The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Easy to register Easy to place your bids can call and talk to them.will email you to see if you need anything
I have participated in a half dozen online auctions and the site worked smoothly for all of them. Three separate sellers and all were without problems bidding or settling. My only complaint is how each seller adds admin fees that are not reflected in the bid totals as the auction happens. A calculator function would be helpful.
My first experience bidding online using HiBid was so easy. The items up for bid were posted early enough to review and choose your desired choices. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Overall it was a very pleasant experience!
By saying confusing was that when the bidding ended on an item it said you might have won.The problem I have is without knowing if I won and what price I might have won it or lost.It kept me from bidding more on other items.so if I have a budget of a 100... and an item I want is at 70 and my maximum is 100 and the bid is closing I don't know if I got it for 70 or another bidder swooped in at the last second.Without showing the winning bid.I'm unable to bid on something else not knowing if I have a 100,30 or what left
I bid on two separate auctions and won coins on both I received my invoice for one auction and received my coins shortly after. Got charged 109 dollars for the coins on the other auction no invoice no coins no emails just look to be out some cash and I'm pissed. I will leave a 1 star review every day until I hear from someone.

Easy to register, easy to bid, easy to pay. I had no issues with anything.
Overall mediocre experience. Items refreshing every 30 seconds can be a bit unsettling when the item is closing at almost the same moment. It makes it difficult to complete a bid when the screen suddenly refreshes. Another issue we had was on the sellers end where an item was an electric kitchen appliance and it did not work at all when we got it home. Obviously we did not intend to purchase an item that was trash, that was disappointing. Another suggestion would be to have sizes of items listed or shown in the pictures. I purchased some wooden blocks for my granddaughter thinking they would be average (2") wooden blocks, since no measurements were given and there was nothing in the picture to compare them to, I was quite surprised to find that they are tiny - only 1" each which is far too small for a young child to play with.
We apologize for the delayed response, Joy, and appreciate your detailed feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when the auction refreshes during the final moments, but there is now an option to disable the auto-refresh feature. This should help you have a smoother experience while bidding. Regarding the electric appliance and the wooden blocks, we’re sorry to hear about the issues with both the functionality and sizing. Auctioneers are responsible for providing accurate descriptions and measurements, and we encourage you to reach out to them directly to address these concerns. If you need assistance contacting the seller or have any further questions, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
The only way it could've been better would have been a more seamless transition between looking at my bids, and being able to place another bid.
We researched the listings & knew what we wished to bid on. We were successful on a number of items.
I watched as the time ran out and I was the highest bidder. Then after the auction ended I received a message that I was outbid. Thank goodness I didn't bid on another item because I noticed later that I was sent an invoice for the item I won. The outbid message was an error?
The interface can be confusing. Once a sale is selected, the interface can switch to all sales.
We apologize for the delayed response, Ken, and appreciate your feedback. It sounds like there may have been some confusion with the interface. HiBid is designed to stay focused on the selected auction once you’ve chosen it. If the interface is switching unexpectedly, there may be a technical issue. We recommend contacting our support team at 844-775-4774 to investigate further. We appreciate your input and are committed to improving your experience.
I bought an antique bedroom set. There was undeclared damage on the set. When I got home with it. I noticed a back leg of the dresser was broken and someone had wired it back on. I am requesting a refund.
We apologize for the delayed response, Jim, and understand your frustration. Auctioneers are responsible for accurately describing and disclosing the condition of items, and we’re sorry to hear about the damage to your antique bedroom set. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer to request a refund or resolution, as they manage these transactions. If you haven’t received a response or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help facilitate communication. We appreciate your feedback and hope this issue is resolved quickly.
Lots of choices! Easy to narrow down your target. The auction houses really like help.
A 1 day window is not enough when I live 2 hrs away. If I had known this I would not have bid.
The site is user friendly, easy to navigate. Registering was quick easy and i was able to purchase a very nice lot of antique glass for a very reasonable price.
I've used this site many times. Always smooth bidding, and pick up method.
Good selection of products and very responsive. Would definitely use them again.
Its a very good process. It can be slow at time but it is good. I feel the fees is a little high for my liking. Most other auction site has a more lesser rate than Hibid most is at 14% Hibid is quite steep. At a going 19%^ is a little gauging. This may defer me if not many to bid less on something the consumers want. Thats all i could see that would bar someone from coming back and going to other auction with much lesser fee..
Kept me on edge excited, but wasn't sure how to do it, but I caught on,would be better if I could see the other person's bidding
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Steve, and understand how frustrating it can be when the bidding process isn't clear. The "You might have won" message appears while final results are still being processed, which can create uncertainty around your current standing. We recommend checking your HiBid account after the auction closes for more detailed information on the final bids. You can also contact the seller directly for the final results. If you need further assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your feedback and hope this helps improve your future bidding experiences!
