My husband always did our taxes and I just always signed my name. He passed away in April 2024 so I had to learn to do them. This being my first year, I contacted an accountant. She needed last years return and I had no hard copies or even access to the cite my husband used so I started crying. How am I going to do this? I depended SO much on my husband for everything. The accountant gave me this link to set up the ID.me account and I was able to get to all the information I needed and get it to her within the hour. She even thanked me for getting everything I needed so quickly.

Difficult setting up the account…finally got it done and documents uploaded only for the app not recognize my password…changed password multiple times with no success…now my personal info is out there in cyberspace with no way to access my account…I call BS on this company
No communication at all! There's no numbers or email to contact if there is a problem! I have many issues with using this system! It's a major setback for me. I shouldn't have to wait three weeks to get a reply back in the mail when I should be able to solve the issue over the phone immediately.
The only problem I recommend correcting is reducing the waiting time in lines.

Surprisingly quick easy to accomplish an new experience
I was reapplying for my benefits for unemployment, overall I had to reset my password and my email to provide my information so that I can start the process for my benefits.
ID me had trouble verifying me off of my ID and face scan so I had to get more documents to prove that I was me. I had to do a video call with a worker with said documents and show them on camera. Which I don't mind but the queue time was 25 minutes and I waited an hour and a half at my laptop. The call itself was quick
