Got my order today. 3 bags with a few potatoes, herbs, pasta and 4 oz chicken. I could have bought this in the grocery store. Wait I have. I don't want to pay someone to go shopping, deliver it and then take 45 minutes to prepare and cook. Didn't waste my time putting it in the fridge. It was put in the garbage immediately. Never ordering again. High sodium, have to cook myself, have no idea how this got 9.8. I have to order food now. Thanks alot
I didn't realize how incredible Hello fresh was until I tried other meal delivery services. Package arrived nicely with no damage and within two days of delivery. All food was separated into bags with labels - meat was packaged separately. I canceled so I could try other food places. I am glad I did because I realized the quality of food and time they take to package their items. Food was excellent in flavor - It did take longer than expected to cook but that's because it challenged me to do things I hadn't done before. I was not raised cooking homemade - but this is actually a positive because I learned new ways to cook. Great quality of food - just would like it to be a little less expensive.
I have been a customer for approximately a year, referred 2 friends and had 3 family meals delivered weekly. We are a vegetarian family of four and have ordered vegetarian meals the entire time. I forgot to select my meal plan this last week and to my surprise opened my box & the 3 meals were meat and 1 package was leaking blood- yes, gross! I called to see what they could do because we will not eat any of the meals. They said sorry, my fault because I did not select my meal and gave me a $12 credit for the bloody beef. Felt like customer service did not care & I cancelled my service and gave Home Chef the opportunity. Very disappointed!
Cant manage an address change, the change made 4 days in advance but still cannot deliver to the new address. The customer support we are a self managed company cant help you in any way is the response I got. No warnings in the app for an address change about what happens for with the current shipment or anything,
Crooks to say the least. I got an email and opened it and looked at their programs/meals. They sent me an order that I did not request. They will not take it back or reimbursement me for it. I do not even know what is in the box. Interested that there is no way to make a complaint on their site.

We have been receiving Hello Fresh on and off for around 3 years, 3 meals per week at a time. We particularly live their Italian, Korean, and Thai dishes. That is until FedEx fails to deliver on time or properly. We have had a box delivered all busted up and another box was 3 days late, it left HF on Thursday and got to us on Monday. In both cases, the food was temperature abused and spoiled. We tried to contact HF and the only options are to wait on hold for 45 minutes or longer or start an online chat which the wait can be 45 minutes and you can't let the screen lock up or change screen or you start over. Unacceptable.
I am currently on the phone with my CC company to block this merchant. I cancelled the subscription the day after I signed up, they still sent a box. I contacted their error department and they agreed that the subscription should have been cancelled and their was an error in their system. They told me to keep the box and they would refund the money; at this point they had charged my card twice, they did send a second box, and I went ahead and thought ok, they charged twice I would get two boxes and that would be the end of it. Well the boxes stopped for about 2 weeks and now I came home to another box on my front step for food that sounds down right disgusting. The first box they sent was surprisingly good but the second box was not. This third box looks horrid. So unless you plan on staying with this subscription for eternity I would advise to stay far, far away.
Support is so terrible. Pure English is not even an issue. But the way they answering. They are not trying to help but trying to make you fool. After my first order I was charged automatically for the second one. But I was not at the town, so I asked to cancel it (one week in advance). Support answer, that normally they are not doing it, but as AN ACT OF GOODWILL he will cancel my order but convert previously changed money to kind of bonus money. After that I was informed that as it is bonuses, I can only pay the order but not shipping (which sounds weird). Support did not try to help or offer solution, but arguing with me and being rude. This was the worsted experience I ever had.
Lacking consistency with quality of ingredients. Light portion sizes. Issue on many deliveries from broken ice packs to many packages of meat being broken.
Meals however can be very tasty, but lacking options, many repeats.

Our family has been enjoying HelloFresh for months now. The food was good and easy. But beware if you ever have to talk to someone. I thought I skipped a week and when I realized I didn't I called right away to stop the shipment due to finances. They tell you they cant stop it even though the box was not set to ship out for 4 more days, then when you ask for management they give you the run around, tell you they will have them call you and after 5 phone calls in 2 days still NO RETURN CALL! Horrible customer service... Get better HelloFresh, there are to many other delivery options out there...
Received rotten produce. Spoke to customer service and was offered a credit for the inconvenience. The catch? They want me to spend another $40 to be able to even use the $20 credit. There is no purchase available under $60 and they will not offer me a refund to my card for the $20. Essentially they refuse to provide an actual refund for rotten produce. Terrible policy to choose to lose a customer on subscription for such a small price to make reparations.
They make it hard for you to cancel then i refused the boxes at the door but still emailing me debit collection letters over the boxes i refused.
Avoid they are aggressive when you cancel and harass you to rejoin?
Email you at 5pm that you're not getting a box then blame the courier. Small portions and don't give you discount when you're promised for inconvenience appalling customer service not worth the hassle not very good value for money premium meals a joke for the extra money they ask for. The list goes on.
I received my first box this week, and it looked like there was not enough food, but after making the first two dishes, I was pleasantly surprised! I find the recipes are delicious, and the flavors are excellent. I will admit, I have to add extra seasoning only because I am a master on how to season food, but for the most part, I really like the food!
Live chat is the only way to chat with this lot - they are rude and robotic. Save yourself the expense and time by NEVER signing up. If you are already a customer - PROBLEMS will happen and they simply do NOT give a toss and you will lose out.
Hello Fresh has been great until the last month. Went to cook enchilladas tonight and found the Mexican spices and sour cream missing from the delivery. For the last two weeks we have only received from 420-460 gms of meat for each meal for 4 people and there have been missing spices twice. The basil, coriander and spinach has been wet and brownish when opened. We have had 3 chicken meals that I had to replace the chicken for as it smelt when opened. Lift your game please as I love having H. F. food delivered so I can cook without thinking. 0413 995 663
I had just the first box now and I like it, easy to cook, everything delivered to you - so you don't have to go shopping or think what to do for a dinner. I had all good experience, food fresh, everything ok.
However, I tried few recipes myself and it definitely can go cheaper if you buy all yourself. I also don't like the amount of waste, so I will not stay with that for long.
But very good for lazy (really, not much effort to have a really good meal) or very busy people
On the cooking side, HelloFresh is great, its very easy to follow the instructions and make tasty meals with fresh ingredients. The problems comes with their delivery service, I had an issue with it and tried contacting them multiple times to get it resolved only to be told my problem would be "escalated to logistics (then to management), well nothing ever changed and my deliveries were still delivered incorrectly. This is on top of contacting their delivery service as well to fix the problem. I don't see the point in continuing with the service with such dishonesty.
I tried to cancel an order with the caption:
Preparing to Ship. The customer service representative told me, "the order has already shipped and can not be canceled".
Hm. Not good for business. I'm done!
You have to checkout before you can select meals and then you see that there are only a few meal options to select from unless you pay more per portion. I immediately cancelled my order and was still charged for it, they then selected meals for me with ingredients i am allergic too then refused to cancel the box. They offered a credit amount and when i accepted they changed that to a lesser amount and refused to change any meals to remove the ingredients i am allergic to. They then said its on the customer to know how the company works and that you cant cancel your first box.
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
