Easier than I thought

Signing up for ID.me was a breeze, very easy & simple. Once I finished the last step it connected me immediately to my SS account which had been locked out my reach for months due to an error with my login credentials.

Most secure with the least hassle!

I appreciate having a secure intermediary service like ID Me verify identity before granting you access to websites that store and maintain some of your most sensitive, critical information. The service makes good use of technology already in your possession (computer camera, cellphone) to swiftly but thoroughly vet you and send you on your way to do your intended business. Excellent. After numerous failed attempts to use login.gov for my SSA account, I tried ID.me and was done in 10 minutes. Login.gov gave me "try again later " 3 times, and " lost connection" twice over the course of 3 days.

You want to login, but wait. The ignorant company you want to interact with uses ID.me! Congratulations, now login will always be slow, require a second device, and make you feel like you live in a prison. Yay! It's also discriminatory against disabled people by requiring a mobile device. But they don't care. I told them this over a year ago, and they are indifferent to the needs of people with physical disabilities.

Dissatisfied due to lack of trained employees who can't or don't know how to fix simple issues so that someone can file to draw unemployment while job is shutdown for summer and breaks for holidays I've missed being able to sign up file and draw any income for last 2 years because of this and can't ever catch the 1 employee who can fix this issue due to I'm working on the day or days she is close to my location

2 years of hell and frustration. This has been going on for at least a year. I have come to the conclusion that with the education of whoever did this program, they failed the course, probably never given, called common sense, and also a course call ed how to deal with older veterans.

Convenient

Another layer of personal I.D. Protection and ultimately a fantastic convenience. With fraud rife with dark web characters sharing your personal information and local and international hackers stealing your assets - we are absolutely vulnerable to the unknown with little resources to solve it. I have been hacked a few times. I sleep better knowing that it is harder for the bad guy to get your information. ID.me shuts you out of your account if you mess up your password too many times. So! The bad guy stands no chance!

Loving Personal Recresitional Allignment

It was easy and informative to re gain and learn about my personal information. My life has indubitably been in flip flopping shambles for years. (Meaning) my credit report/scores, financial issues/business, relationships, education & etc. were misplaced for 33 years of my life. I turn 34 on May 24 2025 & I am utterly & gratefully thankful to and for everyone and everything that has helped me & me helping them in any way & every way possible. I think I found a loop hole!

Gorgeous experience, When I did not hear her clearly, I said "could you please said it again"
I repeated twice, then She realized that i am not native english speaker, She request a translator service.and the translator is also very nice people, very clearly and very smoothly, and with very patience.
The video call verification if fast especially when you prepared all you documents they needed, very smooth experience with ID.me

Thank goodness process was easy

I had a few issues on the process but it was pretty straightforward. The agent was super and very patient. Her type of personality helps prevent a customer from getting flustered. I was shocked that I got through the process in a short time span. It's just a shame that all of us have to go through this again when this documentation was provided when I signed up (plus a lot of other documentation.). Hopefully, the SS Office will not lose anymore employees with all this ruckus with this new administration. They have done nothing but make everyone's life more difficult thanks to their incoherency of everything.
