On Nov 1st, 2024 I logged in to the VA, and later in the day something changed and I could not log on. So I woke up early the next day to make a difference in my life to help myself. So I found two numbers and I started calling and I was surprised that someone was there to answer my questions
I uploaded my sensitive documents from a previous request. Months later I had another agency request authentication and my documents simply were converted over and used for the next request.
Round and round and round. Their website needs alot of clarification as to what we need to provide, an entire afternoon spent messing around with documentation etc. which was totally unnecessary. I'm glad they're paid because I'm not! The web agent was professional but not friendly at all. Perhaps we in the UK are used to agents who might crack a smile or say something personal which is really relaxing for the individual on the video call.
ID.Me and IRS are hijacking your right to pay your full amount due and requiring installment plan of multiple payments. Now they want a face recognition video. Total nonsense.
This experience was enlightening and a learning experience and very frustrating.

They called me and told me to show my state ID card, green card and social security and they spoke very well and politely.

She was patient talk me through everything that I needed to do to get everything that I needed done because the first person that I called was so short with me told me you need to do XYZ hung up the phone but and stay for me. I am a blind person I had a bad experience with another verification service they didn't offer all the options or the interview that ID need does I failed miserably with the other company they were not very compassionate they didn't have the options that ID me has the agent at ID me was very caring compassionate and especially caring she walked me through step by step and never rushed me through anything made me feel comfortable with the process and in the end I got myself verified and I can now use the SSA website and check my benefits and everything I need thanks to that agent thank you so much ID me

ID.me was unwavering, even when offered more identify verification that they requested.
I was forced to send several weeks unsuccessfully navigating this process. Finally, my daughter was able to travel in from a great distance to assist me with the video call.
Please try to be kind and more ADA compliant in the future. I am surprised the Social Security Administration allowed this to happen in order to access their online system.

The site would not let me apply i supposed because I applied once and then I went back to work so I rejected it, since then I have had 2 hip replacements and then broke my femur so I've been off work since 4/19/2024. Having problems still.
