I recently ordered two shirts from Tailor4less. One shirt fit perfectly and the other did not (sleeves were a couple of inches too lone and the shoulder area was tight). I inquired on how to correct the issue and was told to use a local tailor. The local tailor indicated that a correction could not be made locally due to the design flaws of the shirt. I inquired s to next steps, which was told required me to send the shirt back at MY expense. I had to submit a photo as proof, at which point the customer service rep (Sergio Valle) responded that the shirt fit me well. Regardless the fact that the local tailor negatively commented on the fit and I, the customer was not satisfied with the "custom" fit. Stay way from this company, they are more concerned with quickly closing service tickets and do not have good strategy around customer service. Two shirts ordered at the same time, one fit and one did not, so if you are interested in 50% accuracy, feel free to use Tailor4less. I have since used Indochino and the fit and customer experience was excellent. I also checked their terms and if a shirt can't be adjusted by a local tailor, they take care of the shipping or remake a shirt at no added costs.

I waited 3 weeks for a custom suit that arrived packed into a tee shirt box, so arrived very wrinkled and creased. Next, the jacket was not the style I originally ordered and I have a 36 waist but it was easily 50in. Also, the jacket was unevenly tailored, so the right side of the jacket fit unevenly, with extra fabric forming a lump when buttoned. Also, the fabric is poor quality, very thin, more in line with shirt quality fabric vs. a mans quality suit. I contacted their customer service and they basically sent me copy of their no refund or return policy. They actually sent me the wrong jacket and refused to take it back. Then they recommended that I contact a local Tailor to have the jacket cut correctly, Yes they actually suggested I find a "Real Tailor" to fix their substandard craftsmanship and they would partially pay for alterations not to exceed a fraction of the actual cost of the alteration and forward receipts. It seems totally stupid to spend $150 on alterations for a jacket and pants that are poor quality in the first place and look cheap. They are basically a SCAM or Con-Artist company with a nice web-site pretending to be a real Clothing Company when its just a poor quality Chinese manufacturer stealing money. They take your money, send you trash and refuse to give refunds or returns, under no circumstance with you get your money back or get a quality garment.

I purchased a men's coat from Hockerty all custom made with 80% Cashmere 20% wool blend material expecting to receive a high-quality coat, however, this was NOT the case, the shape of the coat was ridiculously out of proportion even after triple checking my measurements, the material was a polyester blend instead of the requested & paid for wool cashmere mix, which I kid you not, was so bad that I compared it to a faux wool garment at a cheap store which was ridiculously identical. After expressing my concern to Hockerty and asking for a refund, their response was a solid no even though I did not receive the jacket I paid for. Instead I received a fake wool disproportioned jacket completely useless. I am now $300+ down the drain. Guys and girls, Hockerty get the garments made in China on the cheap so think twice. So Hockerty even if a garment is custom made, you cant pull the no refund return card if you send them a different item than what they paid for. Extremely poor service and I definitely do NOT recommend this brand.

A couple months back I ordered a black suit from Hockerty. I wanted something casual, so I emailed Anna and asked for the jacket to be unstructured, and for the pants to be unlined.
When the suit arrived, it appeared that not only did Anna ignore the special instructions I gave, but I paid a premium charge for an unlined jacket which came in half lined.
I emailed Anna that I thought everything would have to be remade. I told her that the pants were not right, and that the jacket was produced with canvasing, padding, and lining which I did not ask for. She recommended I have a local tailor look at it, and I asked if she would cover the charge to fix her oversight. She lead me to believe she would so I did.
I'd like to point out that at this point that I have worked in the custom clothing business for 11 years, and thought I was doing a favor by preventing a remake.
At the end of the day I got a serviceable product (pants are close enough). When I sent pictures and alteration receipts into Anna, she denied my claim and only refunded a portion back. I pointed out that my alterations were over the "policy" specified amount by the amount that it took to fix the instructions she chose to ignore.
At the end of the day though I like the suit, I was overcharged, and denied the cost of fixing their oversight. Worst customer service experience Ive ever had.

AVOID THEM COMPLETELY

I ordered a custom dress shirt on Nov. 4,2019 and it was received on Nov. 11.2019. I needed it by Nov. 15.

That's the sum total of what they did well. I was careful to specify all measurements needed. What I got was a shirt too small in the neck by 1/2 inch, in the shoulders by 1 inch, too tight to wear and too small to button. No way to contact them by phone, so submitted a customer service report. Only options they gave were to (a) have a local tailor fix it or (b) return it and they would remake - taking 30 days. No refund option.

Also no return address. It came from China, they say they're located in Switzerland, and there is no US address. Who do I send it to? We're below freezing today, but tomorrow I'm taking the plastic bag it arrived in to FedEx to see if they can determine a return address and provide me with proof of shipment so I can dispute the charges with Mastercard. I spoke to Mastercard representive (very nice and helpful) but they cannot dispute the charge until I have proof of return, that I have tried to contact them, and that enough time has passed for them to receive the merchandise returned. It was shipped from China for $15 on top of the $65 for the shirt. Am I supposed to return it for another $15 with expedited shipment?

Bottom line. Don't trust that you'll receive a properly fitted garment, or expect any customer service. Buy at your own risk.

I accurately provided measurements to Hockerty for a shirt, suit jacket and suit trousers.
Measurements were identical for shirt and suit jacket.
The shirt would not be large enough to fit my 14 year old who has not sprouted yet and the buttons will not even meet in the middle.
The suit is so large (top and bottom) that a gorilla would be swimming in it and mishapen. I've never seen such tailoring and all garments are unwearable.
Needless to say I looked for a full refund having completely lost confidence in the company.
Hockerty suggested that they would remake the shirt (if I paid return fees for the non closing version) but one local tailor should fix the suit.
A local tailor evaluated the suit and said that the tailoring was as poor as he has ever seen- it would be impossible to tailor appropriately to my measurements.
I escalated the case to PayPal and am awaiting their inputs.
At this point Hockerty tried to claim that by purchasing via their website I'd only be entitled to Swiss customer rights and that by purchasing from them I was so undertaking to be subject to Swiss law- the garments were dispatched to me in Ireland (EU member) from Madrid, Spain (EU member) incurring no import tariffs as would happen were they Swiss Goods.
I did some more investigations and it would appear that Swiss Goods should be listed in Swiss Francs in accordance with Swiss Order on the Indication of Prices (RS 942.211 Art. 3 & 4) -these were listed in euros at all times on the website- and that EU legislation, specifically the Directive on Consumer Rights (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the Directive on Electronic Commerce (Directive 2000/31/EU), should govern this case, given that the online store targets consumers in EU countries so that full refund should be possible by return of products within 14 days of receipt.
I'm hoping these nuggets may prove useful to the next mark drawn in to a similar circumstance to my own and that if you're that person and glean benefit from these insights please share again for the next such mark after you when you do your own 1 star review.
I would warn anyone away from this unscrupulous company given the shoddy workmanship and devious after sale experiences.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Hockerty. My order of a suit made with a Loro Piana garment fell short of expectations from the moment of delivery. The suit arrived in a disappointingly compact and cheap package, misrepresenting the unboxing experience and seemingly mistreating the quality garment within. The suits are manufactured in China and then bulk-shipped to Spain, leading to the compact packaging before being sorted and dispatched to their final destinations.

It was immediately clear that the measurements were far from accurate, requiring several corrections to achieve a fit that should have been right from the start. More disheartening was the noticeable defect in the garment: the lines on the fabric were not aligned at the central seam behind the back and on a shoulder, detracting significantly from the suit's appearance and making it look cheap.

When I reached out for assistance, my concerns were dismissed for months, with Hockerty's "fashion advisor" attributing the misalignment to the suit being handmade. Having been a customer of a similar online tailor service (starting with a S), I've never encountered such glaring defects. My requests for reimbursement were consistently denied, and attempts to have the blazer redelivered were refused.

After months of frustrating communications and outright denial of my claims, even after sending 14 pictures as evidence, I was thankfully reimbursed through AMEX support, having already sent the suit to the insurance company for handling the case. It was only then that Hockerty offered a remake, a gesture that felt insincere and highlighted their reactive approach to customer service.

For anyone considering Hockerty, especially attracted by Loro Piana fabric, I strongly advise looking into alternatives by reading similar experiences on Reddit, but from my personal experience I can tell: a Zara suit would look better than a Loro Piana fabric handled by Hockerty.

Well, no one will be surprised when I say what everyone else has already said. I so wish I had read this before ordering my tux with them. I would post pics but they are too embarrassing. The Jacket looked like a waiters coat, the neck of the shirt would not button, the pants were too big and the vest was too small. They were very difficult to communicate with and because of all this the 2 events I was going to wear the tux to will not happen. They agreed to remake the jacket and shirt if I paid shipping, so I did. I did not have a choice. I did ask for a credit so I could order something of use, and they would not do that. When the remade suit arrives, well see. They asked for pics and seamstress measurements over and over even after i had sent them. Only upside is that if it is right then Ill have a tux on standby. Modern Tailor is much better at shirts, I have also used Original Stitch for shirts and once I got the measurement right they were good, but they were easy to work with for a remake and they had a US rep who spoke english well. Stay away from tailor4less. I will post this on their website as well after my suit arrives, but I doubt they will keep it on there.

I really didn't expect too much because of a lot of bad reviews that I read about the former brand name tailor4less or so...

In the end I was so happy with the tailcoat that I ordered (I need one quite often being a professional musician) that I ordered a normal suit immediately after I received my tailcoat!
There was an offer from Hockerty, that I got a shirt for free, and to my surprise I could also order a shirt that is fitting to the tailcoat.
What can I say, the suit is perfect and the short too...

If you expect the same quality as for a 1000 suit you might be disappointed, but for 200 you really cannot complain at all!

After all I have to make clear that I am one of the guys who has difficulties in finding a proper suit anyway because I am nearly 2 meters and 125 kilos!
So the "normal stuff" usually doesn't fit too well.

I am really happy with Hockerty and will tell all my friends and colleagues about it and will surely order there again!

P.S. My suit got stuck in the customs so I had to pay 69 for the DHL guy.
Not even one day later I got 55 back to my paypalaccount and the rest is on my Hockerty account for my next buy...

I should mention that I have ordered from Hockerty before, but I have noticed that there is an increasing frequency of negative feedback regarding the quality of the products sent. Clearly, the service and the quality are in continuous decline. I strongly advise against relying on these incompetent scammers. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the quality of the materials. But here's the kicker: the order never arrived.

Hockerty perfectly embodies everything to avoid in healthy customer relationship management:
- Slow responses, IF any
- Vague and incompetent assistance. This is the painful point. They believe that the other side is populated by people who don't know how to get along in the world, for various reasons. Before purchasing the suit, I explicitly asked for support from Hockerty assistance because I was following a diet, and the measurements could vary (which they did). They themselves advised me to wait, despite being aware of the significant delays their orders had been experiencing for some time. I trusted them (a grave mistake) and completed the purchase about a month in advance, considering the three weeks they guaranteed plus a safety margin. The aggravating factor is that they sent automated emails stating that the order had been shipped. But on the website, the delivery date was extended by just one day every day. So, each day, they postponed the delivery. This is already a serious failure on their part. A serious company would have warned in advance about frequent delays, giving time for customers who unfortunately made purchases on this site to find a more effective solution. No, with automated emails and blame-shifting apology messages, these people waste your time, energy, and money. Now, I will have to face the wedding in the coming days with a patched-up solution that will cost me additional money and time. This is a site that deserves to close.

I rarely feel obliged to write a review. I have always thought that to err is human. But the absolute indifference, the consideration of us buyers as incapable of understanding and willing, the damage caused to me and many others in my situation, convinced me to put this experience in black and white, hoping to dissuade as many people as possible from purchasing here. I will also write a version in English to ensure that as many people as possible read it. In my personal case, I will proceed legally because I will demand compensation for unfair commercial practice, delays beyond what is tolerated by the Consumer Code, and damage resulting from the additional purchase of an unnecessary suit.

Any response to this review will be an attempt to recover the unrecoverable.

Update: The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Despite the response published below, I have not received any contact. Hockerty is the worst brand to rely on.

I have received my trousers that I paid 100usd and 130aud for and am extremely disappointed.

The measurementswere good however the quality was terrible I am able to purchase two pairs of pants for aud100 at much better quality with lining and much better quality material the cotton is cheap and whilst I thought it would be nice to get tailor made it has been a dreadful waste of money and time and whilst I planned to buy another 3 pairs and a jacket if this is your standard it will be the final time i utilise your company

I ordered a suit and a trench coat but prior to this I ordered samples and paid £5 wanted to make sure I get the right goods. When both arrived after about 20 days directly from China, I discovered not only the size of the suit was incorrect but also the pattern and quality of the fabric was not the same at all! I measured the suit with my given measurements and these were not the same, at least an inch different on every dimension. The quality of the fabric was so bad that the suit was crying on me. I emailed them and they said replied by saying take it a tailor and we will pay £250.00 towards alterations for both. I showed it to two tailors and they said the garment is of poor quality it would not matter how good the alteration will it still would not look good when worn. They also advised it would cost more to alter than buying a new suit and trench coat. I wrote to Hockerty about this and they were adamant they will not refund. They will just drain you with numerous email replies by repeating themselves. I had taken pictures of everything, including the measurements by putting a tape measure on the areas they had advised to measure to show the difference. I also took a picture by putting the sample fabric against the suit. I am now MAKING A CLAIM AGAINST THEM THROUGH "ONLINE MONEY CLAIM WEBSITE". Do not let them trample on you. Make the effort of making the claim against them. They're a bunch of crooks!

You only get married once right, so why not get your self something special? BUT DON'T GET IT FROM HOCKERTY! I spent $317 USD on a waste coat(vest), shirt and pants thinking, I'm giving them very accurate measurements, it's fool proof." But I was a fool believing their website was legitimate. You think you're buying from a nice looking UK company but it's Chinese sweat shop garbage. I ordered a size 38 waist pants, and what I got was more like a 32-34 waist. I have wide shoulders and a strong chest and also gave them accurate measurements for the order. I cant even pull the vest past the sides of my ribs it's so small, and the shirt cant even button up. I gave them a sleeve length of 25 inches, and I received sleeves just shy of 24 inches. Not to mention how thin the fabric is! You assume the wool blends your ordering, or the premium shirt fabric will be nice. Wal-Mart doesn't even sell cloths with fabric this cheap and thin. Look, when your planning a wedding money is tight, but if your buying from Hockerty you'll be losing it. They don't offer refunds, and the last message I got from customer service was to update my info so they can remake the pants. Do they not understand that I need everything remade? Oh and one more thing, their customer service is so slow. I get time zones but as of right now it's 9:00 am EST and they say their customer service works 09 a.m. - 18 p.m. CET. So it's like 2:00 pm there so why do they only respond once a day and then send an email saying they'll get back to me in 48 hours? Anyways, getting married during the virus is hard, it would have been nice to have a nice outfit I was happy to have. Now I want nothing more than put this ordeal with Hockerty behind me. After waisting $317 USD, I find my self without something to wear for a wedding that's is 60 days away. Good on you Hockerty, your Chinese company and Chinese virus have utterly screwed me over.
