The overhaul of the billing portal is a huge failure for me as a paying client. Nothing was working for a lot time and i was unable to pay for my subscription. To add to this, you keep showing this messages to add stuff to my account. How many times do i need to click on "No thanks" for you to stop showing them? Each time i login i become more frustrated with and start considering to move my accounts elsewhere
Drake fixed it all! It was an awesome experience and I cannot say enough about the guy I talked to. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, easy to understand and incredibly helpful. This is already a much better experience than GoDaddy.

Every month, I had to get in touch with customer support because our website was down and the issue was resolved for the most part but only for a day or two only.
Our website is very simple, it has no log-in, no comment boxes and no payments can be made through it either. It is text-based, read-only for the most part and I was "pushed" (out of ignorance and fear) into purchasing a Sitelock and codeguard subscription.
Very disappointed with this service.

I planned to move some of my hosting to HostGator from GoDaddy. I had some problems while setting up my account and contacted support. I had a poor experience. I've been a GoDaddy customer for 19 years. I was attempting to save some money by moving some of my sites to HostGator as the prices seemed very good. My experience was very bad. I had issues understanding the tech support personnel and it made the experience unacceptable. I would like to end my Hostgator relationship and get a refund. I think this might be a challenge.

It is easy to edit, and update. And there are not spam and junk to effect our homepage, I believe the security is good as well.
After over 13 phone calls from 6:30am EST to 1pm EST I finally got someone on the phone that knew what reverse PTR was and how to handle it. I will tell you your level 1 support is horrible and they need to be better trained. I am still having issues with ticket number *******. It's been 3 weeks and level 2 support is absolutely horrible. Still have not fixed the issue and it needs to be resolved.

Why all the popups when i am trying to log into my account. If this were an important login, i would be super pissed of now. Also, if you know that i have domain privacy, why are you offering domain privacy?
Five Stars, but I am here wondering why one script of many, all of of which use the exact same info to log in, all of the sudden denies access to the user, the same user that it is allowing access for in a couple of other scripts that are not failing, at the same time (within seconds or less)

I have been on messaging with support for 2 weeks now with 2 different technicians and not getting any results. My SSL is not working for my site and it's honestly frustrating to pay for a service and not have it work.
Your websites are much harder to edit (wordpress) than they used to be when I used your services 3-4 years ago. Years ago, you had the best in the industry. Now they are very difficult to build, use, and maintain.
I've been a customer of Hostgator since 2006 and the rate for reseller hosting has been $25 a month. I received an email today advising me that I was charged $43 for hosting from Hostgator. They failed to notify me that the rate had been increased to $43 a month AND they turned on auto-renewal without my permission or knowledge, taking money from my paypal account without my permission. I think it's only fair that since I wasn't advised that the price would be increase to $43 a month and the auto renewal was turned on without my permission, I should be refunded the difference between $43 - $25 = $18. I will not accept a credit towards next month because I plan to find another service and be moved before then. I'm NOT paying $43 a month. There's tons of other companies I can find which offers reseller with
Unlimited disk space & unlimited bandwidth for $25 a month or less.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
