They don't let you see true cost of the meals until you sign up and then you see that all the Meat Proteins are much more, something like 10 to 15 dollars more for each serving. I can buy an entire stake a the store for 15 dollars, why am I paying that for a chicken add on.
I was enticed by the 1/2 price first box deal, so I thought I'd give hellofresh a shot.
Even at half price it was a disappointing amount of groceries, I could buy the same at Aldi for $25 no problems, and it would take Jesus to get 6 meals out of its contents!
The customer service was equally poor, despite me cancelling the minute I opened my first box (10:00 monday night) they still insisted on charging me for next Monday's delivery?! These guys are hopeless, and I now have to go through the office of Fair Trading to contest the $70 for the delivery that I never wanted, and could not even use as I was away. If you really want to order groceries just use Coles or Woolies and order what you will actually use.
Looked at this company with a view to ordering. As one member of the family eats meat the other is vegetarian. I was surprised that my card details were requested at the very beginning, a bit unusual. However I went through and after looking at the veggie options decided not to bother. At no time did I place an order or confirm anything yet payment was taken from my account and I was advised the order was on it's way. What order? I cancelled the payment only to have it taken out yet again and today I received an order of four meals two of which due to allergies cannot be used. To stop further payments being taken I have had to cancel the bank details with Pay pal. This is disgraceful service from this company, be careful if considering an order.

For less $$ and a good meal for delivery (appetizer and dessert too!), call for a pizza, bread sticks, brownies and soda. $35 roughly plus a tip but at least YOU chose what YOU want and receive it!
I was expecting my first delivery today so I checked into the app to track it only to find it was labelled as a delivery issue and I had to contact them, first mistake they should have contacted me not just cancelled it.
Then they told me they could not deliver one as it was too late for them to send it out now and I would have to wait till next week for the next box, mistake 2 its not my fault you cancelled and didnt notify me sooner... And the reason they cancelled was "an unusual computer glitch, but it wont happen again". No concern or compensation for the issue they had created by me having to now go do shopping I wasnt planning for, no refund as it was a free coupon, just sorry but we cant help you... Just pathetic and it shows that theyre level of responsibility for their mistakes is zero. I just dont trust them now they seem very careless and I dont want a company with that level of disregard yo their customers handling my food.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I had nothing but problems with this company. They sent food to my old address several times after I gave them my new address. They gave me a credit for it and took it away.
They, then, sent me another box out of the blue and charged me for it. Don't waste your time and money.

Do not try this! A co-worker gives me this free promo card and said that I needed to try it. 1. When I put the code in there was a charge of $79.50 but it dropped down to $0.00 once I put all my info and credit card number in there (should have known better but trusted my co-worker) 2. The meal comes... and I was not impressed! 3. Next thing I know I get another box of food that was awful and got charged $79.50. I could have gotten the same thing at an Applebees for $10-12. When I called to complain the customer service rep was very rude and basically hung up on me. TOTAL SCAM! I hope they shut down!
First shipment has rotten produce, second box just never showed up. They refunded the money for the second box but really didn't care that the meals I was expecting to use all week just never showed up. Box was said to be "returned for inspection" to fedex. That's just a little weird, in my opinion. So, out of the two weeks I ordered, one box had rotten potatoes, and the second box just never showed up. Don't bother with this company.

The ground beef is equivalent to the ground beef that you purchase from meijer in a prepackaged tube. It says 85/15 but it's probably 60/40 disgusting in my opinion. Another meal I purchased came with sirloin steak. I understand that's a cheap cut of meat to begin with. It was so chewy almost not edible. I forgot to mention if you scan the bar code thing with your smart phone I learned that the ground beef has been frozen for almost a year.&
The recipes from my order were delicious. I was gifted a great discount from a relative who subscribed to HelloFresh, which is why I decided to try it. For the price I paid it was great! Very convenient, the ingredients were delivered fresh, the instructions were very easy to follow, truly thrilled from the experience. But when looking to maybe subscribe for myself the prices just aren't worth it for the quantity of food you get (there will not be leftovers, which is also unfortunate when we get busy). So yes, delicious, and I've kept the recipe cards for the future, but not worth the cost for me.
Great customer service, easy to navigate website, and the meals are delicious. It is a good amount of work to cook the meals, but it's so nice to have the recipe steps laid out for you and the food measured out already. It sometimes takes more than the 30-45 minutes it says to make because I take longer to prep and read all the steps. Always worth it when the food is ready though! I've had the subscription for about 3 1/2 months and loved it. The recipes are always different and they are always adding more. Would recommend, great way to learn how to cook if you are a beginner.
First of all the food was good. I bought the 3 meal for 2 plan, $9.99 a meal so $20. You get 10 oz of meat sorry that's a meal for one. Also cooking using 3 pots is a PIA, canceled it. Maybe 1 star for value. Cancelled and never heard squat from them.

This company delivers an ok product. But be advised they will overcharge you, send meals after you cancel your account and offer you no Customer Service. I had a coupon for a free box up to $60.00 and they charged me over $20.00 after it had been shipped. They offer no assistance in handling discrepancies. Be advised you will need to change your credit card after you cancel you account because they will continue to bill you.
Food was delivered on Tuesday and cooked on Sunday. Chicken was cooked before due date but must have been spoiled as I am off work with food poisoning today. My husband didn't eat the meal as he was out for the evening.
Hello fresh is nothing but a scam! Ever wonder why so many people are marking them? It's because they are terrible at what they do and need people we trust to help them out. I got a coupon in the mail FROM THEM for 17 free meals, free shipping, and a free tote. When I used the code it charged me a dollar for my first box (2 meals for 2 people) then stated my next box would be $40? Talked to CS and they were SO UNHELPFUL! Talked in circles the whole time and then told me my FREE coupon was for discounted boxes not free boxes. I wish I could give them negative stars because that's absolutely what they deserve I highly do not recommend giving this company a penny of your money! Oh and they didn't offer me anything just told me that they were right the whole time.
I'm not sure what time this, my first box, was left on my porch, but when I received the delivery notification, the time stamp for the delivery was in the future. What?! So, having no way to know how long that box was outside, I can only assume it was HOURS since I got home around 9pm and found everything in the box was barely cool, and the "ice bags" were completely thawed. No way am I eating anything in that box. I called Hello Fresh to get a refund, and after an initial refusal to give me my money back, a refund was approved after I waited on hold for a few minutes. I had better not see any more charges on my credit card either, like I saw some people have complained about.
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
