Yes… I too felt that emotional trauma of "What happened, Why, I Need to get into my account!" Believe me… it took me by surprise. However, I followed the process and regained my emotions and had to trust the process of getting back into the account. Once I did all the steps it required, it still gave me the confidence that doing those steps would make it very difficult for anyone else pretending to be you to gain access to your account. It took less time the second time through to regain access to my account and I'm so thankful for that! These agencies are making the process simpler and more efficient for each of us. Just Breathe… and trust the process.

I created an account which was suspended as soon as the identification process was complete. I opened a ticket right away, and after 6 days didn't have a resolution. I created another ticket, which they said was escalated and 4 more days went by without it being resolved. Only after contacting the company account on LinkedIn did someone get back to me, and the issue was fixed in an hour. Do everything in your power to avoid interacting with this company.

Since I filed the taxes online and they were rejected still after speaking with a ID. Me representative, I followed their instructions on an email they sent me. When I tried to send my taxes through online the IRS still rejected my return.
This was my first time using ID. Me because I wanted to file my taxes directly with the IRS and not pay a middleman like TurboTax. The experience was so smooth and intuitive, I definitely recommend!
Anything that makes it easier to communicate with governmental agencies is worth a little effort on our part. The downside is having to go through the Multi-Factor Authorization (MFA) over and over again when signing in while going through the set-up process. This is a little bit tedious. I hope it will be helpful when navigating the airport security lines. I will find out in the next few weeks.

Please and thank you make sure you have internet connection. I was asked to input a 6 - digit code for my email and phone to verify my ID. I waited, received, and input the codes for both. So far, so good. At the bottom of the screen, There' s a box with three choices on selecting a fruit/vegetable to prove that you're not a robot. I selected celery (the other two choices were wrong). Pressed continue. Apparently, that was the wrong answer, and the system reset itself, changing the 6 digit pins it asked you to enter to verify your email and phone. It also changed the question and choices to prove you're not a robot. I tried 2 - 3 times, got frustrated, and gave up.
I have used ID. Me when required to verify my retirement from the National Guard.
