Total fraud. These people will rob you of your money. Stay far away. I had a terrible experience until I found Joren Vale. He's now my go-to source. Completely trustworthy, always delivers, and worth every cent. Ask him for his latest price list.
So sleazy was the "gold" offer, without a price quote or payment detail, I've cut up my GoodRx cards and will utilize another discount prescription provider here on. Who knows what else they're scamming with respect to your prescriptions?
I subscribed to try to save money. Four weeks later and I still don't have my prescription. Every 2-3 days I call or message them for an update only to get the runaround. My pharmacy still hasn't even heard from them. Total waste of money.
I opted for the GoodRX Gold plan, which did save me money. I had just retired and had no prescription/ health insurance at the time. Being a diabetic and heart disease sufferer, I needed help with savings. $99 annually was doable for my budget. Fortunately the State came through with an insurance plan for me. So, bring as I still had 8 months of service left I canceled the Gold plan. I contacted customer service for an ETA on the pro-rated refund. She told me there would be no refund. I asked 3 times before I had to threaten the Attorney Generals office and the BBB, along with every media outlet I could find. They then returned my partial payment of $46.36. I think it should've been more, but was done with them. And BTW, I can't remove my bank card info from their site. I emailed about that today and will keep an eye on my card come August.
I was a good Goodrx Gold member and received a prescription for a fairly common issue. I found a pharmacy with the lowest price and had it sent there only to find out they didn't accept Goodrx and the $8 quoted prescription was $16. I called them to tell them and ask for the difference of $8 and all they did was call the pharmacy and verify they didn't accept their program. I wanted the whole membership canceled but she only refunded one month and didn't cancel the membership entirely.
This is an app based program which is already been penalized and had a settlement with the FTC for selling your financial and private information to other vendors. They're scumbags avoid them that goes for their doctors too they're quacks. Sometimes the cheapest definitely is not the best
Good Rx Gold advertised prices at pharmacies are much lower then what the pharmacies will actually sell the prescriptions for. The prices that Good Rx Gold advertise are not accurate or reliable in spite of what Good Rx claims - which is that Good Rx has contractual agreements with pharmacies concerning pricing. When Good Rx Gold is made aware of these price difference, Good Rx may phone the pharmacy but the pharmacy will ultimately not change their price to what Good Rx Gold advertises. Paying for a Good Rx Gold membership is therefore a complete waste of money. Pharmacies should ultimately stop Good Rx Gold from this deceptive advertising and put an end to the 'bait and switch (prices)' scam.
I will give my rating a 1 ONLY because the agents who work for Goodrx Gold are just messengers trying their best to calm customers who know EXACTLY what is going on with what was once a wonderful RX program at greatly reduced costs. I guess the best word I can use for the Goodrx employees answering the phones is that they,
Attempt to "PLACATE" both knowing and unknowing consumers who are paying $9.99 a month only to find out that several different pharmacies are refusing to take Goodrx Gold. I am a 25 year veteran critical care nurse and know far more than many others about big Pharma and the Capitalist country we live in which allows for big Pharma to make such shameful profits "legally" that some go without their medication or give up something, such as "food" to be able to pay for the medication they often desperately need. There is an article online from May of 2022 titled, The GoodRx-Kroger Blowup: Spread Pricing, Pharmacy margins, and the Future of Discount Cards. GoodRx surprised their investors and their customers with very unpleasant news about the near death of a relationship between Kroger Pharmacy and Goodrx. I don't have the mental bandwidth to tell all of you about the months and months of literal negotiations standing at the cash register at Kroger Pharmacy to receive the correct discounted price. However, Kroger is not the only giants fighting this war, there are others and more pharmacies joining in the madness of what feels like corruption fueled by tremendous greed, yet sadly for so many people, especially the aging, I am told we are all just experiencing Capitalism at its finest. Lastly, there is a well known African proverb that states: "When elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers".
I signed up for the gold membership. I needed a refill of meds for my nebulizer so I chatted with a "provider" online. I told him I had a nagging wheeze and needed a refill until I can get in to see my DR. He said I was having an asthma attack and I needed to go to ER now! Really? I've had asthma forever. I know when I'm having an attack. I kept chatting and he was gone! Lol... I got scammed out of 19 bucks for nothing! I cancelled my membership!
We were offered the annual membership, saving us a couple of months' cost, with the understanding that we could cancel this at any time.
After a few months, and the price of different drugs had changed, we realized the GoodRX Gold offered us no more savings than GoodRX. We called to cancel, and we could easily do so, but they would NOT refund of of the unused months left on the annual membership.
We thought cancelling meant a refund, but it does not!
I love GoodRX. I signed up for the Gold membership because it used to save me $20 on my prescription. Now I have Medi-Cal so my Rx copay is $0 and I don't currently use any other medications, so I didn't have a use for GoodRX any longer. I called for a refund and they issued it without any concerns or issues! I would highly recommend checking the company out to see how much you can save.
I signed up for this yesterday. First had lots of problems getting signed up but they don't help you over the phone. Today I did telehealth and got an Rx but it was never sent to the pharmacy. First-person told me she can't help me 2nd person finally did because I drove to the pharmacy and was not at home They have no supervisors available to speak to and they have to call you back. They do callbacks at end of the day. That will not fix my problem. It is 3:25 and I have spent my whole day trying to get this fixed.
In order to use it, you have to know EXACTLY the details about the Rx your doctor ordered. You would have to call the pharmacy IN ADVANCE to get this info. The website is NOT HELPFULL.
This the WORST service for which you pay $9.99/month to use. CVS does NOT recognize it. I am glad I asked for a refund for this worthless waste of money.
I drive a truck for a living and signed on to GoodRx in order to see an online doctor. Before they took my payment information they asked me for my medical history, and to upload a picture of my state issued ID and a selfie. Then they took my payment for the doctor visit along with a separate $9.99 for good RX gold membership. Once they got my money then they told me that I needed to take a picture of my prescription bottle. I did not have it where I could get to it. Ask them why they did not get this information before they took my money? Long and short they refunded the cost of the doctor visit but the 9
99 that they took out for this membership crap they would not refund. They are very misleading and sneaky. Do not sign up for their doctor service or their prime membership.
I recently signed up for goodrx gold after seeing that my medication was available thru goodrx gold for $134 at a local chain pharmacy. When my prescription was filled, I called to check the price and was told that it was $341. I had them check that it was thru goodrx gold, and they confirmed that that was the actual price. They suggested that I call goodrx gold customer service. When I did so, and finally got thru to a human (34 minutes later) the rep told me that many of the prices shown on the gold website were incorrect, and that to get the actual price I had to look up the med on the goodrx website where it would show both the goodrx and the goodrx gold prices. When I did that (at the "official goodrx site-compare prescription prices" it showed ONLY the goodrx price. NOTHING for goodrx gold. Goodrx gold charges for membership, renewing monthly, so you must enter a credit card with security info to get the gold card. Is this a phishing scam to get my card info? Looks like it to me. I just cancelled that card with resulting hassles. BUYER BEWARE!
GoodRX has consistently had lower prices for both myself and my wife's prescriptions. Only downside is that the best prices may require getting the scripts from more than on pharmacy. Two of my wife's prescriptions are cheapest at Winn-Dixie pharmacy and two others are cheaper at Walgreens. They are close to each other so it is no big deal.
App not in line with the "internal pricing". Plain English, they don't honor what signed up for, poor
You basically pay a subscription to not even get a discount. The free version of the service is cheaper a majority of the time, so you'll be paying more for the "gold" service AND your medication.
Do yourself a favor and stick to the free version. It's better than "gold".
I called to cancel my paid membership. I have never used it. My medicare supplement wouldn't pay for my pain med. I got RX Gold and went to CVS with the card to get it. They attached a coupon to my account so I didn't' need Rx Gold for it. The Rep was so nice. He checked and saw I never used them, so without me asking he credited me for every month I was charged! Most companies do all they can to get and keep your money and make it hard
To cancel. I hope their business thrives. I cant say enough about their service!
Answer: Their prices were better when I was first looking an comparing but that was when they first came out... I just haven checked other apps so other apps might be cheaper but I am pretty loyal
Answer: How is that confusing? Just cancel ur gold membership an use Good RX
