Lowes outsources installations to this company, I don't know why because they are horrible. Rescheduled my ceiling fan installation 4 times. Eventually I went to Lowes and got a full refund. Don't waste your time.
Mr. Jose was on time. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very professional and courteous. He even made sure he cleaned his work area after the install. Good attention to details. Thank you for a pleasant install experience.

Christian was very nice, kind and very caring about his work. He did an excellent job at putting my patio furniture together, even thou the box it came in was missing 1 piece to the furniture. I would recommend Handy and would also recommend Christian to family and friends.
Dont use this company. They treat customers horribly. They ask you when your are available for them to come and put your stuff together then they reschedule you to any day they feel like. They cancelled me 3 times I have proof of emails and then told me the computer said I rescheduled. And their saying about handy happiness is a bull, that only applies to the customers received their service not customers who they screwed over 3 times and didnt service, horrible company
It took forever for the background. I had to be persistent. I purchased all my equipment, including PPE. I followed instructions, did my due diligence. I took numerous photos for my profile, and each time I open app... it's gone.
Like with those photos, to date I have booked over 3 DOZEN jobs that have not come into fruition. Always at the last minute, customer cancellation.
I requested to be a fee for wasting my day and time and their (Handy's)was to refer to their cancellation policy.
I have yet to follow through with one job to date. All have been dubs!
They will rip you off and charge you tons of insane fees! I had an emergency and had to cancel a service and they charged me the full amount for services that were not rendered. I reached out to customer service and they gave me a credit of $40... NO WHERE was it listed that I would be charged in full. I understand charging a small fee for canceling a few hours before but a full $93!... I have also had many terrible experiences with their cleaning "professionals"... these people cant clean.
Definitely not a good way to find jobs. I've used different construction sites to help bring in jobs when times start to get slow like home adviser, Angie's list, etc. Now your not going to make the amount you would normally bid for the job they give you but it's reasonable since they are helping with the find. Handy pro can't even fix their app. You can't get ahold of them and the jobs you get have no explanation of what exactly I will need for the materials or tools to complete the job. I can't even talk with the customer to get the info until I get there. That is unprofessional in itself. I've been doing this for 25 years and own my own company for 13 of those years. This handy pro company will give the contractors a bad name due to not enough info and just plain out horrible set up for the customer and the contractor. I've completely deleted my info from them and I recommend you all go a different route to get your home improvement needs.
Just needed a bike assembled for grandchild that I bought at WalMart, this assembly added on service. They have cancelled three times so far! I have had the bike for two weeks. Will be letting Wallyworld know how I feel, they need to dump this group.
She called before coming, which was nice. She did an excellent job on the whole apt., but especially the bathroom. I have a huge shower. She also mopped the hard floors by hand! That was great! She also cleaned the microwave, and my daughter (27) gives her a 10 for includung it.
This company and their so called professionals are an absolute nightmare! If I could leave a negative 10 stars that is exactly what I would do! I plan on going to the BBB and taking all action necessary to get out of their ridiculous contract and get a refund!
Handy sent out 2 different contractors that had no clue as to what to do. One contractor told me he had to go get materials - he did, and said this was extra, and showed me the Home Depot bill for $60.00. I paid him for the materials, and he said we would be back with the right tools - NEVER came back. The second contractor also did not know what he was doing and he cancelled the job. Handy WILL NOT Refund the $60.00, even though it was their contractor!
Great communication on delivery time and date confirmation. Pro was on time and communicated during the day leading to the appointment. He was friendly, respectful, and cleanly during and after the install. I would recommend Handy.
I hired a handyman to put something up in my office, bought the tools and everything ourselves, and when I realized he had made a mistake and contacted Handy they basically told me to hire another person.
It's a professional building and he was doing our conference rooms. It wasn't a huge mistake, but if you send me someone you "vetted" and have a "Happiness Guarantee" how are you going to tell me to just spend more money (it cost over a hundred dollars the first time, and even with the pathetic $35 refund it would still cost over a hundred to hire someone else) instead of just sending someone to fix it?
I chose them specifically because they had a guarantee, I should have just gotten someone off Craigslist for cheaper.
I verified my appt the day before and was told someone would be there.I woke up Christmas Eve, the next day, and had a cancellation email and rescheduled date. The company had no alternate person to come or suggestions. So on Christmas Eve I spent 3 hrs trying to find someone else to assemble my kids Christmas gifts. I would never recommend this company to anyone I cared about. They also use contractors, so they don't truly take responsibility for their actions.You have been warned!
I made a furniture purchase through Wayfair and inquired about assembly services. They informed me that they could book services through Handy. I was not familiar but decided to go with their connection to the company... BIG MISTAKE! I arranged for someone to be home for assembly. This so called pro by the name of Darius never showed up. I called him and he said he didnt have a contact number and was not coming. I didnt receive any notification about the no show and Handy had the audacity to schedule for another date and time without ever confirming with me. Wayfair quickly issued a refund and I will sit here with the instructions and do it myself. What a waste of time and energy! Pro is certainly a misnomer!
When I ordered my exercise bike I got an email that day saying someone would be out 3 days after delivery. 1 HR before they were to arrive they resched to 2 days later. Night before they reschedule again to another week out. I emailed them and told them to forget it. They responded apologizing that some times they don't have people in the area when customer wants them! I wasn't the one who picked the date and time they were!
Roberto Garcia came and did the job very efficiently. He knew his job. He was very professional and had an excellent attitude. He also did all cleaning to make sure no trash was left behind.
There is no customer service. We tried to contact the cleaning service numerous times, and we kept getting charged on our credit card. I do not recommend the service, and I would not advise using it unless you like dealing with your credit card company all the time!
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
