Don't bother getting this service is you move to the suburbs. We had no choice but to get a mobile internet hotspot and Hulu doesn't allow it. Very rude too when you call to complain too. We were treated like another expendable customer. Thank God for Sling, DirecTVNow and YouTube Live TV.
Hulu lets you watch series for free, so you get hooked on them. Then halfway through the season, usually the second season - so you're really, truly, deeply hooked, they make you buy the subscription to watch the rest of the season. Now, excuse me while I pay this male escort, snort some coke and watch Hulu.
I used to like Hulu because I could watch all the movies and TV shows that netflix didn't have. Now I can't watch half of anything without upgrading to live tv. I'm not spending $55 a month to watch movies when everyone else charges around $10. At this point I'm better off buying an Amazon firestick and downloading whatever I want to watch.
I have enjoyed Hulu for two years but then upgraded to no commercial, lost my watchlist and taken to a Hulu home page without a watchlist option.
The effort to get help from Hulu had assured me they have NO functional, responsible or relevant means to help/service customers. You are on your own. They have left me with the feeling of being conned.
You get what you pay for! If you`re looking through the movies, tv, etcYou find one and decide not to watch it, you click back and are directed to the first one! You have to navigate ahead and find were you left off... inconvenient-frustrating. All of the commercials, so repetitive. If HuLu raises their price, I will cancel, out. Netflix is so much better
I used to love HULU - it was so user friendly, quick and at a glance could see my options and what I would watch. Now it takes so much longer and so many more steps to get to the page where I can then scroll for days to get to what I want to watch and even then I don't know if there is a new episode yet. I find myself avoiding HULU now.
Why would you take something that everyone loved and take away all that was great about it? Is a Netflix undercover spy on your design team? It sure has gotten me to watch Netflix more.
Live streaming won't work. Got a subscription for all the great soccer, Women's World Cup, CONCACAF, Copa Oro. When I try to click for help troubleshooting, Hulu says too many people in my organization are asking for help and they must limit requests. I'm one user, not an organization. Called the customer service helpline, they apologize for not being able to take my call. Not sure who would consider this a worthwhile investment of $45 a month... I do not. Worthless waste of money. Dare I say, thieves? I paid for a service that I'm not getting and there is zero customer care. I want a refund after less than a week of signing up for a subscription. DON'T GET ROBBED!
This website is the $#*!tiest site on the flat earth. As soon as I signed up for a free trial to try it out my credit card was stolen and I lost $200. This will never happen again. Trust me this site is promoting being gay which is against gods word I hope this site burns in hell and I hope everyone loses their job all of you will rot in hell
Terrible. Just terrible. Anything new takes some adjustment, but with how easy it is to watch the shows I'm looking for by just opening the Network apps, and other free site options. It hasn't become worth it for me to continue to pay for Hulu with the new lay out, it's just more of an annoyance than anything.
Hulu has, for years, been non compliant with the FCC CALM act which states they cannot play commericals louder than the shows. They do nothing but blame the channel that you are watching. They will never return any money if you want to cancel your service, only give you free service days, which is stupid when you're wanting to cancel service. Customer service says they will submit it to management but then there isn't an exact day when it will be resolved, which is never. I don't recommend Hulu to anyone, unless you are willing to pay the extra fee for No Ads, which is what they are technically trying to get you to do with the loud ads. It's unacceptable
Logged in and got a message about home location changes. Was told I only had 1 location change out of 4 left. The last time it was changed was in November 2021 and it's now August 2022 and I only have one left. When did this counter thing start? I have had Hulu for over a year and all of asunder there is a counter. I was on the phone with them for well over an hour and then got disconnected. I am definitely canceling.
They have a nice selection of TV shows to watch, and to a lesser extent movies. I have gotten the impression that since they started their Hulu+ service, they have started removing more and more movies from their free offerings. They have a nice selection of history and documentaries.
They only have a few episodes of current TV series in the free Hulu but may have the entire run of older ones. (I love McHale's Navy!)
The ads during shows have definitely gotten longer; whereas last year there may have been 4-5 30 second ads in a movie, there may now be 10 or more that last 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. It's irritating but the price to pay for free viewing.
Overall it's a great site if there is nothing on TV or you are looking for something specific. No heart rating though because of the relatively poor movie selection and the lengthy ads.
I started using Hulu to watch my favorite shows a few years ago. I have really enjoyed being able to keep up with my shows until lately when Hulu decided to only let you watch shows if you connect to your tv provider? I don't think that's ok. I don't have tv... ergo the internet. I vote hulu gets rid of this permanently. Seriously, ruined one of my down time activities. I can't watch my favorite shows anymore. Thanks, hulu.
I have been having issues with Hulu for so long... Their auto play between episodes always eventually has issues. The app never seems to update what episodes I'm on while I'm using the app (coming back to the app is fine but when I change screens to change episodes it shows older episodes as my current episode so I have to search through the season episode list to find the ep I'm currently on).
I was excited to watch the new "Shogun" series that Hulu had so I signed up for a 30 day trial (Ad-free option) at the end of February. Was able to watch the first episode without issue but when trying to watch the second one I started getting a RUNUNK13 error with a prompt to either reload or watch something else. Tried reloading, got the same error. So I figured I would try watching "The Rookie". Same thing happened, I was able to watch the first episode but once again trying to watch any other episodes result in the RUNUNK13 error. Fast forward to tonight, got home from work, wanted to try and see the previous Shogun episode and the new one that was released tonight and lo and behold my old pal RUNUNK13 Error shows up.
I canceled the free trial. No option to give an exact reason for canceling on Hulu's website so instead I decided I would vent my displeasure here so someone else does not waste time with this janky streaming service.
I love Hulu, it gives you a lot of different shows/series/movies etc. to choose from and to watch BUT commercials are killing me! Repeating all the time same stuff over and over and over again. Not to mention frequency. Sometimes I think I'd rather stick with the TV programm.
The HULU website is appalling. I tried to manage my email notifications, but got in a loop where I was continuously asked to log in with PW. It accepted my PW, but then kept asking me to log in again. Eventually, I was able to get to my account settings, but it took 45 minutes. I changed my email notification settings (their default is to send you promotional info, but not send you a notice that your credit card has been charged), but got no email verification. The only "acknowledgment" was yet another request to I log in, and then I was sent back into the circular loop. It seems HULU does everything possible to keep charging you for life, sending you endless promotional ads, and making it difficult to cancel your subscription. The instructions on their privacy statemenet are incorrect. Be forewarned!
I finally had it with hulu, Waiting forever for the shows to buffer, shows starting then buffering again, shut off the shows to walk away to get a drink come back turn them on buffering again, Service for streaming is terrible. I cancelled. Even if the have 70million customers and could care less about 1, Well the have 69,999,999 now
I watch Alot of shows on my phone from hulu.com
But now for what ever reason I have to be 0 years or older the watch my show? Are you for real. Hulu was amazing but now they suck $#*!. I'm giving hulu 0 stars because that's $#*!ing ridiculous
Save your money and look around. Hulu is not worth it. It keeps resetting itself it's slow. Watching sports can be a challenge. Or any favorite show. It's just not worth it. It keeps going back to home. It just shuts down for no reason. FRUSTRATING!
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu has a rating of 1.7 stars from 1,179 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Hulu ranks 202nd among Streaming Movies sites.
