I requested help with a big job putting together a 14 foot trampoline. It took 4.5 hours to complete and Derrick put it together perfectly. He made sure everything was done correctly. I would use him again, a very nice man!

SCAM

This is the worst company ever they take your money up front, talk you into a service contract then their people don't show up! They have screwed me over twice now no shows too clean my house. I have called customer service twenty times today of course it's a answering service with no response! This company is not reputable and if their service people don't show up oh well they have your money! I know have too report them and change my banking account info so they don't try too steal more money for no services rendered! This company needs too be shut down!

Excellent!

I bought some furniture online and opted to pay extra for assembly. Handy was their appointed partner. Minutes after I placed my order, Handy sent me an email with details of the assembly date. The flexibility and ease to change my appointment was brilliant. My pro handyman did a great job and cleaned up after. All in all, the experience was seamless and I'm very happy and impressed. I've tried other 'online handyman' services, but Handy will be my number one choice.

I paid over $300 to have a bed put together. It was damaged and Handy offered me a $100 credit on my next service... are you kidding me. There will be NO next service with Handy anymore. They rip off people

Great Experience

Handy sent Omer to put together a purchase from CB2. He was very professional and polite. He had no problem putting together my credenza. He made sure that the doors were level and matched. I would definitely ask for Omer again!

As the title says, I will never assemble another piece of furniture myself again. I simply left the box in the room it was to be assembled and the handy man (Ed) took care of the rest. For the price, it is worth every cent for a person like me to not have to worry about going through instructions and then spend the next 2 hours assembling it only to find out i installed a door improperly. Again, will definitely use the service again

After booking a furniture assembly appointment way in advance, I received multiple confirmations and was also reminded of the cancellation policy. If I would cancel within 2 hours of my appointment I would not receive a refund, however it is fine for Handy to do so. After I had taken apart my temporary bed frame, moved it out of the way with my mattress and stacked the boxes containing the bed to be assembled in my room, I received a text an hour and a half prior to my appointment that the pro would not make it. Instead of getting someone there later or at least the next day I was given an appointment 4 days later. That is not good customer service. If you can't do it yourself, find a reliable local handyman and don't waste time with this company.

In a six month period, Handy have cancelled once letting me know 12 hours before the booking and then today, cancelled a second booking with no notification.

They sent a confirmation the day before, so I was waiting for the cleaner, only to find they had removed the booking from their system. The "mobile number" they supplied for the cleaner was actually just a voice recording.

There is absolutely no way to contact them when you have problems, which you will inevitably have.

They are more trouble than they are worth, avoid!

I requested an electrician through Home Advisor who then went through Handy to send someone to my house. The man did an absolutely horrible job and left me with wiring that is not to code and a fire hazard. While trying to talk to Home Advisor and Handy about the issue, they had terrible customer service and would often take multiple emails to get them to respond to me and calls don't help because their customer service team is "email based". It has now been over a month since the original man did the work (who I understand is still allowed to take jobs from Handy, just not mine).

I would do zero stars if I could because this middle man is a waste of time and money.

They were supposed to come back to repair the TV installation (Mount is falling out of the wall). It took 3 appointments to get it up the first time. (Crooked installation with about 12 extra holes in the wall) then I tried to get them to come repair it. After 3tries, they cancelled and said they would refund my fee. I went to Walmart and the manager set up a new appointment, but that one was rescheduled for today, but no one showed. Not happy. I am worried the tv will fall and break plus the equipment on the desk under it could be damaged.
User's recommendation: Find a local handy man and avoid Handy!

Fraud/ scam
August 24, 2019

Pre paid for 6 hours deep cleaning. The newly installed floor was mopped and a door was wiped off, rest was untouched. The front door was left unlocked. My calls for someone to come actually do the job were ignored and I did not get a full refund.

Third Time

I've used Handy twice before with very good results and yesterday was no different. My pro was on time, professional, skilled, & thorough. He finished the job quickly and neatly and was willing to stay and help if I wanted anything changed. I'd highly recommend Handy, and Eduardo!

No one showed up

I have now made 2 appointments with Handy to install my Nest doorbell and no one showed up either time. I have a third appointment, I sure hope they show. Handy does not give your money back, only credit for another booking. Credit for another booking doesn't help when no one shows up.

I would give them zero stars. They cancelled 2 hours before each time they rescheduled. I had 4 appointments rescheduled before I finally cancelled them and had a handy man come put my table and chairs together. They are the worst. I will never recommend them or use them. Their customer service does nothing for customers except say I understand and sorry. They also take 4-6 weeks to issue a refund. All unacceptable in my book.

Handy sucks

I really need help with assembling furniture and mounting my TV on the wall. I have actually never used Handy because when they were scheduled with me last year to assemble furniture they never showed up and I ended up doing the job myself with a friend. Right now Handy has been booked through Wayfair for furniture assembly and Costco for TV install. They have already cancelled once, saying the "pro" was unavailable. They are scheduled for tomorrow for the furniture assembly but I see no pro has been identified so I expect them to cancel again. The charges for these "services" are high in my view (though I expect that the "pro" gets a third or less than what I've been charged). I don't know why Wayfair and Costco are using Handy. The failure of follow-through reflects poorly on those major retailers. I think in the future I will look for someone through Nextdoor Neighborhood or buy from local stores which provide delivery, assembly and installation.

The worker showed up with a short ladder. Next day with proper ladder and helper. They did a good job installing chandelier. The next day a charge for over $1300 appeared on bill. I had already paid the installation cost the week before. Trying to resolve problem but nobody answers their phone #*******730.
For Handy. Not a good sign.

Handy is Terrible
December 8, 2019

Over the past year Handy has cancelled 1-2 hours before the cleaner was to show. This has happened more than 20 times in the past 12 months. Completely unacceptable, as we are often left scrambling to find another service provider. The last minute cancellations are such an inconvenience and the rescheduled booking is 99% of the time cancelled last minute again. We are so frustrated with Handy we will be cancelling our monthly service with them immediately. Do better Handy.

Not even one star.

They trick you thinking that you can book a cleaning for 40$. They come in and that's done. Then you realize you've signed up to a 3 months subscription that you can only cancel by paying 100$.

The second cleaning, the lady arrived way too early and I was not home. So we agreed that she should come the next day. She said that works better for her. They charged me 170$ (which is a rip off, the usual price is 60-80$ for a 1 bedroom) and the lady cancelled the next day. Customer service said that since I rescheduled last minute I don't get refunded.

I had to pay 100$ to cancel. So in total, I paid 270$ and only got my 1 bedroom apartment cleaned up once.
