I was picked up at the air port in the UK the Evergreen shuttle service by a very friendly driver once i made the call at the airport to be collected at Gatwich Airport and then taken to the office to collect my car locally and fill in the paperwork and pay the pre auhtrosised deposit on my credit card.
Nice clean car with a full tank of petrol was recieved with kind thanks and all existing car exterior paint and panel defects on car body and tyre rims were recorded if any on a personal smartphone by me before the vehicle leaves the site to avoid discrepencies to car condition on its return.
Evergreen appreciated the fact that I cleaned the car when I returned it and I reported no new defects to the car when it was inspected as part of their process for vehicle return whic is all explained before you take the car away at the office.

I got charged twice and they even saying they are pleased to say they got the money from the card...There is no clear section mentioning they will charge for any fine.

Overall good experience with vehicle, check in, and return. It was a clean indoor facility. They have every little scratch and dent documented when you pick up vehicle. We had no issues at return, but I would recommend you take pictures when you pick up your vehicle.

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
