Towards the beginning of 2023, my mother requested a house cleaning through Handy. They charged her for it and no "pros" showed up twice in a row. The final time, she cancelled it, as Handy rescheduled for her. Because of this, Handy said they could not give a refund, but instead, store credit. So, she decided maybe this was due to her location, so she used the credit to order me a cleaning. They first cancelled with an hour notice, then I cancelled due to my "pro" not having any reviews and chatting with me like a scammer would. Then, I rescheduled using the credits, and my "pro" was 30 minutes late, so while I was at work, I messaged him. He responded saying he was on his way and begged me not to mark him as "late". I am a therapist and I was in a session with my client and he proceeded to call me over and over again. Despite all of this, I gave him this grace, and upon my arrival home an hour and a half after he was supposed to be there, he still had not shown up. I got home at 3:30pm, he marked himself as "arrived" at 2:42pm (he was supposed to be here at 2pm). So, I cancelled and they gave me credit. It was nearly impossible to find the number to talk to them, but once I did, I demanded a refund. This organization is SCAMMING PEOPLE. The app also only shows 5 star reviews, and does not allow you to see any other reviews. A complete scam.

Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
