1, I use my first name and married name on everything EXCEPT my social security card. I was young and I used my first name, the initial of my maiden name and my married name on my social security card. This cause computer glitches, because the names on my documents did not exactly match. There is an option for names that do not match. Use that. 2. I live in a remote area where mail is undeliverable so I must use a P.O. Box in my address. This also is not permitted. Not only did my name not match, my mailing address and my physical address did not match. 3. I ended up having to have video verification, which was more time consuming because it requires sending additional proof of identity. There is a considerable lapse between sending photos of your documents and having them accepted. Hit the "continue" button, then prepare to wait. It is continuing there just is no assurance that the continue command was recognized. An IRS chat specialist did get back to me within two hours.

Very frustrating because the automated process didn't work. I submitted photos of my driver's license twice, and of my passport once, and they all failed. That, however, got my application raised to personal attention by an actual person, which did work, and very quickly. That shouldn't be necessary.
