During a soaking rain a dripping leak would appear in the ceiling. I logged onto Angi and was given the name of a local roofer who I called and was surprised to be able to schedule a repair the next morning. The next morning I was again surprised to find out that the problem was probably caused by moss growing on the roof. The repair team cleaned the moss off and we had rain all day the very next day and NO LEAK!
We had "endless" calls from vendors trying to get job even days after we hired our contractor. Even had companies come out & begin to measure to give quote. Even had 1 email us full quote & scheduled appointment to do work AND tried to bill us for the job we did not ask for & which was not done. Very high pressure way beyond being proactive- were presumptuous. This was NOT the case with the company we chose. GLOSS BOSS was proactive after we explained job & worked to meet our needs.

I was called within 30 minutes after going on Angi by 3 companys. After talking with them they were at my house within the hour to give me an estimate.
Jasmine Cleaning Services did a very good and thorough job. Tried to clean buildup around shower that I did not even mention to clean. This was the first time cleaning for me. I had a lot of cleaning people thru my house and I was impressed especially with Jasmine. This is a family business and the price is very reasonable. Plan to have them every two weeks.
Tampa Landscape Solutions cleared out an overgrown garden bed. The crew was prompt, completed the work as promised and cleaned up afterwards, leaving the area looking great. They were a pleasure to do business with; and we would call them again for projects needing their expertise. Would not hesitate to recommend them.
Bedroom full of water, could hear water running at spigot but inside wall. I had to shut it off at meter. They cut sheet rock from inside house, replaced parts, and had water back on within an hour.

So this happened just now, Sep 14,2022. I scheduled a 2-hour deep cleaning about a month ago with HomeAdvisor. The cleaner confirmed via text with me TWICE over the last weeks and got a text this AM to confirm I had an appointment (which I said yes.)
They then sent me a cancellation. I emailed them immediately and said they should be rescheduling me. What company wouldn't do that? They said they, 'need 48 hours to reschedule' (mind you, I had to ask?)
I was going to be a first-time customer. I'd be cautious. Some reviews are really positive but other sites show that they do this garbage Don't use HomeAdvisor for cleaning services!
Contractors no showed, never returned proposals, even the angi " advisor" closed the project without discussing with me
On 9/6/22 I received an email from Home Advisor that an appointment was confirmed with a company for electrical services for 9/15. My husband drove over 1,000 miles, from Maryland to Florida, for this appointment. On pm 9/13, I received an email from Home Advisor that the appointment was cancelled. I had also missed a call from Home Advisor. The email indicated to call Home Advisor *******177 if I had not discussed the cancellation with the electrical company. I called the number and was told that another department would be able to assist me. I was given the number *******387 but transferred directly. This person could not find an account for me by phone number or email. They told me to call the main number *******722. Before calling that number, I called the electrical company and was told that they had no record of an appointment ever being scheduled. I asked if this has happened before with Home Advisor and they said that it had. They were able to schedule an appointment, which, not there fault, but now my husband has to stay in Florida an extra day to get the work done. After settling that, I called the last number given for Home Advisor. I was offered for them to set up another account and schedule another appointment and promised that appointment would not be cancelled. I guess it is not a cancellation if the appointment is never made, is it? They are supposed to provide a service, I thought they were reliable, and found out that they are a waste of time.

Wil Contractors, Inc. showed up on time for scheduled appointment and gave me a great estimate they gets "5" Stars.
Hired them they did an awesome and outstanding job
I wanted quotes from 2-4 contractors and they just started booking appointments instead.

Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
