I'm glad I did it!

Efficient very professional very pleased everything went very smoothly and I'm very happy and I could understand everything that the agent was trying to tell me very happy because I feel that I was verified and nobody was trying to to give me a hard time
Smooth and stress free. The process did not take long and was easy to do. The questions were in a good order and when I was done I had my ID verified.
Everything went pretty well - there were a couple of steps, especially during when I was being asked to scan my face, where I really felt like I wasn't doing that whole thing properly, but, apparently it went through OK, so I guess I did it decently.
When it first came up that I had to do that selfie I was scared because I'm 63 years old and never done anything like that before then when I started the process it wasn't bad it was pretty easy and as I continued on I got more confident what I was doing. Thank you.
It took well over a full MONTH after I sent in a request for help to get a response, most people live paycheck to paycheck waiting this long for a response to a QUESTION to be answered before you can even try to get your stuff submitted is ridiculous. Also when I tried to verify my documents they got denied saying "this isn't a utility bill" yes, yes it was. It was my last bill before I moved from pge, then the second time it got rejected because "you cant use a social twice" I didn't have two socials, I checked several times after the FIRST time things were rejected and it was NEVER two socials, I'm convinced that whoever was working didn't even look at my documents they just rejected them because lazy. Extremely upset with this company I hope it goes under.

The process to ID.ME is simple and easy. My only problem was that I got several outside calls and this caused me to have to repeat a step. I would suggest to notify people not to call for 5 minutes.

I was required to use ID.me as part of work I am doing for an HHS entity. It was my first encounter with the system, and I found it easy to use. Because it is endorsed by HHS, I also felt comfortable supplying the required PII.

They "required" much more personal info than needed to verify my status as a teacher, especially since it's verifiable on my state's department of education website with nothing more than my name.
Totally agree with mostly everyone's comments on here. I sent an Email to the CEO of ID.me telling him how bad their system really is. Surprisingly he did respond back to me and offered to help me. Bottom line is, they are getting slammed with claims verification's from all over the country. Seemed like a nice guy and a fellow Veteran. I just think they are in way over their heads at this point. Only speaking in regards to California, I put most of the blame on the California EDD - they are the ones responsible for the lack of security, technology, and planning. I won't even get into all of the other accountability problems that the EDD has and there are plenty.
On the other hand, ID.me should have planned ahead for this also. They should have had their software and systems tweaked to where there wouldn't be all of the BS problems people are experiencing confirming their identity. I know they are hiring more people, but that doesn't excuse the excessive failure rate. They also need to have an actual toll free number that answers calls in real time. They are pulling in big money now - it's time for them to step up and get their sh** together. Even I had problems with their system. I have been background checked multiple times, Federal security clearances, etc, etc. and I had issues with ID.me.
I communicated to the CEO and pointed out the severe issues that people are having. Many people are suffering hardships getting their Unemployment Insurance because of ID.me delaying or holding up the process. He is aware of the problems. Hopefully Mr. Hall improves the poor system they have in place.
