Margarita did such a wonderful cleaning. Not a spot left untouched. The rooms are shiny clean and smell fresh. She was able to remove a long-standing stain in our bathtub and got rid of the ring around my daughter's computer chair! I would definitely request her the next time. Fast and efficient!
I accepted an offer from Handy to try their cleaning service. The offer was specific and explicit that it entailed "no future commitment." Despite that Handy charged my credit card for services never performed.
Stay away.
Handy was suggested to me after a recent ceiling fan purchase as a means to have the fan installed. Booking was relatively straight forward but when it came to being matched with a pro, it seemed Handy app works like Uber without the drivers... completely worthless. I contacted a service rep which can only be done by email; first they provided me with a copy paste response about how to book a pro that I had previously used. I explained that I had not been matched, via their platform to which they replied that sometimes a pro will accept a job 24 hrs before the scheduled work date. Again what is the point of booking anything? I asked if the app was in beta, cause seriously who would launch in a market without sufficient pros pre-enrolled.
Vanessa came in and cleaned my place with very little instruction from me. She arrived promptly, did an exceptional job, and left without any concerns or drama. Items were instinctively put away in the correct places without any prompting. Excellent work!
My handy worker was awesome Byron showed up early, brought his own tools & adhered to all covid19 guidelines. He was extremely professional and worked super hard to assemble our bed set perfectly. I'll definitely request handy service again. Kudos Byron!
Youngman arrived early after calling first, he proceeded to start assembling a large heavy bookcase, he did an incredible job while observing pandemic rules. He finished in a timely manner and the bookcase is sturdy no imperfections, absolutely a great job
We paid to have a solid wood pergola installed. They only sent one person who stated there was no way he could do it. We called and Joleen said they would send to people that afternoon. I found put she lied when only one person showed again. I had to hire day workers to get the job done and now I am having issues getting a refund. May need to take legal action
Bought a garage opener at Lowe's and paid $129.00 installation. I got 2 emails that Jonathan T will be there on 12/13 between 7:00 and 8:30. He never showed, I call handy at 9 & 10 AM and both times they said he was 20 miles out. I called all day and nothing but excuses. I am waiting for my refund for the install. BEWARE buying anything from Lowe's that Handy has to install. Lowe's should look at dropping this vendor.
I had cleaning booked through Handy. It was good at first but I have been trying for four weeks to get her to come back. She makes an appointment but doesn't show up. Actually, her grandmother comes with her and does most of the work.
On the day that we needed them most, our cleaner cancelled at the very last minute and they were unable to replace her. They offered a $10 credit. I've hated this company since they refused to let me cancel without a $150 cancellation fee. HORRIBLE!
I've used Handy.com for cleaning and for professional services for over 6 years. Their cleaners are professional and where there's a problem Handy will sort it out. While they're not the cheapest supplier for cleaning, I live alone and it's important I can trust my supplier and Handy can be trusted. Same is true for their handyman services and I've seriously saved money on using them rather than other services such as Rated - far more accountability and transparency as Handy is the 'employer
I gave it one star bc they showed up. If your looking for a company to charge you a lot of money then disappear this is your company. They don't have a phone number for you to call and don't respond to your " problems ". My dresser was put together incorrectly and drawers are falling in. It's been 5 days and I can't get " Handy " to even contact me or respond to my emails.
I needed some help installing new light fixtures. It's been very hard to book a handy man, so I checked in with Handy.com. At Handy, I was able to book a technician quickly. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled bringing all necessary tools. He worked quickly and efficiently, and he did an excellent installation. He even disconnected the old fixtures and put the bulbs into the new fixtures. I will definitely check in with Handy.com for future projects.
Handy provided help to cut and trim the bushes in the front yard and general clean up. Carlton wardrobes before the time and did a great job. He went beyond to insure that the work he did was exceptional. Handy has never let me down with excellent professionals. Thank you.
Handy is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Hired them through wayfair to build our gazebo. First day, someone called off an hour before our booking, there is no customer service to help you- only a call center in India to tell you there's nothing they can do, and rescheduled our appointment. Then they were unable to find pros to take the reschedule- so we were rescheduled AGAIN. 3rd time, there was another issue. There is no way to get a real person on the phone to help you- only the call center in india- where they have absolutely no idea what's going on or how to do anything other than "apologize for the inconvenience". Asked for a refund- was given the run around several times- finally got someone to issue my refund only to be told it takes 4-5 weeks to process... what? What an absolute nightmare
So far it's been ok. I like that they are prompt or at least let u know if they are running late. The two I had were very nice. Did what I asked them to and usually end up getting done early. What I don't like is when they do leave early or some of the extras u pay extra for doesn't get done it's a pain trying to get partial payment back and it doesn't go to original payment method. It stays in the handy account. It's fine since I do use the service and like it so far. But it doesn't sit well. It came from my account because it's mine to give. It should be returned the same way. I like options. Don't take away options. But all in all I will continue my subscription. I just have to find the right fit
I had one unpleasant experience, but I do know happy customers of Handy, and I hope they improve, especially the ease with which users can submit complaints and cancel bookings (especially erroneously scheduled ones).
(My experience: Handy Pro showed up without me ever knowing - without me ever booking. Cause? Apparently I was enrolled in a bi-weekly plan, unbeknownst to me, even though I had used them only once 6 weeks ago.)
Do Not ever use this Handy Cleaning Service Co. Floors were Not Swept, Mopped and definitely not vacuumed! Floors had dirt still on them. A moron would know this isn't cleaning. When complained to cleaning crew, she actually said rate it as you wish. Didn't even care. Even After sending her pictures!
We couldn't be happier with our recent service with Handy! Michael did a great job assembling our shoe cabinet bench with coat rack! This would been a difficult assembly for someone inexperienced so it was well worth the money. Loved how it turned out!
Absolutely the worst service I have ever tried to use! I took off an unpaid day from work and scheduled furniture assembly 10 days before the appointment, Got an email 1 hr. Before appointment that the handyman's "Uncle Died". Cancelled right away! Be careful! They are deceptive. You need to cancel 48 hours before appointment not 24 in order to receive refund. I could kick myself for not reading the reviews.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
