I HIRED HANDY LAST WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME TO CLEAN MY HOME. I THOUGHT, OH, GREAT, IT'S SO EASY TO SCHEDULE, FAST AND SUPER CHEAP! I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY ECONOMICS PROFESSOR; 'THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH!' WELL, DAMN, WAS HE RIGHT. IT STARTED SOUTH WHEN I HAD A QUESTION REGARDING PAYMENT. I TRIED TO CALL THIS COMPANY, BUT INCREDIBLY, NO PHONE NUMBER! SERIOUSLY! THE YEAR IS 2019 AND YOU DON'T HAVE A PHONE NUMBER?!? F-U! SENT THEM AN EMAIL, BUT GOT A LATE RESPONSE. THE MAID THAT SHOWED UP LOOKED TO BE ON DRUGS. PERHAPS PCP, HEROIN OR CRACK. THROW IN A BIT OF ANGEL DUST AND METH AND YES, YOU HAVE MY MAID! HE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS GOING TO STEAL EVERYTHING IN MY HOME, SO I TOLD HIM TO LEAVE! HANDY NEVER REFUNDED MY MONEY AND INSTEAD HIT ME WITH A $00 EARLY CANCELLATION FEE! CRIMINALS! THESE COMPANIES, SIMILAR TO HOMEJOY, WHICH WENT OUT OF BUSINESS, ARE JUST MEETING PLACES WHERE ANY MORON CAN GO AND WORK. BUNCH OF SMART-$#*! PROGRAMMERS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CLEANING HOMES! RUN, OH, RUN!
I signed up for 6 months of handy.com cleaning services to get me through my pregnancy. I had someone come once a month and we had a total of five different pros clean (we invited someone back) but were never satisfied with the job done by any of them. They were all rushing through and were taking short cuts. Many didn't sweep, just mopped over the dirt and dust. They wiped down the bathroom but it never really was cleaned. Most didn't dust. They never moved anything so swept or vacuumed around dining chairs and our living room ottoman. Under the bed wasn't cleaned. One pro "cleaned" our apartment by spraying ridiculous amounts of Lysol around, telling me he was getting rid of the germs... we couldn't breathe and I had a 3.5 year old and a 2 week old baby home. Many pros didn't wipe clean the appliances (microwave and toaster oven) or the shelf they're on. Many pros told me how quickly they would clean my apartment and they would rush out with incomplete jobs. I would avoid this company and throwing away your money. You'll regret committing to them.

DONT EVER USE THIS COMpANY! We booked this company through Wayfair to put together a small dining room table and chairs and a tv stand. They were two separate orders so there were two separate bookings. All in all, they cancelled and rescheduled 6 times with two hours notice "sorry there has been a last minute call off, your job has been rescheduled). Even when I called in to verify the booking would happen, they still called off later that day. Their customer service center must be in Asia somewhere and, although polite, completely unhelpful. I would never use this service again even if it was offered for free! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
I wish I could give them a zero.

I'm probably not going to say something that hasn't already been said but this is the most nastiest money hungry company I've ever worked with. No wonder they don't have a phone number to contact them. They would receive way too many calls complaining about surprise charges and just overall bad customer service.
The first bad experience was when I created my 6-month subscription (biggest mistake). I didn't know my MIL already had a subscription for it so I wanted to cancel since we didn't need 2 for the same house. Of course Handy put their hands up and said that's not their problem and wouldn't let me cancel without paying ridiculous fees. Bull$#*! $#*! company who doesn't care about their customers.
I also tried to rescheduling a cleaning and without any notification, they charged me $15 for it. Atleast $#*!ing let me know I'm going to be charged so I can decide to reschedule or not. But why would they do that? On top of the $90 they get, they'll get an extra $15 for not telling me and rescheduling my service. $#*!ing greedy $#*! $#*!ing people.
I sent them a nasty email for this and what did they do in return? Said they're going to credit me $10 for the next service. SHUT THE $#*! UP. Are you kidding me? I get $10 for the $15 EXTRA I paid AND the frustration of not getting my service the $#*!ing day I rescheduled it for that I got CHARGED FOR?
Handy is a $#*!ing joke. Most of their "professionals" suck anyway. Please please find a cleaning service elsewhere. Do not give them your hard earned money.
EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED WITH HANDY. I HAD TO TAKE OFF OFF WORK ON SUNDAY AND WORK ON MY DAY OFF ON THURSDAY SO HANDY CAN COME OVERY AND FINALLY PUT THIS FURNITURE ON. AT THE LAST MINUTE I GET A TEXT " Due to a last-minute pro call off" I'VE NEVER EVEN HEARD THE TERM BEFORE. IF YOUR SO CALL PRO-CALL OFF, THAT IS NOT CUSTOMER FAULT, YOU CAN'T JUST RESCHEDULE AND MAKE CUSTOMER WAIT ANOTHER 4 DAYS. THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE BACKUP IF SOMEONE CALL OFF. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXTREMLY DISAPPOINTED.
I contracted with Handy.com for an outdoor grill assembly. The first one forgot 4 key bolts to secure the main grill to the cabinet. Two bolts were found in the cabinet, and two in the trash. The owner's manual was also in the trash. There was a gas leak from the side burner (could be very dangerous). Installed an obviously damaged burner (appeared to be screwdriver puncture, perhaps done when removing shipping packaging).
The damaged burner was "found" by the second handyman sent by Handy.com to troubleshoot problem. He show up a half hour late and was intoxicated to the point of slurring words. My landscapers actually saw the man beforehand drinking in his car. He was trying to solicit direct service. He was confident that Wayfair would send me a whole new grill because of the damaged burner. That led to my wondering if the second handyman damaged the burner to drum up work assembling when Wayfair would send me a new grill.
The app makes it very difficult to choose a Handyman. Jobs are put out on the App for registered Handymen to grab jobs. The second one claims he was paid only $25 by Handy. That may speak to the quality of service rendered.
This is the closest to a "scam" that I've ever been involved in. I signed up to try Handy back in August. I have tried multiple "pros" for housecleaning. Not one has completed the handy list of tasks. Even after cleaning, my home has been left multiple times with dirty floors, toilets, sinks, etc. I have different people coming to my home. Not one of them has stayed for the paid amount of time. Many interrupt me while working from home (after I've stressed, Please don't disturb). Many have not worn masks during the pandemic. The only recourse is not to tip or rate the cleaner poorly. I feel nervous about doing this when the workers now have access to my home. In addition, the workers complain about how little they get paid from Handy. There is no management to speak of. I have reached out with concerns and receive noncommittal emails back with credits (for continued services I don't want!). I did not realize that there was $99 cancelation fee when I joined. Must have been in "fine print." This has been absolutely terrible. Buyer beware.
Had 2 charges on an old debit card that doesn't get used I have had in my possession for about a year totaling over $1300! They are in the business of stealing peoples money outright now instead of pretending to be a business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY>>>>>if you have you better keep an eye on your account and if you have never used them (like me) you better watch for bogus charges from these criminal sleazebags

And no one called. Super frustrating.
They charged our card and never showed up. I had to try to "talk" to a bot to try to get the issue resolved. RUN AWAY!

Craig was on time, pleasant, and professional! He also did a fine job! He went through my home and did everything I had asked. I'm very sure he will do a great job for us.
Megan showed up on time on the day of the appointment. She did a great job installing a gigantic piece of artwork with a wooden frame, quickly and efficiently all by herself. Thank you, Megan!

I worked for these crooks and every complaint written here I would absolutely say is genuine the only people that they treat worse than their customers is there are independent contractors or Pros they treat you okay at first but after a few months they purposely want you to quit so that they don't have to classify you as an employee another law they seem to want to skirt around.
Deceitful lying and crooked would be considered soft words for what this company does they honestly should be shut down.
For the third time now they are keeping my pay based on 1: a jobs that never existed that they say I missed, two weeks after the fact 2: a customer complaint that wasn't true, I went back to the customer and ask them about it because Idid a couple other jobs for them not thru handy which by the way is the only good thing about them is that you can pick up some good contacts, and they said they never complained that it was completely made up by handy even offered to give me a letter in writing, yet they kept $175 of my money I could go on and on but all I can say it is a horrible horrible horrible horrible company to work for as for customers I have never seen so many complaints in my life anyway the customer service number which they don't like to give out is *******077 they jerk everybody around on the email which they don't respond to. This company is what's exactly wrong with this country if they pulled the same deceitfulness that they pull in this country in their home country they would cut your hands off

This is literally the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. DO NOT USE THEM. I have been through three handymen and two sets of the same desk parts trying to get this one desk built.
The first handyman was nice but did a really bad job. They sent a second handyman to try to fix the desk. He was a little better but wasn't even informed that he would be dissembling then reassembling the desk to fix previous issues. Not only was he not booked for even remotely close to enough time to do so. But if he had attempted to do that it would have stripped the already placed screw holes and not assembled the same.
I was sent a second desk kit and given a third handy appointment. I kept the first messed up desk to show handy man #3 what had gone wrong/and what the second guy had fixed some.
He told me that I maybe I was asking for too much. (I am an engineering student who currently lives with a retired mechanical engineer. I assure you, I understand assembly and was NOT asking for too much. I would have built this desk myself it wasn't so heavy.)
So I told him if he really felt like i was asking for too much he could just leave because I didn't want to ruin another desk.
I have wasted SO much time already & still don't have a properly assembled desk after THREE Handy app appointment visits.
Just don't do it.
I've been looking for a housecleaning service that would let me set the schedule and that would be affordable and I'm so pleased with the cleaner, too. App is easy to use!
Natasha was kind and cleaned my house well! I am so happy. Now I can relax because my house is normal again and I can focus on just work itself at the moment.

Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
