Denitria came to clean and she was very thorough despite all of the construction going on in the house! Her patience was great and very much appreciated!
I needed barstools assembled and the technician Daniel arrived early, was professional, and completed the job well within the allotted time. I will certainly use Handy again.
No fee I did the job on 2/8/20 said I would get paid on the 17th it's now 24th still haven't gotten paid they quit responding to emails and no way to contact
I am extremely upset about the unprofessionalism of this service. It is extremely overpriced and misleading. There're are multiple extra charges that are not explained. I hired 2 pros to mount 2 large tv's- They estimated the job to take 3 hours- it started at 10am. Only 1 pro showed up. He was told there was only 1 tv and was not notified there was a second person. We thought that the second pro was a no show and the job was completed by 1 pro. The second pro showed up at 1:15 when the job was almost done and was told he was there for lifting and scheduled for 45 minutes. No one was aware that was when he was told to come. I was charged a ridiculous amount of $498 to mount / tv's. I am getting more and more irritated because there is NO customer service number to ask about reimbursement or explain charges. They have not gotten back to me via text or email except to say there was a $20 discount off next service. DO NOT use this app- it is a scam for overcharging and misleading information to the customer with very poor communication with the consumer.
I wasn't quite sure about it in the beginning but I took a chance with it and I love it I don't have to worry about it your maid is always on time she gets in here and does exactly what she's supposed to do and because it's the same one all the time now I don't have to tell her what she needs to do or what has to be done she just knows what to do when she comes in she is very professional and polite I'm glad I found that website.
I was charged twice and have not receiving a refund I was told I would get. The app was glitching and asked me for my information twice and I was double charged, for a booking that was obviously for one service, putting my office desk together. I booked for April 8th. It was a poor job and my desk was not properly assembled in 2 places, so Handy Sent a replacement booking on April 13th, which is now the reason I don't get a refund (they are trying to charge me to fix their mistake). I have requested to speak with a manager or supervisor and have yet to receive that information through the customer service email. This is bad business and unacceptable. I want my refund of $111 for being fraudulently charged twice on the Handy app. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HANDY TO MY WORST ENEMY!
Wow! Turns out I am fairly gullible and can be tricked easily. Because I just gave Handy $143.50 for some guy pretending to be a Professional Handyman, to attempt to assemble a gazebo. It's not a big one, just 10'x10x-comes with instructions. Brand new out of the box.
I myself cannot put it together because I don't have the proper tools but the website I purchased the Gazebo from said it should take 3 hours. I booked a "supposing professional handyman for 3 hours and was super excited to have coverage for my pets just before the storm rolls through tomorrow for a week straight.
The guy was 30 minutes late and when laying all the pieces out and reading the instruction manual, he seemed stumped.
Then I heard a lot of banging, clanking and dropping of things but not much work. Three hours in he called me to say he needed to leave because he was at his 3 hour limit and Handy will get upset with him if he stayed on the job.
The app doesn't even have the capability to extend the current job. It forces you to complete the project transaction; to rate and tip. That's stupid. Despite the guys incompetent work, I'd much rather keep him working on it as it's not likely I could now hire someone same day in the late afternoon.
This business just lost my business. I deleted the app and WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HANDY AGAIN.
P.S. ***TASKRABBIT***Just booked a guy with 282 Furniture Assembly Projects and is coming at 3 p.m.
FCUK HANDY
HIRE TASKRABBIT
Delores was great. Highly dedicated and respectful of my home. She did an outstanding job and left my home sparkling and shinning. I was pleased with her.
Ken was pleasant, and professional. He worked hard and fast, and was prepared, and informative about a little snafu that occurred with the product. He did a good job. Very pleased.
I booked a plumber using Handy to replace my broken bathroom shower fixture, the water on/off handle was broken and the water would not turn off unless I shut it off at the valve. Handy charged me $174 for this 2-hour service.
As scheduled, at 4:30 pm the plumbers arrived. They had no fixture and minimal tools. They worked from 4:30pm to 10:30pm trying to repair my shower. During this time, three trips to a local hardware store where made. The did not finish the repair and returned the next morning at 9:00am. Two trips to the hardware store where made. At 4pm the plumbers left my house telling me they were sorry, they couldn't fix the problem.
They left me with disconnected plumbing. I had to call in an emergency plumber to fix what they did. I contacted Handy the next day. I was first given a $35 credit for my next service. After several emails I was given a $113 refund. I did submit a claim but my contacts with them are now being ignored.
Handy''s website advertised "qualified professional plumber who will arrive at your home with all the skills and tools to tackle your problem". The people sent to my home were not qualified at all.
The damage Handy Plumbers caused cost me an additional $500 in repairs!
I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Handy. My primary issue revolves around their billing practices; I was charged twice, including a cancellation fee for a plan that Handy itself cancelled. This seems utterly unfair and raises questions about their ethical practices.
Furthermore, the operational logistics of Handy are also concerning. The cleaners assigned to my home were often located far away, adversely affecting the quality of service they could provide. While this is no reflection on the cleaners' efforts, it indicates a lack of consideration from Handy in matching clients with nearby professionals.
My dissatisfaction extends to Handy's financial model as well. It appears that a significant portion of the charges do not go to the cleaners, who are the backbone of their service. This disparity is troubling and suggests a profit-centric approach at the expense of fair compensation for their workers.
Another point of frustration is the rigidity and lack of transparency in their booking system. Altering or cancelling cleaning appointments often leads to unjustified charges, and the system doesn't seem to account for changes effectively. This lack of flexibility and clarity in their process is a major drawback.
Lastly, customer support is another area where Handy falls short. When technical issues arise with the app, there is no option to speak with a human representative over the phone for assistance, which can be incredibly frustrating and inefficient.
Overall, my experience with Handy has been far from satisfactory. Their service model not only inconveniences customers but also seems to undervalue their own cleaners. I would not recommend their services based on these multiple concerns.
Scherrie did such a good job on areas that hadn't been deep cleaned in years that she is welcome back anytime - it's like staying in a new place. Thanks Scherrie!
Rescheduled 4 times. Canceled without notifying Wayfair. Then rescheduled after Wayfair made the appotmnet. Hard to believe Wayfair would use a company like this! Never again!
He did a wonderful job. The bed looks great and I'm really happy with the results. It has made things much easier for me. Thank you!
Asked me where I would like my bike to be set up made sure I sat on it for the height awesome. Job well done Steve
Jon showed up on time and was very professional. He did an amazing job assembling a very heavy pizza oven. I would recommend him any day!
Took his time and organizing the assembly very nice job at the end thanks Jose. Definitely i will keep as my handy pro.
Delay in delivery by Costco. Anthony came back a second time to take care of everything. On a different day. Good job.
Really really bad.
Please avoid getting in trouble with this fraudulent people!
I met the so called "pro" in person to know who was coming to my place, he did a sloppy job leaving stains on the floor and countertops. I gave him my direct contact for the future in case he had issues to enter the apt or anything, he couldn't care less... keep reading...
I went out of town for a couple of months, booked two cleanings with the same guy before the arrival of guests. I never heard from him again, and after 2 months I got to discover that the two cleanings were never done, and I delivered a dirty apt to my guests!
Handy didn't let me know he couldn't enter my apt, even if he had my direct phone exactly for that purpose! I talked to him in person!
The best of this story is that these cleanings (for a 300sf apt) were around $186 each, when I was under the impression I bought a deal with Handy and they should have been around $70. AND they are refunding me only half of it, LITERALLY STEALING $93 FROM ME, without counting the damage to my reputation as a host! And all the time I'm wasting talking with useless customer service.
This is unacceptable.
They hire unqualified people who don't care, and bottom line they are just after your money in any possible way... including setting appointments by default once a month! What? Without even asking? Let's talk about it!
Company takes 75-80% of $. Techs get few dollars and lie about booking info and what to do. That's why so many cancels and no shows. Handy is SCAM
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
Answer: Again, these should not be appearing in the automatic feed for FAQ's? Who is doing QA around here?
Answer: Probably should not list someone's personal telephone number in the FAQ feed. What do you guys think?
Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
