I'm new to this bidding online actually it's my first time ever bidding at a auction in person or online. I had a great time bidding on the items I liked. It was very exciting and intense when it got closer to closing out the items. I will definitely continue visiting auctions and bidding on items.
Again why I only gave 4 stars is because I have picked up the items I won. If things go well and I receive everything I won and if paying goes smooth and there isn't no hidden charges. I will change to 5 stars if Im able. I will definitely give HiBid high reviews on social media and word of mouth to anyone who is interested.

Auction was scheduled for 6am closing. After closing in am, aution opened up at 6pm and bidding started on same items. I don't think that was Hibids fault, more like shoddy auctioneers.
I have been bidding on Hibid for few years now I still like the concept and the excitement of bidding and winning the items but my days may be coming to an end. The reason is simple, "The Cost of Doing Business". As an online bidder in Eastern Ontario I require shipping most of the time. Driving for pickup is occasionally possible and even a nice outing. Unfortunately the increases in buyer premiums and the very high cost of delivery is just too expensive, so much so that I sometimes pay more for buyer's premiums and tax plus high cost delivery than I pay for purchases. I sometimes get charged $40 to $60 for small light weight items. Many auction houses now charge packing fees before shipping that can be flat rates of $20 or more. That's my rant and prices will only go up.

Access was simple although, I have to use Firefox in order to login. I get captcha errors when using Chrome for some reason. Bidding is simple and straight forward and terms and conditions are clearly laid out.
I especially like the past /current bids and watchlists views for tracking lots that I've won...sometimes I get carried away and forget what I've bid on or won :)

If you read each auctions details regarding the bidding, everything makes sense. I do wish that it would state floor bid instead of pulled on items. Otherwise, I believe it is very clear and enjoyable.

HiBid has a very good search engine, bringing up what I want to see. There is a wonderful selection of various auctions and I have been very pleased with the ending prices. It is also easy to contact the various auctioneers with questions or instructions on picking items up or shipping. I have had experience with lots of online auctions and I find I return more and more to HiBid because of the good selection of things I am interested in, good prices, and the ease of bidding then paying and having thing shipped. The auctioneers all seem to be trustworthy and I have experience no scamming or fraud. I am very please in discovering this site.
