Grindr

Grindr is the worst gay hookup sight on the internet, not that the others are much better. The problem with anything anywhere these days, not just on the internet, is it's all about somebody making money.
1. the fake spam conman profiles or con-whatever (because you never know who's on the other end of a con) are out of control and Grindr Admin does NOTHING about it.
2. ad's in general are TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL! They freeze up your window and make you have to close the app and reopen it. I.e. I wouldn't buy an effin online Monopoly app if it where the last thing on earth and I was bored out of my mind! Freezes your window regardless if you are a paying subscriber or a free user so the other guy on the other end never knows if you are ghosting him or what? Great way to hook up! Way to go Grindr NOT!
3. most of the controls in the setting don't work consistently let alone work at all. I.e. I block the same guy 10 times a day and he reappears.
4. Profiles stay up long after you exit the app so other guys still think you are online.

All of their annoying advertising has been related to gambling. Their advertising on gambling is imposed on the use with poo ups that cannot be deleted. Their web site won't function at all if BlockAd is installed. All in all a very manipulative and deceptive web site

I made an unlimited subscription (60 dollars per month in my country). Grindr banned me without explanation when I had 1.5 months left. They didn't even bother to answer when I contacted them despite making me lost more than 60 dollars. They seem to have 0 respect for their customer, you should look on the Internet they have shady practices (HIV scandal)with using your data and don't seem to respect RGPD/GDPR. If you still use this app don't subscribe to anything + signal the app to google/Apple!

Plus honestly, WTF do I have to actually say yes to everyone to be sure not to be ban? Does Grindr promote rape or sexual aggression?

Ok... I DO like the Grindr format, BUT... their computer KEEPS BANNING MY ACCOUNT for no apparent reason! I am not rude to people as I chat with them. I do not stalk. I do not have an inappropriate pic in as my profile pic. I DO NOT send "repeat" messages to people that may be "flagged" as spam. But... my account(s) (I keep making new ones!) KEEP getting flagged and banned by their terrible computer. At first their customer service would unban me... but now I hear NOTHING back from them. Very unprofessional and frustrating!

I get contacted at least once a month from guys wanting money for sex. The last time was July 30, and the msg was "Pay for Sex". I immediately reported it to Grinder and have done so every week since and the account is still active. Conclusion: Grinder approves, supports and promotes PROSTITUTION! If you use an Apple device then write to Apple and let them know. If enough people write to Apple then they will remove this crappy app from the Apple Store and no one with an Apple device will be able to download their app.

Horrible app several times it freezes locks me out and steals my money, do not use this app. Its disgusting

Complaint's: 1 month paid review 19.99$ - Owned by China, Support SUCKS email only, not enough description space, cost/app not worth it very risky, chatting, profile review free unlike any dating/sex site which makes it even more RISK -death count? After payment 90% chance of getting banned on terms conditions for something you didn't do or no proof again support SUCKS, too easy to open account countless scam's overseas and abroad. Committed fraud with the help of APPLE STORE.COM countless times, one reviewer say's "They are thieves", couldn't be truer! Apple should know better!
Yes, we need a great dating site that supports itself by AD's, lower membership fees for all and tightens the security, risk, death's that happen all too well on dating sites. I was advised I was reported for violation of Grindrs terms and conditions. When I contacted John G. In customer support he would not tell the the specific reason for which I was banned. I repeatedly requested an impartial 3rd party binding arbitration as provided in their terms and conditions and never received a response. Its a shame they expect members to adhere to their terms and conditions but they don't. I've sent a letter to the office of the chairman of the board of Beijing Kunlun Tech Co. Ltd., majority interest owner of Grindr, asking them to review my situation and now waiting for a response. Hopefully someone higher up will be concerned about how customer service is mistreating it's members.

The app was nice in the beginning, then they started to make money - it's fair as no service is for free.
Then they wanted more money - ok advertisements and paid accounts with more functionalities... now they became unlimited greedy. Paying for Xtra account (subscription for a whole year) and they changing rules during the game, removing existing and basic functionalities which I pay for. And forcing to buy the highly overpriced unlimited version. Not gonna extend my subscription as I pay money and receive not much more than in a free account.
Not mentioning they they have no control over age verification and daily spams, and aggressive escort profiles.
They should be suied for using the LGBT+ community as they became main app for us and they're using the situation in very inappropriate and greedy way.
Very bad strategy. I hope their position will be taken over by new app which os not only looking to get money from us.

I have used grindr for several years and it has been a good safe source for hooking up with random men - HOWEVER the useless and annoying ads and games.are it difficult to enjoy the site. Can someone PLEASE help with the endless ads my gosh I'm on here for fun not to see your endless freaking ads that all or most of your viewers have no interest in - please for God sakes end the ads!

I have been banned so many times on grinder that I now realize it's not worth the effort to convince the gods of gay hookup sex site that they allow to many customers to be blackmailed or blackballed
For the most trivial reasons and if ur pictures are more attractive than some old crows that get jealous you will be banned.

My account got banned from Grindr after an accusation of being harassing or bullying people without any proof, since there is none because I didn't harass or bully anybody. I have being a paying member for years and after contacting the support team they deny to provide me evidence and refer to their terms and conditions:

During my time on this site, I have had the worst experience that I couldve imagined. I was mugged by a guy and his gang, and when I tried to warn others in the area, by writing on my profile, I was permanently banned, with no explanation. His profile was allowed to remain and he met others (probably to groom them. They came and told me). When I tried to complain and get a refund for my annual subscription, all my emails and messages were flat ignored. They had obviously banned my home IP and my phone IPs. There are drug dealers, muggers, con artists, prostitutes, violent people, hidden profiles, no security measures, terrible customer service, it is the most expensive, you get stood up a lot, people are rude, nearly everyone is practicing unsafe sex. I was a victim of crime twice through this site, and they offered absolutely no support or advice, they just banned me for posting a warning statement to my community. It's a terrible site and the owners do not care enough to even explain why you get banned, even when you point out that you are entitled to information under Data Protection laws. They do not deserve their licenses. They should not be trusted with public safety.
