Your customer service person was very pleasant but she didn't follow through & never called me back when I told her I was having trouble. I think your so called service is a con to get money out of people who aren't sure how to get the EIN number they need. I should have been informed I could get my # free from the IRS. I'm not happy with your con.

I was a little surprised when I saw one of two EIN requests was delayed. When I replied to the email the form and format was strange and didn't leave me knowing whether or not I'd responded correctly. I don't like the email format. As a guy who lives at his computer it's a bad system. But,
When I got on the phone and spoke to someone I was greatly impressed with their concern and the effort they went to, helping me. I received excellent service person to person. Well done to Maria and her crew. She was great and while working through a computer system that continued to drop her offline.

Oh what a sucker I am

I just waited two weeks to find out that I had been conned. What scares me is that these people have my social security number. My application was denied by the Social Security office because I had sent a copy of my drivers license. They do not accept copies. When I spoke to the representative at GovSimplified, they suggested that I make a copy of my drivers license and send the original to the Social Security office. In other words, they encouraged me to break the law. It was only after threatening to call the attorney general that they refunded my money. Take my advice, go wait in the line at the SS office. There's no getting around it.

Scam!

Paid $37 for a SS package that I thought was going to Ive instant proof that applied as unneeded proof for a job that I had just started. Got and email with shipping label(addressed to SS office five minutes from my house) nothing in the email gave me proof of application. When I called I was told I had to go down to the office for proof. What is the point of the service then? Went down and instantly got proof for FREE! Was told this website is a useless scam to get peoples money. Called to be refunded my money and was told I could only get partial refund. Despite that I had not printed or used the label they sent me. The woman I spoke with after being on hold for 20 min calarabelle was extremely rude Nd condescending. And just kept repeating some phrase about terms and conditions. Have yet to receive my partial refund

This is a scam!

This company is a scam. I emailed 18 minutes after receiving my confirmation email asking for clarification of the documents needed - still haven't received a response 24+ hours later. I called after the email and was told to go to my doctor's office to have them write a letter confirming my existence. That didn't make any sense but I was at work and couldn't call back for assistance until that evening. When I called back, they were closed. I called today and was on the line for 20 minutes asking for a refund. I explained the phone call and email and they claim they never received it, even after I read them the email address it was sent to/from and the time stamp. She said she could only refund me 50%. The forms they provide you are available for FREE on the social security website and can be mailed to that location yourself. Save yourself $37 and a headache and print off your own form and pay for your own stamp.

The person helping me was very knowledgeable and pleasant but there was never once a mention of a cost until we were finished. I was under the impression that this was part of the IRS service and it upset me to have to figure out where to get a $147.00 for something I thought was free. It was a learning experience and not necessarily a good one.

I was trying to change my name after getting married and was told by this company that I had to pay the $97 to change my name for the app, living in a really expensive state I didn't think too much of it because we have to pay for everything else! Well. You don't have to pay to change your name-Received a call from a guy claiming to help me, when I started to ask?'s, he had to transfer me. Hung up, called the number back, told them they are frauds THEN WAS THREATENED BY A WOMEN ASKING ME IF I'd LIKE TO BE CALLED 25 times a day?! I called the 888 number, and she couldn't tell me exactly what the company does? Name? Nothing- hang up! DO NOT TRUST

Great Service

The representative who took my call was John.

He was very knowledgeable and made my experience much better. I had called the IRS and never could get help from a live body.

I did not need any further aggravation trying to get an EIN number and I appreciate the help I received. Thanks very much!

I used GovSimplified to apply for a SS card replacement. Needed to get a birth certificate which i did. Sent the official birth certificate in to GovSimplified along with their application. Nothing came. I tracked the package and found that a piece of registered mail had been delivered with my name on it to the local SS office. It had been a month. I went to that office and the Social Security administration has no record of a new card having been applied for. GovSimplified is unknown to them. My birth certificate and new card, if there is one, are gone and i have no way to track them. I will report this to the SS Administration and FBI. Do not use this service.

Money POORLY Spent...

Well to start you can do this yourself for FREE, again that is FREE, on the IRS website. You put the same information in and it is instant on the IRS website. Don't make the mistake I did by paying $150 for someone else to submit the form that I filled out online anyway.

Now this govsimplified does complete the service they promise and in a very timely manner. So I can't complain there. I am just mad at myself for spending unnecessary funds for this.

Not a good experience

I was not happy with this experience. I called in and that process was ok, agent was a little pushy, and in the process some how the ss # was put in wrong. The agent had given me the 24- hour price but was going to process it like a 1- hour price which was very nice but not when it turned into over a 24-hour ordeal. So not so sure if that was done intentionally so we did not get the discount anyway. The main complaint is when trying to call back in to get this situation taken care of was absolutely ridiculous. I was on the phone 3 times and waited over 30 mins each time. The second time the agent told me after I explained the situation, and had raise my voice to do that, she said she was going to go ahead and help us and again was on hold again for over 30 mins and finally hung up. I should have not paid any money for this service, it is not customer friendly and I feel I should be refunded some or all of the money that was supposed to make this an easier process.

This site is very deceptive. It looks like it is affiliated with the government, but IT IS NOT! I was charged $37 for postage, but when they wanted original documents, red flags went up, and I decided to go to my local social security office instead. (I had to take time off of work, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.) When I called for a refund, I was told that it wasn't possible.

You are correct in asserting that we are not a government website nor are we a representative of the government. We are a private service company and are not affiliated with any government agency or the SSA. We do not advertise the sale or generation of social security cards or the official SS5 form necessary in order to apply for a new or replacement card. You can obtain these forms for free from the SSA. These disclosures appear on our landing page and on each page a visitor arrives to throughout the application process.

The SSA accepts applications for social security cards either in person or by mail and require proof of identity as well as several other things along with the SS5 form for processing in either case. We instruct you to send your documents to your local SSA and we provide a prepaid label addressed to your nearest SSA office with each of our packages to facilitate quick and simple mailing.

DO NOT USE! SCAM

Their so called documents didn't print right so I ended up driving to the S. S. office and they informed me that the documents were a fraud and I could get my card for free. I am trying to get my money back but I am not hopeful. Don't get taken by these frauds.

Do not use this site. It charges you from something that's free. I paid a $147 and tried to use the FEIN number sent to me and it is not in the IRS system this is a rip off run away. I was tricked to thinking it was an official government site. I am contacting the business bureau to report them immediately!

Kudos to the employee that assisted me!

I was not sure of some of the questions on the application and ended up calling for help in filling out. The lady on the phone was so nice and helpful and was especially patient answering all my questions. She explained things thoroughly and in simple terms. I appreciated also that she spoke English! I do hate that I could not fill out my application online, maybe needs for instruction on that website?
