I have used Hello Fresh for over a year and recently had someone steal my credit card so I called my bank and had it canceled. I had 2 meals coming from Hello Fresh and they said that we wouldn't receive it or be charged due to our credit card not working. They sent the meals anyway and charged us $87.56 for TWO meals for two servings. I called customer service and they told me that they can update their policy at any time that they see fit. I ended up paying the money for the meals for about $44 a meal and honestly, it wasn't worth it, but didn't want debt collectors coming after me. Please don't let them rip you off like they did me. It is so expensive and they make it at first seem like you are saving money but in reality they put a lot of service charges on stuff.
Never placed a order then noticed that my card had been charged. I never got any communication that anything had been ordered. Have no idea what is coming. I called to get my Money back I was told the order had already shipped and there was nothing they could do. I am a single Mother that chose not to use Hello Fresh because my son would not eat the food. To my surprise I found a charge on my credit card. I now have 4 meals being sent to me I never ordered and lost money I could use to feed my Son and Hello Fresh can't do anything about it. I WILL NEVER USE HELLO FRESH THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND ARE KEEPING FOOD OUT OF MY SONS STOMACH BECAUSE THEY WONT REFUND THE BOX I NEVER ORDERED.
If you're interested in trying a service like HELLO FRESH, let me just warn you! I got as far as creating the account, but I didn't finish selecting the meals, and the next thing I knew I was being charged without even submitting anything. DON'T create an account because you too will be robbed.
I cancelled my policy after I found a better company, but they still charged me for the first order. I inquired about a refund, and they did nothing.
They stole my money. I received a piece of mail that said, scan the QR code for 18 free meals. I read the entire piece of paper and nowhere on their did it say that it was gonna take me and set my card up to auto payments. I scanned the QR code. It asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 meals. I selected 2. Then I build my cart with the meals I selected. It then asked for my card so I put it in thinking the discount code would be applied after. It was applied but only gave me a 50% discount so I canceled out of the app. Then 3 hours later my card was charged because the system through the code they send me had me setup to get auto meals weekly and I was charged for meals I can't eat because I have Ménière's disease. They didn't even give me the meals I had in my cart when I cancelled and the company wouldn't give me a refund even after I called and was told they haven't even started my order yet. What a scam!
Support is so terrible. Pure English is not even an issue. But the way they answering. They are not trying to help but trying to make you fool. After my first order I was charged automatically for the second one. But I was not at the town, so I asked to cancel it (one week in advance). Support answer, that normally they are not doing it, but as AN ACT OF GOODWILL he will cancel my order but convert previously changed money to kind of bonus money. After that I was informed that as it is bonuses, I can only pay the order but not shipping (which sounds weird). Support did not try to help or offer solution, but arguing with me and being rude. This was the worsted experience I ever had.
I got an email soliciting new customers, saying I would get 16 free meals if I enrolled as a customer. What is said in that email is misleading. Nothing in the sign up process explains how the 16 free meals would be applied. It turns out that this discount is applied over the first 16 orders, forcing a customer to spend $$ making 16 purchases in order to realize the promotion of 16 free meals. The failure to explain how the promotion would be applied is a fraudulent misrepresentation, designed to fool people into signing up.
I kept getting emails with the offer to receive 20 free meals. After opening, I had to register and choose the food/menu. I did not have time, decided to do it later. In a few days, I get an email that I am going to get a parcel in a few days. Got the package and there was food that I'd never eat. And 3 days later I was charged for that meal. What? Where are 20 Free meals? The way they managed a business is Fraud! They are fooling customers. Be very careful and stay aways from this disrespectful company!
Worst service ever. Ended up joining to see the menu offering and then realized it was food I couldn't eat or wouldn't eat. Cancelled immediately. Once I saw the charge called customer service and was told it would be taken care of. I then receive a full box of food I never picked and no credit. Don't waste your time.

Initially I wanted to see their menu options which I couldn't see to do without creating an account which required a credit card. I didn't even get to their menu before giving up but apparently their trap had already been set. So I woke up the next morning having been charged for an order that I didn't place. I was only on their site long enough to get frustrated (maybe 5 min). I used the chat function to request a refund and express frustration which timed out after 30 seconds. I told them I had no intention on ordering from them but they never mentioned I would need to cancel the reoccurring orders. They did refund me for the first order which was the discounted promotion at that time. Another surprising charge a week later. I called in to find out that this charge was too later to cancel although it was the same amount of time I called to cancel the first charge and that this order was already processing. They could change the menu items but not cancel which I don't believe. Then they didn't care that the previous rep didn't tell me I needed to cancel my account to avoid further charges although I told him I had no intention on ordering anything and only wanted to look at the menu. Asked for a manager to call back which was a supervisor who was at the beach or outside somewhere. I could hear the wind in on her side of the line and asked if she was at the beach and she acted like she didn't know where the wind noise was coming from. I told her I have never received terms and conditions or order invoices or any communication from their company which I'm sure they avoid doing to inform customers that they are trapped. According to their terms if you don't select what you want they will send you randomly meals which you don't pick. Charge will be disputed with my CC company!
DO NOT USE THEY TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT AUTHORISATION. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THEY ARE CROOKS
Be cool? No way. The ordering system does not capture their failure. Customer service say you get a credit but it's not recorded. You get charged for boxes that don't arrive. Their GPS system is not current. There is always something wrong with the ingredients including entire missing meals. I give this mob a zero rating.
We have ordered 7 boxes from them and only 3 of those boxes ever made it to our house. If we call, they will say stuff like "ooo it's in the mail room" (umm we live in a house, we don't have a mail room). They also return it to a warehouse quite often and then tell us the box spoiled so therefore it will not be delivered. If you chat them, it's just a BOT if you call them, it's a person who barely speaks English who just apologizes and says we can give you a credit for next week.
Took my money, despite me cancelling as they had NO options I could eat (Vegan)
Spent an hour disputing the charge and cancellation, only to be told you have to cancel 5 days before the payment, when my sign up was 1 day before and I cancelled within minutes of placing the order as there was literally nothing I could eat.
Then told Id have to request a refund via my bank

They charge w/out permission, find any reason to have one re-activate, and once charges appear on your statement it's nearly impossible to remove/return the charges...despite not having received anything nor ordering anything. Thank goodness I've used PayPal to pay and they are resolving my charges.
They make it hard for you to cancel then i refused the boxes at the door but still emailing me debit collection letters over the boxes i refused.
Avoid they are aggressive when you cancel and harass you to rejoin?
First time user and first box experience. Late order, completely wrong meals eventually delivered, the box soggy, wet and falling apart, lied to by their customer service that I could cancel and just needed to wait for the box to arrive. Then after I took off work because the box was delivered late, I was told it was "too late" to cancel now. Omg what liars. "PLEASE GIVE US ONE CHANCE TO DELIVER ON TIME OR WE'LL REFUND YOU" Sick business do not recommend under any circumstances. Overall horrible experience with not a single positive thing to say. Took my money and they closed my account when I asked for the refund they promised. Horrible. Run away
Also, hellofresh don't respond with your bogus "we want to make it right" You should have made it right when I was calling you. Don't worry this won't be my last review.

I'd like to draw your attention to the customer service and satisfaction. We received a second box (which was not ordered, so for two days now, have been talking to the bottom of the chain. When you ask for a supervisor the canned response is that it will 24 hrs for a call back. That never happened. Tried again today and same thing. I started digging into the company: fact: The company is being sued for unfit beef products, deceptive wording in advertising and billing. LOOK IT UP
I had problems with pausing deliveries. The app and on the site was not reflecting my selection. I attempted 7 days prior to delivery. But they still charged my account and will not refund. Lost a customer. Because they see in their system, does not mean I was not trying to pause the deliveries. Customer Service they do not have a option in their system to refund. Disappointing.

Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
