MISLEADING & INACCURATE Measurements. Warranty is just a scam. They will not refund you.
November 26, 2022

The service recommended measurements were based on my height and weight.
I'm 165cm@ 61kg muscular build.
The website warned me and suggested to not change THEIR recommended values because I could be wrong... okay...
Although I can see the measurement values are WAY bigger than what I usually wear, I trusted the recommendations because if I made any changes, it would be my fault.
Also... they "guaranteed" refund for adjustments if any are required.

I selected most of the extra options/add-ons and the price ended up around $550 total.

Of course when the suit came... things were larger than expected.
I measured the jacket, the vest, and pants.
All of them were generally larger and didn't even fit me.

The interesting thing is that not only that it didn't fit me... it didn't even match the measurements.
Eg; I should be wearing a size1, but their website recommended size2, when the suit came, I measured it with a tape ruler and measured a size3... what...?
This was the case for all three jacket, vest, and pants.

I wasn't going to be picky and just needed alterations on the pants because it had a waist size33-34 and I wear a size30... there was no way I could make that work with a belt.
The length was obviously longer because their recommendations were off so I had that altered as well.

I contacted them to start the alterations.
I made alterations locally as it would cost more to ship it BACK TO CHINA.
YES, THEY MAKE THIS IN CHINA.
The after math of me asking for refund for the pants alone is shown below.
THEY TRY TO CLOSE OUT YOUR TICKET WIITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING ANYTHING.

As far as quality of fabric goes, its exactly what you would expect from china.

Buyers BEWARE.

Tip for consumers:

If you're going to spend $500 for a suit, just go to a local place.
This is hockerty place outsources all measurements and sewing to china.
They will not get your measurements correctly.

This company is a complete scam
November 10, 2022

Don't believe their "perfect fit guarantee". They will NOT honor it. I bought a pair of slim fit chinos from them that weren't even slim fit. They were regular/classic fit, or even boot cut I'm not sure. The taper from the knee of the chinos down to the bottom was pretty much non existent not to mention the thigh of the pants weren't tapered at all. So I figured, ok there is a "perfect fit guarantee" so I contacted them about 1 day after I received the order (still within their unrealistic 7 day window).

They tell me to take them to the tailor and get a quote. I travel all the way to the tailor that they recommended (which costs me about 10 USD round trip by train) and the tailor gives me a quote more than the price of the 100 USD pants. Which makes since because the tailor would need to turn some wide legged regular fit pants into slim fit which is basically remaking the pants.

I contact Hockerty and tell them it is unrealistic to expect a tailor to do this work for 25 percent of the price of a 100 dollar pair of pants which is only 25 dollars. I asked them if I could return the pants and they just KEPT SAYING THE SAME THING. Take it to another tailor and get another quote. I tell them that it costs time and money to go to tailors to ask them to literally remake these pants for 25 dollars. It's not going to happen.

Now here is the kicker. I asked them why they aren't honoring the "perfect fit guarantee" and the woman literally told me that she consulted with "the tailor" and he/she has determined that the pants fit you fine. At this point I am just confused at how this "tailor" that doesn't even know me can tell me that I'm wrong about how the pants fit. Especially if they are advertising a "perfect fit guarantee". So basically, the "perfect fit guarantee" is non existent because they will just say, oh we think it fits fine therefore it's a perfect fit. Who cares if you feel that they don't fit properly.

I asked the lady to speak with somebody else, maybe a manager or something and she basically said "I consulted with them and they say that the pants fit you fine" even though I sent pictures comparing the pants that I received to the pants advertised on their site which weren't even the same color!

Anyways, when it comes to something as important as how your clothes fit when ordering tailored garments, you want to purchase from a company you can trust. Imagine if you were to order your wedding garments from this place and they didn't fit properly? You'd literally be screwed and would either have to look like crap on an important day or shell out more cash to go somewhere else.

So yes, learn from my mistake and don't go with this scam of a company. I really wish there was a similar company that actually honored their promises and provide a similar service and maybe there is, but Hockerty IS NOT THAT COMPANY.

Tip for consumers:

Don't use it.

Hockerty is nothing but UNRESPONSIVE THIEVES!
September 17, 2022

To say this company are thieves and dishonest would be an absolute understatement.

I ordered a suit on April 5,2022 with a guaranteed delivery date of April 27th. Throughout the month of April I checked the status of the suit. There was virtually no progress. When nothing moved for the first week I sent my first cancellation request within the time specified with ABSOLUTELY ZERO response.

I sent 3 more status/cancellation requests in the next two weeks as I needed the suit for a wedding on April 29th, again with NO RESPONSE.

Fast forward to April 27th, delivery day. On that day I receive an email in which they say they won't be delivering the suit that day and to paraphrase "I'll get it when I get it." I immediately respond that I no longer want the suit as they will not meet my date and as I'm sure is a surprise to no one, receive NO a RESPONSE once again.

May 7th I received a pretty generic email from them saying "we're working on orders," but no specifics to my particular suit, updated dates, or anything actually useful. I respond yet again at that time that I no longer want my order and I would prefer a refund at this point. Again, ZERO RESPONSE.

June 12th comes and my suit arrives. OK, it's way overdue but it looks great so I decide to try it on, jacket and vest are perfect, looks great, well sized, all around awesome. Then there's the pants, they completely don't fit. They barely get over my hips and they're about 4 inches from coming together at the waist. Completely wrong.

Take a measurement and they measure 31.5 inches at the waist when I ordered a 36 inch waist.

I immediately, same day as receipt, took pics and contacted customer support. And here's where the real problems start.

June 22nd, support actually responds for once and they say I need to provide pics (which I already had) and update my measurements (which I already had as well). I did it again anyway and then hear nothing back.

June 29th, I get an email that they're closing my ticket because of no response, despite doing all the things they told me to do. So I respond to keep the ticket open and ask what they are doing since I've already responded with the information in their request?

On July 8th, they tell me they were also expecting me to email them when done and that's why they were closing the ticket. Their original message said to simple fill out the form ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about responding to the support ticket to make sure they were aware.

They respond on July 8th telling me to do the exact same things I've already done. Also, now throwing in that I NEEDED TO PAY to have the pants sent back despite it being their issue. ADDITIONALLY, providing no information on where to send them.

I responded that I refuse to pay shipping on something that was their mistake and outlining the entire ordeal up until this point. They then concede to just send a new pair of pants with my updated measurements and that I do not need to send back the pants which were made incorrectly. Fine. That'll work. They say if I have any further questions to let them know. I don't so I say nothing more. That was July 25th.

This week, September 13th, I send an email inquiring about the status of the pants. I get a response 2 days later saying I never accepted their offer (again the email says nothing about this).

At this point I'm completely exhausted and frustrated with this process. I then tell them I just want to return everything and just be done with this and they can refund me in full as it's now 6 months past the date this suit was to be delivered.

As others have stated, these scumbags then say "Oh, sorry you violated our Terms and Conditions by not cancelling early enough." which I in fact did and they CHOSE not to respond to.

At this point I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card as everything I agreed to in purchase was violated by Hockerty.

This company is nothing but cheap, unresponsive thieves.

Tip for consumers:

Just don’t. Avoid them at all costs.

Products used:

None as they were made incorrectly.

DO NOT BUY THERE EVER IN YOUR LIFE
January 14, 2020

Ref. *******
Written the 20th January
Order made the 4th December
I have been waiting for 47 days and didnt get anything

Dear mister Jonathan Blasco
Let's resume my experience in hockerty

47 days I am waiting my order

First you sent it to a wrong address

Then the 19th of december you wrote me that a new order will be created and I would get the order in maximum 15 days that means around the 4th January

The 3rd January you wrote me that the order hasn't been prepared yet and it would take more 10 days before being sent

Lies

I said for the last time: ok...

But now that last delay hasn't been respected like the two previous ones, it has been 47 days! I am waiting and I am tired of that situation

I WANT TO GET REFUNDED

None delay has been respected and therefore I do have the right to claim a refund

Waiting for a quick answer: I WANT TO GET REFUNDED

Thanks God I didnt get anything. At least I have the right to claim my money back because I dont want to deal with you anymore

So I want my money back for you didnt send me anything

Jonathan Blasco, you write me once a week to tell me: yes, I understand you. I'm checking for you...

And nothing happened for more than a month

Where have you seen a company which doesn't deliver you after 47 days?

It starts to be not nice...
Mister Jonathan Blasco, I have allowed you to postpone my order three times. I told you: ok, take your time but the most important for me is that the order will be in right measures and in a good quality
I am even not sure I will get it in good conditions according to the reviews I have read. But when I see how serious your company is about the timeframe, I start to be very sceptical

I have not much money. I can afford myself buying something for myself once in a couple of years

If honestly you think you can't send me my order in a respectful timeframe and in a good measurements and shape... so let me know now and let's proceed to the delete of the order.
I want to get refunded
I will not give you a last chance

Your company is not honest. You haven't honoured any delay
I want to get refunded and I swear I will leave this review in every single social media existing until I get my money back
You have spoiled my new year's eve and my mood
Thank you Mister Blasco
No need to answer me that you will check what is going on with the confection department... I dont believe you anymore. Just write me to tell me that you have sent my money back
I dont want to deal with your company anymore
Never again
Never again!

Poor customer service and shirt tailoring
April 25, 2019

Hockerty is an excellent concept and has a good range of shirts and materials. Unfortunately, as noted by other reviews, they often do not seem to follow the measurements which are inputted on their website. Every shirt/polo shirt I have ordered has been incorrect. Despite entering an 88.2cm belly measurement on the website, the shirts provided had over 110cm of fabric in that area. Previously shirts have been sent which were too short or had simply ignored the shoulder measurements and made them too short.

Jonas and Thomas were the main representatives that I dealt with during the problems I have experienced and they seem oblivious to the fact that the tailors have simply ignored the measurements that were sent to them despite me going through the trouble of sending them additional measurements and pictures (at their request) for the corrections to the shirts and for future orders. Their insistence on me sending three pictures in every item I had ordered was timewasting and further frustrating when they did not even acknowledge that it came to light that even shirts in the same order with exactly the same measurements had different problems. All they need to do is see one shirt on the order is incorrect and then either refund it or replace it.

This on top of the fact that the order I placed took almost two months to arrive (outside their prescribed delivery time) with no notification and no compensation.

Although they accepted a return on the order (at my expense), even the replacements have had problems and they continually push they policy regarding getting amendments by a local tailor but seem ignorant to the fact that we have used the service to save time and visits to tailors etc. Not to mention the fact that at one point they wanted me to use a local tailor to lengthen the shirt, I felt like this was a completely oblivious response which demonstrated the ineptitude of the customer service who thought I had a magic tailor who could make new fabric out of nowhere.

Unfortunately, I need to spend the credit that I will earn on their site with the amendment credits and I also need a matching blazer using the same fabric as they used for a pair of trousers I have but once this set of orders are dealt with, unless they are able to handle the orders accurately and professionally, this will be my last dealing with them.

To give credit where it is due, the quality of the materials are great, their trousers are of excellent quality and I have had much more success with them, finally getting tailored trousers which fit me appropriately.

The people at Hockerty have a lot of skill but need more accuracy and care regarding adherence to the measurements when it comes to shirts. A sign of good customer service is acknowledging where failures are happening and ensuring they do not happen again. A simple acknowledgement of the problems and perhaps a quick refund of two of the shirts or half the order as a goodwill gesture in appreciation of the efforts to get it tailored and that they have failed to provide the service I have paid for TWICE.

Don't waist your money, time
August 29, 2018

Please don't get scam by this website and all the fake reviews. If you don't believe me do more extensive research online, and see how this is a rebranding of another chinies company that closed after many years of scamming people and giving them bad $#*!ty products. Alot of 5 star reviews are fake and you can find duplicates with same exact content. That all said, unfortunately I got lured in purchasing a suite from this website and had to deal with many days of back and forth emails, frustration and in the end got my self an overpriced mediocre suite. "The perfect fit gaurente" they advertise on every page is a false advertisement to lure in customer. Once your suite arrives It will not be as easy to get it "to perfectly fit". Suite came in a DHL box the size of a college text book, so small that The suite was filled three times. My suite was terribly cut and was very ill fitting. The pants looked like I MC hammer pants (not even joking), even though it was suppose to be slim fit. The jacket was supper long, and the biceps area was supper tight (FYI- I am a very average, 6ft tall 160 lbd dude). Overall it looked like I am wearing my dad's suit from 1980s. Luckily I email them the same day, because you only have first 7 days to notify them to get any tailoring fee. They tell you to send pics and based on those pics they will say if they think this can be fix by tailor or need a new suit. They told me I can get it tailored by anyone near me but they will only cover up to 25% of the price of suit. I personally did not see this claw anywhere but they claim it is in their policy page. They also will give you a very short timeline to get to tailor and have a recipe sent to them. My suite needed 40$ above the 25% limit, which was the cheapest I could find after going to 3 different tailors.
The back and forth email to get simple answer is exhausting. They work on China time so unless you email them early morning don't expect response until next day (this is not too unreasonable).

Overall terrible experience, I don't write that many reviews but this company is really shady and I would stay away.

Don't take the risk, it's not worth it
July 5, 2018

I would caution anyone and everyone not to take the risk dealing with this dreadful company.

As a disabled man, I find shopping for clothes quite difficult and so I prefer to shop online. I came across the Hockerty website and it sounded like a fantastic option, so I had a local tailor take my measurements and placed an order for a jacket and coat from Hockerty.

Everything seemed great until the garments arrived. I excitedly opened the parcels and tried on the jacket first. It was huge and wrapped around me twice, had giant shoulder pads that wouldnt have been out of place on the set of Dynasty and sleeves like a kimono.

Thoroughly disappointed, I tried on the coat to see if that was better and to my dismay it was worse, it was even bigger. I could use it as a tent and the difference in length between the top of the sleeves and the bottom of the sleeves made it appear to have penguin wings rather than sleeves and made it impossible to move my arms more than a few inches from my sides.

I contacted Hockerty hoping this had been some mistake in their system and assuming they would apologise and remake my garments. How wrong was I? Firstly, their customer services are laboriously slow to reply and have very poor grasp of English. Initially they refused to remake the garments and insisted that the only option was for me to take the garments to be altered at a local tailor and they would refund the costs of the alterations.

I wasnt at all happy with this but complied and took the garments to the same tailor who took my original measurements for me and their response was initially to laugh at how bad the garments were, and their advice was that alterations were totally impossible as the garments were made so poorly, and, in their opinion, I should seek a refund.

I immediately contacted Hockerty and informed of this and asked for a refund and to arrange for returning the garments. Two days later I was told that a refund was not an option, but they would remake the garments if I would provide them with photographs of me wearing the garments from the front, side and back. I was very reluctant to accept the remake given the state of the first attempt but as they were not willing to budge I gave them all the correct measurements again and pointed out how their measurements differed from the measurements I had provided. I also advised that due to my disability I was unable to stand to take photographs of myself and I lived alone. Furthermore, I wasnt happy to have photographs of my flying around the world.

Several emails went back and forth over the course of a few weeks and Hockerty refused to budge from their position and even suggested at one point that it was probably my disability that made the garments poor fitting.

On research, I have discovered that Hockerty is a front for a Chinese company who were previously called Tailor4less and obviously changed the trading name due to the masses of bad reviews they have all over the web in the old name with people describing the same situation as I am in with this company. It appears that the orders are not actually made by professional tailors, but measurements are computer generated then stitched together in Chinese factories.

I have basically lost nearly £300 and I am unable to sue given their location. I am however pursuing the matter with their UK web hosting company and banking suppliers along with UK Trading standards authorities.

The worst financial decision I have made for a long time.
April 26, 2017

The worst financial decision I have made for a long time.

Do not let the slick, interactive website fool you. Everything is fine until the product arrives (in a flat cardboard box). The sizes were sooo wrong! Shoulders too tight, sleeves too long, trousers too long, waist too big. I spent £380!

Luckily they have a 'perfect fit guarantee', so there is some process to avoid total failure. They asked to send pictures, so I did. They said they will pay for cost of alterations (up to 25% of 380), so I took it to the tailor, who felt sorry for me. They said this is so bad, I should just ask for my money back. So I did.

The response was that it's impossible to refund, so they promised to remake the suit.

So to ensure there were no mistakes, I paid a professional tailor to take my measurements according to tailor4less' instructions. While doing this, I noticed that the video showed them measuring down to the floor, but the description said to measure to the trouser end. A clear 100% mistake that I made them aware of.

I live in the UK so I had to pay £14 to send the package to Spain. Of course, they refused to pay for this.

After a few weeks, the suit finally arrived. This time not even in a box!

And guess what?

It still did not fit. Shoulders better but still not right. Sleeves too long. Trousers better but still too long and not very 'slim fit'.

I also received a cheeky invoice for $15, which I think came from Shanghai! LOL, this went straight in the bin.

So what happened next?

I emailed them and asked to refund the cost of alterations, because hopefully this time the suit can actually be altered. Their response was they can only issue the refund by giving me store credit to shop in tailor4less. I DO NOT WANT STORE CREDIT BECAUSE I AM NEVER BUYING FROM YOU EVER AGAIN!

At the end of the day, these people need to be put out of business. Even though they clear made a mistake, as I showed in the measurement instructions, they still think I'm wrong and they are right.

I have never been so stressed about a purchase. NEVER

DISCLAIMER: Hopefully this will discourage potential buyers and end up costing them a lot more than the £380 they did not refund me. In fact you will see this review on every possible review website. If they want me to take it down, my price will be much higher than a few hundred pounds.

I already warned them about my willingness to write terrible reviews, but they just had to stick to their policy didn't they.

Best of luck,

Rob Skeens

*****DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TAILOR4LESS.COM*****

*****DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TAILOR4LESS.COM*****
It is with deep regret that I must inform you that the company "Tailor4Less.com" should be thoroughly investigated for business malpractice. They have received payment, provided a terrible product which neither looks like what was promised on their website, nor (did mine) get made properly at all. You'll get the story of my terribly made coat below...

I am, of course, an extremely unhappy customer, and I am not alone. In a 5 minute search, I was able to find tens of complaints from tens of extremely unhappy customers. All of whom warn others to stay away from Tailor4Less.com, for a variety of reasons, ranging from terribly made products, misleading online marketing to terrible customer service.

WHAT HAPPENED TO ME:
I was extremely excited to order a new coat, customer tailored to my exact body measurements.
When it arrived, I was immediately heartbroken.
Tailor4Less.com offers to fund further tailoring, but as you will read, they DO NOT take this seriously, and DO NOT practice good business.
1.) The shoulders were 1.0 inch longer than the measurements I provided. (My tailor had to remove the arms and reattach them.)
2.) The sleeves were stitched together with 3 different colors of thread (black, red and yellow). (My tailor had to take ever single piece of fabric apart and restitch the whole thing, with black thread only, of course!)
3.) The sleeves were stitched together so poorly that there were holes at the seems (one was 1+ inches wide), and I could pull the seems apart with little effort. (See the tailor task above.)
4.) The overlap at the end of the sleeves which is supposed to be used to fasten the buttons DIDN'T EXIST. The person who did this part just made a straight cut, then twisted the material so that the sleeves were triangular toward the ends. The final 3 inches of the sleeves went from about 4 inches in diameter to about 3 inches in diameter. This looked ridiculous, and was uncomfortably tight around the wrists. (My tailor was so confused... She had to add material to the sleeves so that they could be 4 inches in diameter straight until the ends.)
5.) The coat materials do not match the images on the website. This is a common complaint. My coat is a nice color, but it is a way way way lighter gray than what was promised. So, it's not what I ordered.
6.) I have spent hours attempting to achieve resolutions by emailing Tailor4Less.com, and I have spent hours and used gas driving to and from my tailor. Making the customer work is not good business!

I communicated the final tailoring cost of $115.50 to Katia at Tailor4Less.com, along with a detailed description of all of the problems, their resolutions, and the receipt from the tailor. She stated nicely that the refund was on its way.

The refund for the $115.50 CAD repairs came in as $67.34 CAD.

SUMMARY:
I paid $336.78 CAD for a miss-measured, poorly stitched, coat with holes in it.
I paid $115.00 CAD to have it corrected to become wearable.
I received $67.34 CAD toward the tailoring.
I effectively paid $48.16 CAD for the corrections.
I paid $23.39 CAD duty fees, which Tailor4Less.com does not advise you of before purchasing.
TOTAL: I paid a total of $408.33 (for a coat which is now wearable, but still looks bad, and will probably sit in my closet long term).

Several emails later, all Katia is willing to do is to offer me 10% off and $10 toward my next "Tailor4Less.com purchase", which will NEVER occur.

IN CONCLUSION:
People should be warned to NEVER SHOP at Tailor4Less.com, and the company should be shut down or fully reformed by regulatory authorities.

Thanks for reading!

Technically, my review is for Sumissura.com, previously...
November 27, 2014

Technically, my review is for Sumissura.com, previously Tailor4Less Women.

Since they don't have a page where I can review them, I will do it at the men's page instead.

They say that their clothing is "made to measure" which in fact means "we will completely disregard your measurements and then not provide financial compensation in the event the garments are so bad that it costs more than half their cost to have them fixed by your local tailor".

I gave them my measurements. They asked me to confirm my measurements. I confirmed my measurements.

I then received a skirt, jacket and shirt, all of which are too big. I log on to my measurement profile and for some strange reason, after I confirmed my measurements the company changed my measurement profile to include 3 larger measurements not confirmed by me that completely throw off the fit of the clothing.

Went to my local tailor - it will cost $240 to fix everything. When I spent $400 to begin with - so more than half the cost of the items to make them fit. Things wrong: jacket shoulder width, jacket length, jacket sleeve length, jacket waist, shirt should width, shirt waist, shirt sleeve length, skirt waist, skirt hips.

Complain to Sumissura/Tailor4Less and provide photographs showing that the measurements I confirmed with them are correct, the measurements of their garments are not and they keep replying that the items were made "in accordance with the measurements I confirmed". Then they say they can't confirm the measurements the tailor used without looking at the garments. Apparently my photos are not evidence enough.

No explanation of why my measurement profile contains incorrect measurements not entered or confirmed by me. No explanation about why my photographs are not sufficient evidence. No explanation about why they had to add 4-5cm to every single measurement "for mobility".

That's not mobility. That's making everything a size or more too big. How on earth is that a "perfect fit"?

Then they tell me that they will close my support ticket unless I "accept their proposed resolution" - even though the reason the matter isn't resolved is because they refuse to answer my questions about why my measurement profile was incorrectly updated etc.

I am now at the point where I have had to lodge a dispute with my credit card company in an attempt to reverse the transaction on the basis that the goods I received are defective.

They are NOT worth the trouble. Do. Not. Bother.
