I ordered a dress 15/12/17 with delivery advised at 2-3 working days, the dress was needed for an event on 16/12 however, the dress had not arrived by the Thursday. I went onto my account via the House of CB website as the link to check delivery status was not working. My account advised that the delivery was AWAITING REPLY so I completed the contact us form on the 15/12 detailing how I had ordered the dress but had not yet received it and that I had not received any questions from the company so was unsure what they were waiting on in terms of a reply. I was advised I would receive a response within 24 hours, it is now the 18th and I am yet to receive a response. The only correspondents I have received from House of CB was to say the payment had been made. I have today emailed the sales@ account and again have heard nothing back. As the event has now passed and I had to buy another dress I want the order cancelling and a full refund. Previously I have had no issues with this company and appreciate this is a busy time of year for many retailers but there is no excuse for ignoring customers.
My items came within a few days and the quality of the material was the best. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I ordered a dress after I took my body measurements and carefully checked the size guide chart so the dress would fit perfectly. The size chart said the XS size had a waist of 59-65 cm and the dress was described with a 3/3 stretch factor. When I got the dress however, I couldn't even try it on with a waist of 63 cm because it was SO SMALL and it did not stretch at all. I saw other people mentioning this as well so I believe it is a reasonable claim. I reached out to customer service who just kept lying to me. I was told several times that "our dress does stretch" like I was an idiot. I asked them for a prepaid return label since the wrongful sizing is NOT the customer's responsibility but they refused to issue one. I ended up returning it on my own expense and they said they would investigate the dress, and if the sizing really isn't accurate, they would refund the price of the shipping. As you're reading this, you probably already figured out that they never reached out to me about the investigation. In addition, the refund for the dress itself was approved with a 10 business day timeframe, but 4 weeks later it still wasn't in my bank account.
Additional info: the dresses come from Hong Kong but House of CB sells them for 10x the price in a fancy paper box with pink ribbon. You can find them on the famous orange-yellow logoed Chinese retail platform.
So disappointed purchased a dress off them in August at shop in Liverpool worn it to a wedding September only had dress on for roughly about 4 hours bobbled all over dress and frayed emailed website when returned home not very helpful told me to ring shop managed to get hold of them after few attempts told me to send dress and receipt back so they could send it off for inspection cost me 12 pound never heard off them for about 5 weeks got hold of them they made some excuse about not having my email which I gave them and put it on my letter with dress so they promised to send it off asap then 3 days later had email saying looked at dress not refunding me or sending new dress has not manufacturer fault says must of rubbed dress but bobbling all over dress sides back front top and bottom so emailed them back saying not happy paid a lot of money bobbling all over dress and label inside says made in China awful company will be contacting trading standards and hope more people do as well never order anything again very poor standard of clothing
Good quality clothes, poor customer service and don't ever return anything and don't ever buy anything on sale, I'll go ahead and support the clothes are made in the USA
This is now my second bad experience of a very dishonest house of cb.
1) last year I bought a bikini from HoCB and when I wore it on day 1 it became very baggy. When I contacted them to complain they informed me it was because I'd worn it in the water. I was VERY confused. A bikini that was not suitable for water? They then claimed that it was on the website so I looked. However, it was only in the "washing" instructions "do not emerse in water". Any normal person would assume that those instructions were meant for only washing purposes. When we informed this of this they said they'd change it to make it more obvious. We checked several months later and they never did.
2) I bought a dress in the sale with them. Firstly, it was originally about £150 but had been discounted to £79. I bought the dress and although very beautiful, if I had bought it at £150 I would have been LIVID. It was paper thin and looked like it could rip easily. I was a bit miffed about paying 79! So when I returned it I decided to buy another dress from another company (high street chain) for a fraction of the cost and it was much better quality! Then I waited for my return. However, I got sent a gift card for an exchange. Really annoyed and reliant on that money, I went onto their returns policy and noticed right at the bottom it said if its a sale item you can only get a gift card. Now fair enough, my stupidity for not reading the returns policy beforehand but they should have made it clear when I purchased it. If I'm like the rest, we barely read terms and conditions, returns policies etc; we shop online for ease and speed. This should be made clear the second we purchase the item.
I hasten to add that before these 2 experiences I bought some lovely dresses that I was extremely proud of. However, this will be my last purchase as they have massively gone downhill. Customer service is terrible for a luxury product. I feel like they are very dishonest, will happily take your money and then not care what happens next. Such a shame, a great company once, a terrible one now.
Shopping on website was fairly straightforward. The first thing I noticed is that there is hardly any variety between the styles of clothing. A lot of it is in bold colors, mostly black, white, or strong colors like red and magenta. There is also no price filter so you'll be seeing items anywhere from $50 to $250 on the same page. Also, the website stopped working at one point, I couldn't open new tabs for clothes or even click on them, so I am assuming it crashed for a while.
Looking at the clothes, they look pretty, but there is barely any variety in terms of style. A lot of these are meant to look good on hourglass figures, which I have, but not everyone wants to show more skin. The other problem with the hourglass figure "aesthetic" is that it simply excludes a lot of other body types. I found only one dress I was interested in, and unfortunately it didn't fit me. It was also not the same color as portrayed in the photos on the website.
The quality of the dress itself was pretty, but like some other reviews have pointed, it doesn't have a WOW factor that would separate it from a store like Zara.
On the whole, I think House of CB has potential, but because of its lack of inclusivity in many aspects, most shoppers will have a hard time shopping here. They also do not offer refunds for sale items, but offer store credit instead, which I find to be a little absurd considering that most of their sale items still cost $150-250 on sale, and one simply can't know ahead of time whether the clothes will fit or not. And if most of the clothes aren't to your liking, you're not likely to find another item you'd rather buy with that credit.
I had been a loyal customer for years until this experience:
Bought a dress, when it came it was covered in shiny marks like it had been ironed. I immediately emailed the company the asked me to send pictures and before I even sent them they said it'll be press marks. I sent said pics and they emailed back to say they were press marks. I sent the dress back at my own expense, then they refunded me the dress minus their shopping cost of £6 and refused to pay me for my delivery costs!
What this company is doing is completely illegal under the consumer rights act and this dress was unfit for purpose! They even told me to go and get the dress dry cleaned at my own expenses! Not once did they offer to exchange the dress for another one without marks.
I spoke to the citizens advice about this and this was their reply:
I have just spoken to the citizens advice and they have advised me that under the consumer rights act the goods were not of a satisfactory quality as the cane marked. I am in my right to ask you for the goods to be put into the original position and that you should of uplifted them from the place of delivery! Are you part of an ADR scheme? If not I will be taking you to a small claims court as ok well within my rights.
This company are bullies and I will not stand for it! For the sake of delivery costs they've lost a customer! I'm absolutely disgusted by the way they've treated me. It's not even about the money it's the principal. It seems I'm not the only one!
I have emailed them over 40 times and I get the same response of: the goods were not faulty and a dry clean would of got the stains out (dry clean at my own expense)
Please think twice about using this company!
I will be taking them to a small claims court to recover my money and I really hope other people push the consumer rights act on them! It's illegal what they're doing!
I ordered 4 dresses from house of cb, 2 dresses for an event and 2 dress as gifts for my friends, only 3 items arrived, 2 of them had clear defects, the fabric was pulled and there were sewing issues on the other ones, 3rd dress they sent me the wrong size, and 4th dress was nowhere to be seen. I sent them detailed pics of all the issues and showed that all the dresses had the pink ribbon attached and all tags to prove it's never been worn and exactly how I recieved them.
I emailed asking to return for a refund, they demanded for my PASSPORT and utility bills, and claimed that they won't be able to help me unless I provide them these info. THEY REFUSED TO BACK DOWN EVEN AFTER I REPLIED MANY TIMES STATING HOW INAPPROPRIATE AND UNCOMFORTABLE IT WAS.
Now this is a breach of privacy and crosses a boundary for customers safety, I don't believe it's ever appropriate for a ecommerce company that i just spent $1400 OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY to ask for a government ID.
Not to mention reading so many negative reviews on here and on their socials of other customers being sent faulty items or them withholding refunds from their customers even after they shipped the items back.
Please don't waste your money here, their campaigns are so beautiful but their service is disgusting and company model is just money hungry. Trust me you will regret purchasing from here, listen to all the reviews warning you on here and steer FAR from this company.
Ordered a dress and received it across the world in 2 days with no delay.
The size is exactly as described on a website.

I tried to purchase a graduation dress and it looked nothing like the pictures lol its a joke and I want my money back now!
