Someone please create a new and improved app to compete with this p. O. s. The same complaints as everyone else. Bots, WAY TOO MANY LENGTHY ADS, I've heard a horror story of a very intelligent guy being blackmailed and Grindr not helping in any way. AND, the pic issue. There is NO rhyme nor reason to their approving pics. Mine for example is me, seated in public, fully dressed, a shirt and conservative j crew shorts - deemed "to sexual" / inappropriate - wtf? Meanwhile, one member is wear a g-string the size of dental floss, with one leg up on a railing? Another on all fours in a speedo, testicles hanging... neither cute, neither hot. So, it is very strange to me. Different rules for different folks. That doesn't work for me.

I have just been discriminated by Grindr support for NO reason. They just banned my profile RIGHT AFTER I created it - they say I "violated some guidelines", which I DIDN'T (in fact, I had even no time to fill out my profile OR even to talk to someone!), and they refused to lift the ban for no reason. The support member told me somebody reported me and does not even give me a reason - for what. I am 100% sure I did not even talk to anyone, NOR did I write anything unusual in my profile (again, I had no time to even finish it).

I live in Brussels and I am planning to go tomorrow to complain to the European Commission as they already had ethnicity discrimination issues, but this is now UTTER INSANITY! They are discriminating gay people AT RANDOM!

Poor customer service, and vaguely written, but abuseable community guidelines, make this app a poor place to socialize in a positive manner. After trying this app due to the suggestion of a friend, I'm concerned with the number of people who are soliciting funds in exchange for sex.

Since refusing such offers, I have also come to be banned (likely being reported out of spite by those I'd rejected), and the customer service team can't be bothered to do more than auto-generate a response to any inquiry sent to them.

Blessed be those who can enjoy the app, but I would avoid this app if you want to use it for social connections.

I, like many of those before me have written, have been banned for no reason at all and with no justification. After seeing many pictures of those that have written, it is becoming clear to me one obvious reason most of us are being banned... Unless Wayne and the "other" staff from Grindr can explain their own biased and bigotry. It is mind blowing the amount of Drug offers along with Prostitution offers on Grindr, yet I who even kindly thanks annoying users that wont stop messaging me get "Banned" from this hookup app. Was I being tooooo kind hearted? Who the F... knows... Yo Wayne at Grindr, you should be banned yourself for being that bigot against your own community!

My account has been wrongfully terminated. I tried to contact the Customer Service via email and via the app itself, but they just shut down my tickets (that's what they call the cases every time you write to them) and refuse to answer my questions. I had Xtra membership purchased and after the termination I demanded a refund for unused months of that membership. The Customer Service refused to acknowledge my questions and just closed every question I have sent without any answer from them. So rude and fraudulent. Absolutely appalling behaviour of this thieving app. You pay a year of membership and then they arbitrarily cancel your account without any explanation and won't refund your now useless membership you had paid in full and their Customer service refuses to even talk to you to explain what is going on. Terrible rip off and fraud this whole app! Do not buy anything from them, it's a scam!

Like many others I was banned from Grindr for no reason. First they said my profile was 'spammy' - then when I challenged Customer Service about it, 'John' stated that I 'breached community guidelines'

I was on grindr for years without any problems and suddenly I was breaching their guidelines. Of course, they provide no specific details but are quick to point out that they can ban a user at any time and for any reason, or no reason at all.

If this is how grindr is going to conduct business and treat so many members, than I don't see them surviving very long. The odd thing is, they banned me for no reason yet there is a spike in the number of actual spam profiles.

To each their own. I'm gay and like Men as Men. Beards, body hair -including happy trails, chest hair, arm pits, and pubes. Can't believe how many times I have to delete the trannies from messaging me, some coming back to tell me that I'm to discriminating against them, just cause I told them I'm not interested in getting to know guys that wears women's panties, stockings, bras, etc. One chick-$#*! reports me as being rude and discriminating. Grinder bans me for Zero Tolerance... and keeps my money for yearly subscription. Are they judging me for what I like and dont like? I'm so glad there are so many other gay Apps that I've discovered are for men meeting men. Guys4guys. Adam4adam... steve4steve... scuff. GrindHER wasn't for me.
