As movie stores, such as Blockbusters and Movie Galleries, are becoming slim to none in existence, many people have resorted to online options to watch movies. Many people prefer the online option to view their movies because it is often times free or cheaper than renting one at a store. Also having to be home or near a tv at the exact time your favorite tv series airs its newest episode is no longer an issue with these web 2.0 tools since they have both movies and tv episodes for their users. This instant availability has definitely been a major pro for users and is probably one of the main reasons movie stores are going out of business.
I found three web 2.0 sites that people can use to watch their favorite tv shows and movies. I took into account the websites' affordability, accessibility, reliability, and more to create my reviews. Hulu's website is very aesthetically pleasing. The website is organized in a logical and concise manner so that the user can find what they are looking for in a minimal amount of time. There are some episodes and movies that Hulu allows you to watch for free by simply signing up and creating a username and password. However a con is that most of the episodes and movies you have to subscribe to HuluPlus in order to watch which contains a small monthly fee of $7.99. A pro for HuluPlus is that once you subscribe to the monthly fee you can watch unlimited movies and episodes. I would definitely recommend this website to someone.
It does seem that HULU specifically set out to make the most annoying changes possible for SUBSCRIBERS... you know, the people that make HULU possible. I am beyond outraged at the inept designs that seem clunky & amateurish at best and at worst, their flashing colors could induce fits. If this continues, I will absolutely drop my subscription; if anyone thinks I'll pay for THIS, they are out of their minds.
Just signed up so I can watch the us open live but Hulu does not have any way for you to stream with a dell computer, Samsung smart tv, only a phone or tablet. They sucker people in claiming you can watch live tv when all you have are phone and tablet options. FALSE ADVERTISING AND YOU WASTED A LOT OF MY TIME. They need to be clear before you sucker people in to signing up. Honestly, how can they claim you can watch live TV, but don't offer a way to stream it on a TV? Explain that... Avoid Hulu, also, it is VERY difficult to get customer support
I have had Hulu for about 6 months and I am looking for a new service. The structure of looking for program is extremely poor. Finding a desire program is difficult. The structure of the commercial breaks is insane. I have watched programs with literally black out as while there was no commercial, there mandatory timing was in effect. I have tried to fast forward BETWEEN the commercials as you can never fast forward through them, only to have the system take me BACK to the PRIOR commercial block. To be honest, I am forced to believe that the programmers at HULU either don't watch their own programing, never try to find any programs on HULU or they just simply brain dead.
I paid TWICE, in two different ways to have commerical free service. Yet, there still are MANY commercials interrupting my service. When asked, they only state "there are only "limited " commercials. WRONG. There needs to be ZERO if I am paying for ZERO!
It's not worth it no movies and crappy tv shows and they limit how many seasons in a series meaning they'll have say criminal intent they'll only have available to watch the last 2 seasons
Too many ads its RIDICULOUS! But that's not the worst, the day after the free trial week was over I get an email stating the charge for the month which btw the only reason I let that happened was because I had completely forgot about having it, honestly I stopped watching it the by the second day I must say, and it was right there and then that I immediately logged into my account to cancel, I didn't want the same mistake again and be charge the following month (not for something that's full of ads.) So I did and it said that I still had one whole month since they had already and just charged me for it, it was all complete b. S. my husband (unlike me not minding the ads) tried watching a movie and it didn't let him nor tv shows, NOTHING AT ALL. It blocked everything! WHAT A SCAM!
I like Hulu but it seems they must have a contract with ABC or something. There is almost every ABC network show but very few if any NBC or CBS. They used to play Nashville on the CMT network but now that that season has ended, nothing has replaced it. As for the movies, I go to VUDU, which has a ton of very good movies for free. Yes, I'm considering dropping it if they don't pick up something other than ABC
Constant buffering, repeating live tv to the point that it is completely unusable. We went through all of the troubleshooting and nothing has fixed the issue. Sorry, goodbye Hulu Live!
"Would you like to see a show with all your commercials? FUGETABOUT IT!" A 30 minute show is, almost, an hour long with all the ads that Hulu inserts. I try to watch a show while I am having dinner, but I'm through with dinner before the show starts!
Jesus mf Christ, this has to be the worst mf $#*! I have ever used AND PAID MONEY FOR. You $#*!s are scammers. Jeez I mean no one can figure this stupid $#*! site out! I just have the biggest need to tell you how bad it is your like a Walmart vagisil compared to the real $#*!. You suck your like bing vs google, you mfn suck. I mean your like Hulu vs Netflix! Most of us try to keep track of all our favorite movies and TV shows but sometimes it's very difficult with most of our busy schedules. Netflix, Hulu and Sidereel are three of many sites that allow us to track the things that we want to watch. Watching our favorite videos online saved us money and time. We can watch something faster online since there are less commercials (usually saves about 15 min.) it's also cheaper than going to the movies or renting a video for a night. Using these sites we can watch them from anywhere in the world at a convenient hour.
Hulu is a fantastic website since it lets us watch our favorite show the very next day. Hulu is updated every day so we don't have to wait long to watch something. It's about six dollars a month so it's pretty affordable. But I hate the fact that we have to watch the commercials (even when we pay). The movies are not updated often so most movies that are available are old. This website is good to keep up with recent TV shows and for that I would recommend this site.
They have a eye strain setting that you can't change with out stopping the show! And starting it over every 15 min! And it can't be reset? And it is so dark you can't tell if it's day or night what color clothes the people are wearing! And I'm PAYING FOR THIS CRAP! HULU SAYS THAT THEY CANT HELP!
Even if you pay for the commercial free option you still have to watch them. Lots and lots of them. Hulu also freezes quite a bit. I do not think it's worth the money.
It's okay for the ability to see some of the broadcast shows that Netflix and Prime don't offer... but you still can't see some of the need to see shows like NCIS and CSI... maybe it's just the way CBS rolls.
Don't waist your time with this! User support couldn't figure it out and we are frustrated! All other web streaming on our Apple TV works FINE except Hulu. No ready for prime time!
Cluncky, ugly, obtrusive new format. No more picture in picture and the customer service rep tried to pretend like they don't have a 1 1/2 star rating on App Store.
I was double charged by hulu & telling me coz i have accidental different email which is a lie
I think they r saying that to avoid the 1 yr refund
Worse ecer
I never really write reviews but paying for Hulu has got me frustrated on another level
Fix your website. I will be canceling until you figure this out
Not worth my money right now
Hulu charge my account twice and don't want to pay. They did not want to take responsible for that. Talk to about 3 reps to get it resolved was not done, so if you have that issue just know that you will not be refunded for any charge. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu has a rating of 1.7 stars from 1,179 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Hulu ranks 202nd among Streaming Movies sites.
