I've used Handy for about a 1 1/2 yrs now. Every transaction with them has been smooth (even when I had a reimbursement). The professionals that come all take great pride in their work and do a wonderful job. It's also a great value compared to other companies near me.
Excellent professional service at a reasonable price. I have never used handy.com before, but I will definitely use them again. The professionals they sent to assemble my grill were efficient, polite, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend
I ordered a shelf unit from Walmart that Handy was supposed to put together. Four different appointments and then 4 cancellations on the night before they were supposed to come. Stay away if you're looking for a reliable company!
I have been forced to call and wait on hold to make 5 appointments because of no shows by personnel after confirming appt.
One appointment was kept by service, sent a single man to assemble LARGE 7 ft x 8 ft complex outdoor patio swing with awning. He did it wrong, using incorrect screws in incorrect places and left some screws and brackets out altogether which he threw back in the box and damaged the $500 item. Handy was supposed to send someone to correct the damage and poor assembly, 2 more no shows.
Had to call Walmart.com for help getting item repaired through another service. WASTE of time, money and strain on my schedule waiting for appointments they have no intention of keeping. Not to mention that my brand new item is now being repaired because of poor assembly by their " trained professionals".
A Handy referral was hired to build a desk in my law office. Other than showing up on time, it was a disaster. Fifteen minutes after he arrived, he left without informing us leaving my conference room in shambles with parts and torn boxes all over the floor. Though Handy refunded my money they made no attempt to provide a substitute worker. Instead, only after I asked, was I told I can place another work request. And to add insult I was given a ten dollar credit. I had scheduled appointments that had to be cancelled. I tried calling but there is no posted phone number. This company has the worst customer service. If I could give it a zero rating I would.
Reviews on their app/site are fake! Terrible experience! The handyman, Carlos A., responded in the app saying he had "finished the job and was all done"... the guy never even showed up! Can't even call anyone to help! RUN! Don't fall for it like we did!
This has been the worst experience in my 52 years! They lie and say your pro cleaner cancelled at the last minute like 20 minutes before the scheduled time and 3 days before Easter. They never had one assigned to begin with! They don't have enough workers(I can only guess why) I have emailed 2 different people telling me they were managers(really)? I know better than to hire a company without doing my homework so this is somewhat my fault, but I'm pleading with anyone who thinks it's a good deal it's not! They are scammers ready to take your money
Bought Handy's assembly service with a Crate & Barrel table. They kept rescheduling the visit long after the table had been delivered. The last straw was when they cancelled 5 minutes before scheduled time (and I came home from work early just to meet them). I ended up assembling myself. Now have to figure out how to get my money back.
I purchased a swing set that was to be put up in one day by the so called "professionals". 4 people showed up for the job. Shortly after, 3 of them left without even attempting the job. Fast forward 5 hours, and the gentleman has 1 ladder put together. He then brings in a friend, not associated with Handy to work for an extra 2 hours.At the end of the day, parts of this $2000 dollar swing set is scattered across my yard. It is now two days later and everything is still scattered through my lawn with no success of getting any reliable customer service or answers. Just do it yourself or find a friend. I want everyone to know how bad of a choice it was to allow this company and their "professionals" into the process of purchasing this swing set.
I love that buyers can now add assembly to their furniture purchases via Handy. Costs a little more but I know the job is getting done right and, when you have a great "handy man", it makes the experience even better! Ned came to put together my first project and was awesome. Prompt, personable, polite, clean... ever since I have only requested Ned. He knows his stuff and I would recommend him to everyone!

Angus arrived early and seemed to work quickly. It took only 2 hours to put together what looks like a complex dresser. The construction seems solid (so no mistakes). He left the space clean and tidy.
I had the worst experience with Handy. Their installer had zero respect for me, my home or my property. The installer was NOT a professional in any sense of the word. I am left with a sloppy incomplete installation, damaged window frame, and a stained carpet. Handy has been giving me the email run around for 6 days now. Handy has no integrity in regard to their customers or their customer service. Their claim of "vetted professionals" and "happiness guarantee" is a joke and a scam! Save yourself the headache and don't use Handy.

As a detailed cleaner I constantly get 5 star ratings, but can my ratings stay at 80? No way, 85 dropped to 73 in a matter of hours after been rated 5 on my last job. Stop cheating the people who work so hard.
It's been three months now with dozens upon dozens of emails, most left unanswered without reply. I have been wrangling with these people for all that time and still no way to call them. You might think that any responsible company would have management look into the issue and resolve it immediately. It could all be resolved with a simple phone call. That phone call remains unmade and I remain unpaid.
The company is totally apathetic. And now they're doing a growth spurt where they're looking for all kinds of new staff to oversee one department after another in management positions. They can't put One foot in front of another so how they're doing this is beyond me. Nobody cares about anybody else at Handy. They treat their vendors and employees like dirt. We need to see this company go away.
Waste of time! They rescheduled twice an hour before the appointment. Yet if clients cancels their appointments per their cancellation policy you lose at least 15% of your deposit or all your money. Do not book with them.
Id avoid hiring this particular individual. I am still dealing with multiple 'misplaced' items. And
On top of things being "moved around" to the point that they dont seem to be in the house at all anymore, to add insult to injury, the actual cleaning of the house was mediocre at best. The other individuals i have used from this app were perfectly wonderful and deserve praise however. My advice would be to make sure you can stay home during her ENTIRE cleaning should you get paired with and choose to keep Marrissa Q in Colorado as your cleaning professional
We've had service with Handy for 6 weeks. Someone has shown up once! Yes, just once and that person was 2 hours late and left early.
Handy keeps charging us when no services were rendered and won't refund our money.

Been using them for 3 years. The last few months went downhill fast. They raised the prices 33 percent without saying anything just taking it out. And they had $20 in credits they promised me and never used. Stay away from these thieves
Margarita did such a wonderful cleaning. Not a spot left untouched. The rooms are shiny clean and smell fresh. She was able to remove a long-standing stain in our bathtub and got rid of the ring around my daughter's computer chair! I would definitely request her the next time. Fast and efficient!
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
