I like hello fresh, I really do, but their gift cards suck. They are very hard to use and trying to find your balance is near impossible. Put simply, avoid the gift cards because they are more hassle than they are worth!

Crappy service

They do not let you know that when you cancel subscription you don't cancel order at the same time. Customer service is not very helpful and will refund any money for this crappy service. I will never recommend this company for anything.

I ordered my food selected my day "Sunday " waited all day nothing. Talked to customer service guranteed delivery the next day. Nothing arrived no email or text to let me know. I contacted customer service again " oh sorry the box was marked as damaged and sent back" thanks for letting me know I guess I'll wait forever to get my refund so I can go but groceries. I guess I'll eat crackers tonight. Most worthless company ever wow super bad first impressions obviously I canceled everything. I kinda counted on this food using my budget on this now I have no money to buy other food. Thanks a lot. I will tell everyone who will listen my experience.

Sent to wrong address
November 25, 2020

The police just showed up accusing my son of mail theft after the delivery truck sent the package to not only the wrong address but the wrong city. My so called the company that said they could do nothing. With no way to fix the problem they put the food in their freezer. The guy that ordered it from out of town showed up with police. Talk about crappy customer service. Do NOT buy from this company. They willingly gave out private information that could have led to an altercation. My son and DIL are new parents stressed out. She's a first responder nurse and he's an elementary teacher/coach. They are in a state of panic.

I was very satisfied in the beginning with Hello Fresh. Now, 6 months later it is the same old, same old. Fattening, butter, cream cheese, cheese, sour cream all in one plate. Also the spices are redundant. Cumin lace spices. Argh. The pasta recipes are mostly fat based ingredients. Where are the healthy, veggies and tomato based sauces? Also, the veggie meals are redundant. If I see one more chick pea I am going to puke. We haven't had any issues with delivery other than a couple of times we had a missing ingredient. The food is really good I must say but redundant, at least for the vegetarian options. Not to mention fattening.

Positive comments

I am puzzled as to the lack of positive comments with regards to HelloFresh food. I have been using them for just over a year and I couldn't been happier. The box always arrives on time and the recipes are delicious. Some of my work colleagues also use Hello Fresh, and they are happy with the service and the meals, so I really don't understand why there are no positive comments...

Ever played basketball with a chicken cutlet? You can now with this garbage. It bounces and is exactly like rubber. I've been to Mexico enough to know dog meat when I see and smell it. This company needs to go out of business. The meat is not right. None of it is good. The vegetables are moldy and stink. I couldn't store it in my fridge. Rotten potatoes, rotten everything. I'm disgusted. Waste of money no one has these days. Someone is going to get very sick on the fake meat. I hope they sue.

Our box label stated delivery by Friday at 9pm. It arrived Sunday morning. It says on the label leave at back door. It was left on the front step near a busy street with food liquids leaking all out of the box. When I called customer service offering to send pictures, they were rude and did not even apologize. I canceled the account requested a refund and am praying they return my money for the week.

My husband and I enjoyed Hello Fresh our first few meals. After this, my husband asked me to cancel our food delivery. I found it totally difficult to figure out how to do this. Another batch of food arrived, although I thought I had said to stop delivery, my bank account was charged, etc. I have requested at least 4-5 times for Hello Food to stop this charge on my bank account and delivery. Is this some SCAM? Anyone else have similar experiences? I will NEVER suggest Hello Fresh to anyone.

Hello Fresh?. More like Hell No!. Worst food delivery company. No wonder it ddidn't even make the top 5.
This was over priced food and all I got for it was about a week curled up in a fetal position, sick to my stomach and needing to throw up as well as other, even more disgusting things. This company has a repitation of over charging your credit card, charging for 3 people instead of 2... little "mistakes" lime that... not to be trusted, not one bit so check your credit/bank statements. Quick.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

We canceled only to have them deliver the following month. We had to pay again. Charged us two days before delivery. I called, immediately, when the charge was put on our account. I told them we already canceled and they said that the cancellation would go through this month but we are still getting our order and charged for it! That's $147 we did not have this month to spend. I would not recommend this place to anybody!

Not reliable...

Ordered and I was excited. I feed a family of 5-6 sometimes-7. So meal planning is a must. Ordered meal planned that arrival was set. 3 days later... Nothing from the company... Conatcted them. They no problem just send out a new order i will plan accordingly... No luck I had to start all over choose my meals again start a new order maybe wait another week... Fortunately my family relies on me and come thru. This company did not... Not a reliable company... Do not trust them for your family. So for so many... Im not happy.

I honestly enjoyed HelloFresh since it saved me a trip to the grocery store. Randomly we would receive the wrong meals all together or we would be missing items. Wasn't honestly that big of a deal. Well recently I started noticing random separate charges to my bank account from hello fresh on top of what my box should cost. It ranged from 9-24 dollars. I couldn't figure it out and the website is nearly impossible to navigate when it comes to customer complaints. I would not recommend.

If you're like me and this garbage company charged you without your consent and refuses to refund your money, all you have to do is call your bank and tell them "lack of services received". Meaning you either didn't get your order or the ordered you received is incorrect and that the company refuses to give you your money back. This piece of sh*t company thinks they're slick but I'm slicker. Got my money back. Spread the word

Worst service ever. Ended up joining to see the menu offering and then realized it was food I couldn't eat or wouldn't eat. Cancelled immediately. Once I saw the charge called customer service and was told it would be taken care of. I then receive a full box of food I never picked and no credit. Don't waste your time.

I explored the idea and found it would not work for me, only to9 find out it was $29.00 to cancel. The credit card I supplied to explore would not work for the cancellation. All of this was within 10 minutes. We have yet to see what happens, but $29 dollars just to explore seems like a real rip off.

HelloFresh was double billing me or 5 weeks and when I brought it to their attention they apologized and said they would fix my account. This took 5 phone calls to accomplish this. I told them I wanted to cancel my account and yet I still received unsolicited calls about reopening the file and each time I told them I was not interested. Out of the blue, they informed me they sent a shipment. I called promptly and told them my subscription was cancelled. They said they had already charge the account and would not refund the fraudulent charge. I asked Amir, the customer service agent, multiple times to transfer me to his supervisor so I could get this resolved and he refused. They are a deceptive company who makes fraudulant changes on consumers credit cards. Watch OUT!

Gimmick

Don't order! My wife ordered the trial it is not worth it. She took forever trying to find where to cancel it. She has canceled it twice and they still continue to send it. Today she is having to cancel her credit card to stop the charges.
You can purchase better quality for 1/3 of the price. DON'T ORDER!

Food is not fresh at all

I suspended my order for several weeks, they unsuspended it and then told me that they dd not have record that it had been suspended. I know I suspended these week because I was going out of town. This is a rip off go with Blue Apron
