Hop2 did not inform me of the cancellation/change of my flight. I understand that there is the whole covid19 situation happening, but during times like these is when communication is of the utmost importance.

We arrived at the airport at 5 in the morning to check-in to our flight only to be told that our flight was cancelled. We double checked our emails just in case we missed a notification, but there was absolutely no point of contact after we received our original tickets.

When we tried to call the numbers provided, two of them said they were disconnected/unavailable. A third number we tried to contact had me on hold for over 40 minutes only to be told that issues need to be emailed to them. I tried to message their "live chat" support and they asked for an email, but I have yet to receive an email from them.

This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with a third party booking site.

The company is scamming everyone out of their Covid related refunds. They are arbitrarily charging hefty fees ($150, $200+) upfront to refund a ticket which then gets dragged out. Twisting words. Refusing refunding covid covered flights that are not cancelled. I can go on and on..

The worst travel agency I have ever dealt with. The are not helping me get a deserved refund from the airline which cancelled my return flight. It will cost me around $50 dollars to file a small case court in New York but I have no other choice because these people are not helping me at all despite waiting for at least 4 months and contacting them weekly.

Bad experience

Stay away from them, very unprofessional and impolite people, you can waste your money!
I have done a reservation on May 7th, and they sent me a ticket. On 1st of June, I called the airline to be sure that everything was ok, and they told me that my flight was canceled on 11Th May, but the HOP2 dis sent me any email.
I contact HOP2 and they did not help me at all, in addition when I requested to speak with the manager they put down the call.
I did not recommend you to make reservation with them!

This is their response after they cancelled my flight without warning me or giving me any alternative option (plus my ticket was flexible)

Dear

Thank you for choosing our company to meet your travel needs!

With regard to your request, we have contacted the Airline company to check the possibility of a full refund.

This letter is to confirm that the airline penalty has been waived. A standard service fee of $150.00 will be applied in case you would like to proceed with the refund. This is a standard processing amount.

Amount to be deducted: $150.00

Amount refunded: $640.67

If you would like to initiate the refund process of $640.67, please authorize the transaction of $150.00 ( service fee) by confirming the last 4 digits of the credit card which was used to purchase the ticket.

Please note: The amount is going to be credited back to the original credit card in the next 2 - 4 weeks, once the refund is processed.

Never use the online company, however cheap they are, you pay for what you get in terms of service. I paid $2,600 for my business class flight to Vietnam via China. And then the virus came, my flight was cancelled and do think they would refund me? They wouldn't even take my 20 plus calls. They never responded to my 15 plus emails.
I Applied online, for my refund, NOTHING. I travel a lot, never again booking with them, don't do it!

Events canceled, money tight, and they have the audacity to think that people still want to travel. All I asked was to change the date of my flights, not even cancel them or asked for a full refund, just a CHANGE IN DATE, and I was denied. I would've been more than happy to discuss any fees incurred as a result, but no was just straight up left with useless tickets.

A man named Bryan just told me that despite everything going on, my tickets are on a "use it or lose it" basis. Are you kidding me? Who thinks that traveling is going to be the first thing on my mind to do this year when we are working extra hard to make up for what is going on, and to not even be willing to help out at ALL for a simple change of dates. Even if it is old company policy (pre coronavirus), they should be willing to take into account what is going on in the world right now, and the fact that they haven't shows their old age.

Unless they come out to make up for their mistakes, they will not be receiving my services nor any of my spheres of influence ever in the future.

They cancelled my flight and never refund my money back. I've been waiting for almost 3 months now. I try to call them, no one pick up. I also try to text them, first they said China airline didn't reply their email so they can't give my money back, so I keep texting them snd now they always read and never reply me back anymore. Such a worst agent ever! No more Hop2.

My flight cost around $1,200!

They are charging 159$ from each ticket even after Air Lines agreed on paying full refund to us. This is a scam and they are earning money from Covid-19 situation.

This agency charged me $100 per person
This agency charged me $100 per person because the airline cancel the flight due to COVID-19.
The DOT requested to refund the money for any flights that it's cancel. So by law this company have to refund my money. But they did not.
I don't recommend book any flight with this agency. They don't follow the rules.

I have booked multiple times with Hop2 with no issues. Unfortunately with the COVID crisis, I had to ask to cancel or get a voucher for a future flight from Hop2. The company charged $50 for this even though the airlines do not. They are taking advantage of this crisis and it is unacceptable. Companies should not take advantage of their customers!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Literally had an agent cut me off 50% of the call, refuse to answer my questions, and end the conversation without ensuring I was done with the service. Pure TRASH!

I am a US citizen trying to flee Madrid and they are not helpful at all. The agent does not seem to be knowledgeable about the travel advisories and is not helpful.

Asked to speak to another representative and the guy literally REFUSED to transfer me. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere

There was a sort of bug on your website, the wrong return date was chosen though I seemed to check everything before checking out. I noticed that only after paying for tickets. Fornutanely tour manager helped me figure everything out. I got my tickets with the right dates and a refund of the extra I'd paid by mistake!

Hop2 is a Must Do!
I had to return home last minute for a death in the family. The tickets were outrageous for the dates I wanted to be home for. And this was not a simple flight - Dublin to Atlanta. I was desperate to get home, and I wanted tickets that included my luggage. I was looking at $1200+ for that type of ticket. I've never booked with Hop2, so I was skeptical. But I took the chance... and boy I am glad I did. I got my desired flight with luggage for a fantastic price. Thank you so much Hop2! I had zero hiccups, flights all went smoothly, luggage traveled all the way both there and back. I would highly recommend them to others and would DEFINITELY use them again.

Hop2 is a SEXIST & EXTORTIONIST company. Avoid the disrespectful practices lead by this company.

My wife & I were going on our honeymoon, (which was a big deal considering we don't have a lot of money, I'm in the military and she is a school teacher), to Rome & Greece.

We booked tickets to Rome over 9 months in advance after I proposed and got a great deal, however I booked the tickets under her maiden name.

Realizing this a little late when we got to the airport I called the company and spent hours figuring out our options.

She had her new passport and ID with my last name, and we also were carrying her old passport and marriage license with her maiden name. However, the airport would not accept that as proof and the reservation HAD to have her new name.

I called 22.50 hours prior to the departure of our overseas flight and they stated that they could not change her last name.

They suggested cancelling the current reservation, and buying a new ticket. At the cost of $5000!

We had no choice but to swallow the pill of defeat because my wife took my last name.

Not only is this disrespectful, but the actions of this Company is disgusting. Extorting a couple who has barely anything to pay that money is beyond evil

Bad service

It would be fine if you didn't come across an emergency. I needed to fly stand by on the way home, and in order to do so I needed to pay for a simple upgrade. The airline couldn't access my information because I booked via hop2. Hop2 told me they couldn't upgrade, airline told me to call back because they had to offer me the upgrade via the contract with the airline. Hop2 call center in India just had no idea HOW to upgrade. Worthless customer service, if it cost a bit extra, still go through a reputable airline. They will be able to help you if a flight is missed, or other emergency arises. Hop2 is worthless unless all your ducks line up every time.

I fly budget airlines and use Skyscanner and Skiplagged regularly. However, this was by far THE WORST travel experience I have ever experienced. Not only was I not able to get the price listed on their website, they put me on hold for close to 5 hours all the while telling me about every 45 minutes that the price had increased. This happened over and over and over again. By the time it was 2am I had to go to bed so the agent who was helping me told me they would book it for me and send the confirmation that night. This did not happen. Instead, when I called back the next day I was blindly transferred from agent to agent to managers(?) where I had to retell my story over and over again. I was promised a system override to secure the original price I was told (I had records of the conversation from their chat feature), but after another 3 hours on the line, numerous dropped calls, and countless more blind transfers I finally gave up and booked the flights on my own. I will NEVER do business with this company. No flight price is worth the frustration I experienced. Book with a different company or bite the bullet and pay a hundred dollars more to do it on your own.
