It was so easy to schedule a service request at a convenient time for me, and Ricardo assembled the grill expertly!
The worker was good and well qualified. The company charges way too much. The job took 20 minutes and they charged for 2 hours at over $90 an hour.
I HAD A WONDERFUL TECH NAME PHILLIP! VERY FRIENDLY! MY LITTLE CHIHUAHUA ADORED HIM! HE WAS KIND-HEARTED, MADE SURE MY TV WORKED! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TECH TO EVERYONE!

One of their "highly rated" cleaners ruined one of my freshly painted walls.
I made a complaint and they asked for a quote for repairs, and I provided one promptly.
It took me 25 emails for them to accept the to pay for the corresponding VAT (Value Added Tax which is payable for any goods or services in the UK), they continued to repeat like parrots that they do not cover for "taxes" - so should I also cover the VAT for the paint, as no one would sell me paint without VAT.
Now they keep delaying to pay for the cost of repairing my damage, claiming it is under consideration (what consideration, I wonder, when all the damages and cost of repairing such damages have been provided 2 weeks ago)
When asked for an address for service of UK proceeding (which seems to be the only way to recover my damage) they gave me an US address as if I had to start an international claim for such a trivial damage.
Appaling service and shocking lack of resposibility - avoid like the plague!

Do NOT use Handy, do NOT signup as a provider and do NOT sign a contract. They are corrupt and their practices are unethical. Their treatment of subcontractors and customers is reprehensible.

Two professionals arrived on time and completed the install in about an hour. They were professional, tidy and friendly.
Horrible service. Handy puts bookings on pros schedule without their knowledge, so when the time comes around, they have to miss it because they didn't know they had a booking. So, the pros are forced to pay a penalty for missing a booking. Handy customer service is complete trash. Every time this happens, they send a cookie cutter response AND BLOCK THE PRO FROM SCHEDULING WITH YOU! They totally block you from the pro, even though it wasn't their fault for the confusion. It was Handy's fault due to poor communication and no alerts for the pros to see. Super irritating. I tried to keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, but today, after it happening for the 5th or 6th time, I've had it. Get your business together, Handy. You suck.
If anyone is interested, there's a similar service called Queen of Maids and not only are their pricing and scheduling better, their customer service is top notch.
If they're available in your area, I highly suggest them, and Handy can eat my shorts.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I purchased a Nest thermostat through the Google store and added an install by Handy.com. The install was supposed to take place on Dec 9,2022, between 12-2pm. No one showed, I received no contact. I contacted them on Dec 12 and received a new appt for Dec 14 between 12-2. An hour before the appt, I received a reschedule notice for Dec 16 between 12-2. A day later I receive a reschedule notice for Dec 16 between 2-4. The day of the appt I receive a reschedule notice for Dec 18 between 12-2. An hour before the appt I receive a cancelation notice that states that I have successfully canceled my appt. No request was ever submitted by me. I contact them by phone and of course get someone obviously in a foreign country who provide no help other than to tell me the appt was canceled. When I demanded answers they hung up. I called back, went through the same BS only to then get transferred to someone else. Within 10 seconds of speaking to that person they hung up. Subsequent call attempts have just led to sitting in a hold queue. Keep in mind my previous 2 calls were answered within 20 seconds so they have obviously placed some note on my number. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this company. I will get a refund from Google and hire an actual professional for the job and do nothing but rip this company.
Handy delivered a toilet from Lowes in Belmont and started the installation. Installer could not get the toilet to flat. Said he had to go back to Lowes in Belmont to get a new part but first would go to anither job then return to complete my job. He was aware of my schedule and the way he was doing it by going to another job first he had to reschedule my job. Meantime that toilet is now unusable. The job was rescheduled for Nov1 between 830 and I believe 1030. No one had shown up by 1pm.at about 12pm I Chatted with customer service Sarah who tried to help. She said she had sent two messages
To tech tech to call me asap. By 1pm had not did anything so I again chatted with a customer service that I was going to let Lowes in Belmont handle this. I went to Lowes and had them cancel the contract and they returned what I had paid to my credit card. Lowes in Belmont is great in pleasing their customers but my dealing with Handy was the worst experience with contractors in my 83 years and have dealt with many types of contractors from room addition, electrical, painting, roofing, smaller jobs also.
Terry noticed damage and helped us get the item replaced. He also repackaged he damaged item so it's all ready to be returned
Pros
So far my first three bookings went well, although handy kept more then 50% of what they charge, ive made good money doing extra tasks my clients requested. So far I've made 166$ through the handy app for 3 jobs I got paid 280$ In total for extra handy work in those same 3 jobs.
I was disappointed because on my first booking I scheduled 2 in 1 day and things took longer then expected so I wasn't able to do the 2nd job and got charged a $50 fee but after sending handy 2 emails I've got the 50$ Fee removed as a courtesy warning.
Cons
On my first booking they charged my client 200$ and I only got 34$ out of it. They take most of the money they charge people
They have no number you can call because it's reasonable, handy doesn't want to deal with workers with lack of experience spamming their lines because they can't complete the job or clients complaining about unprofessional amateurs
Also there's a misunderstanding when clients find out how much royalty handy keeps
Over all if you have background knowledge on the services you claim to fulfill you shouldn't have a problem completing the job with out the help of support
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
