I spent over 6 hours being swapped back and forth between agents, being disconnected and hung up on, starting the process over several times with different ID.me agents and systems while they tried to complete the "verify my identity" process. It seemed like the process finally completed successfully and the last thing I did at the end of this process was to give permission for several pieces of my information to be shared with other parts of the IRS. After I said OK to sharing all of that data, I was then just sent back to the IRS home website with no comment or explanation as to whether or not the verification was successful or not so I still have no idea if my refund is still being held hostage or if I am now supposed to just wait for the process of issuing my refund to complete. So no, this has NOT been a good experience so far.

Everything was difficult such as resetting password, what is criteria for password, name change, Signing in, chat assistant not helpful but never are. ID me is important, can there be a real person, not a robot, articles were not helpful but they never are either.
