This app is so dumb and a waste of time, have to enter information that they already have numerous times for what reason, the selfie thing takes crappy selfies and never works and they are asking for IDs and information that the IRS and other people that use this website already have so why are we doing this it is so dumb a waste of freaking time and effort for no reason. I mean we already have to enter 25 passwords and go through 50 verifications and captchas and we still have to enter all of our ID information our driver's license and social security number and everything else once we finally get through the two-step verification and all that process so what is the point of adding more s*** to do! I would give zero Stars if it was an option this is so dumb I'm so sick of spending half a day verifying who I am!

ID.me failed to deliver verification email and failed to respond to multiple requests for assistance. It took 5 months of periodically retrying and sending new requests to finally get help. Eventually resolution was deletion of the account by ID.me and starting over. Second time worked to create account. But lack of any help for months was ridiculous. And failure to deliver simple verification email is disturbing.

A very thorough and not overly complicated process from beginning to end. Uploading the necessary documents was as easy as drag and drop. Taking a selfie easy and the instructions pretty self explanatory. Then the whole verification process took less than a minute. I was very impressed and am very pleased with the results.
From the start, I was presented with two login options: ID.me and Login.gov. That got me off to a bad start because it wasn't clear which I needed to choose.

Relatively simple and straight forward with access to many different Federal agencies that offer different services. Logging on and logging off is not difficult and the experience was not terribly time consuming. Compared to the other login service which i finally gave up on because of the difficulty in completing their process, this was straight forward and simple.

ID.me suspended my account out of blue. Then when I emailed its customer support, I was then told my account was no longer suspended. But when I logged in according to their instructions, its website said I was still suspended. I had to email the customer support again and was told that my account was still suspended. I tried to get further response from ID.me customer support but didn't hear back from them until I contacted its customer support on LinkedIn. I felt frustrated and helpless throughout the entire process.
