The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

The auctions offer unique and interesting items, and bidding is a fun thing to do.
I was able to go see what I was bidding on since I was close to the location. Bidding was easy but I had trouble with my internet connection and I had to close down and restart because the bidding locked up. There was a nice greeting before it started and received a nice receipt after it was done. The auctioneer was very friendly and pickup was easy.
Sometimes there are necklaces i want but it doest state the length. Sometimes there are satuesi but it gives no clue to size. More often than noti I pass on things because theI the info I want is not there. It usually concerns sizes.
I was looking for vintage Pokemon cards. I found what I was looking for.
The newest design for the website needs to be changed / updated by a good web designer. There are too many flaws / quirks that happen while on the website or during bids. My friends complain about bidding from their iPhones too.
The site it self was well organized, easy to follow and informative. The only aspect that caused my score of 4 stars instead of 5 was the repeated occurrence of having to refresh the site. I came close to losing the item I was bidding on when my screen froze in the final minutes. Other than that A1.
Everything was good, when it got towards the end it kept crashing on my end.
Blank screens and couldn't update bids.
Also could not get back to a page where we could see items we had not bid on at that point we could only see things we had already bid on.
We apologize for the delayed response, Scott, and understand how frustrating it can be when the platform isn't working as expected. Technical issues, such as blank screens and difficulty updating bids, can sometimes occur due to connectivity or device-related issues. If this continues to happen, we recommend trying a different device or ensuring a stable internet connection. If you need further assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll do our best to help. We appreciate your feedback and hope your future experiences go more smoothly!
It's an absolute joy and pleasure to be able to have the privilege to bid on these auctions, and to be able to acquire some timeless objects from throughout history. Thank you so much.
So, in the recent record auction. I was away from my laptop and used the mobile app. I bid on a record and was winning it when the auction said it was closing. After I felt the win was well in hand, I shut the app off. When I returned home to finish the auction, I noticed that I had actually lost that record to someone else? The app did not work as intended.
The auction was scheduled to end 7pm April 2nd. I got an email that day announcing it was being postponed until April 9th because of an approaching storm. I had been bidding on items with the expectation of the auction ending as stated in each description. When I contacted them to get an explanation I was told some bidders may lose power due to the storm and wouldn't be able to bid. Problem with that excuse is the storm wasn't set to start until the 4th of April. I saw other auctions that were scheduled to end on the 2nd that simply delayed the pickup times if weather was a problem! That postponement seemed unfair to people that were already bidding. I have a different theory as to why it was postponed. It's possible I may have paid less for things I won and won things I dropped out of because of the delay of a week.
We apologize for the delayed response, Dan, and understand your frustration. We recognize how important it is for auction timelines to be clear and consistent. Auctioneers have the discretion to change auction dates, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, but we understand that this can be frustrating for bidders. If you feel there was an issue with the postponement, we encourage you to contact the auctioneer directly to express your concerns. If you need assistance with this or have further questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to improving the overall experience.
It was fine but I had like 6 or 7 guns i was bidding on and it went so fast I missed out on at least 3 guns,
Kind of disappointing. Especially when you add 3 minutes then it would stay up.
Try bidding on your phone guys! As i travel alot and do not always have access to my laptop.
Thanks Joel
We appreciate your feedback, Joel, and apologize for the delayed response. We understand how frustrating it can be when bidding moves quickly, especially on multiple items. Auctioneers set their own bidding rules, including time extensions, but we’ll share your concerns as feedback. If you’re experiencing challenges with mobile bidding, please reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774—we’d be happy to help optimize your experience. Thanks for your input!
I said I had nothing but a good experience why you have to do this crazy stuff this is the only part about it it's not good you asked me the same question in a different form twice in a row
I look at it on a daily basis as I follow a few different accounts. I like using the app more than the website but if I get to many in the watch section mine always locks up. Wish there was a better platform for the app is all.
Loved how auctions went off in sections n not at once
The HiBid auctions seem completely unregulated. From fees being all over the place to starting bids being all over the place. Don't try to ask a question of an auctioneer because chances are you will never get an answer. Items can be completely misidentified to just flat out lies on what they actually are. This is like EBay 20 years ago. I get the solid feeling HiBid is not worried about what is going on.
We apologize for the delayed response, Crimson, and appreciate your feedback. HiBid is a platform that auctioneers use to run their own independent sales, which is why fees, starting bids, and item descriptions can vary. Auctioneers are responsible for listing accuracy and communication, so if you're unsure about an item or auction details, we recommend reaching out to the seller directly. If you need assistance facilitating communication or navigating the platform, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Your input is valuable, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the bidding experience.
This sale had waaaay too many lots closing at the same time...worst sale ever for that!
This sale did not need a 4 minute extension to the bidding time; most sales have 2 mins which is lots if you know what you are doing.
On this sale; I registered for the sale, but when I bid I still needed approval by the auctioneer?
We apologize for the delayed response, Wally, and appreciate your feedback. Auctioneers set their own rules regarding lot closing times, bid extensions, and bidder approvals, which can vary from sale to sale. We understand how this can be frustrating, especially when expectations differ from previous auctions. If you have any concerns about a specific auction, we recommend reaching out to the seller directly. If you need assistance navigating the platform, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thanks for sharing your experience!
During bidding there were at least 3 lost connectivity and resets.
I can understand the "soft close" benefits for an auction, but please educate the other bidders! Lots of bidders are acting like this is eBay and placing bids at the last few seconds running an auction up an extra 5+ minutes without realizing what is happening. The warning about soft closes needs to be in large bold text explaining to the users what happens.
We apologize for the delayed response, Bob, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how the soft close feature can be frustrating if bidders aren’t fully aware of how it works. There is a Bidding Help page on HiBid that explains this in detail—if you click on your name in the top left corner of the site and select Bidding Help, you’ll find more information: https://hibid.com/account/biddinghelp. If you have any other questions or suggestions, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thanks for your input!
They suck at customers ervice issues. I've gone thru thweir channels trying to get information. No replies not one and i've called but never get through to a human. Emails go unanswered same as some of the Auctions im trying to get ahold of and they wont reply. SomeBullcrap shenanigans goin on here buyer beware.
We apologize for the delayed response, Clownroyale, and we're sorry to hear about your experience. Auctioneers manage their own sales and communications, so we recommend reaching out to them directly regarding any issues. If you're having trouble getting a response, our support team may be able to help facilitate communication—please call us at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration.
I have bid on several different auctions and I have had a wonderful experience every time. Looking up auctions is simple and bidding was easy and pick up even easier. I love HiBid!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Cindy, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how important it is to have complete information, especially for sizing. Auctioneers are responsible for providing accurate descriptions, so we recommend reaching out to the seller directly for additional details. If you need help contacting the seller or navigating the site, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We value your input and will continue working to improve the information provided for all items listed.
