**Buyer Beware**

GMPartsDirect.com provides a VIN lookup tool on the HOMEPAGE of their website to help consumers identify products that one would assume fit/work with the supplied VIN#. However, if the part/item does not work and you don't supply your VIN at the point of purchase you are not given a full refund, they withhold 35%.

I utilized the VIN# lookup tool on their homepage as I was looking for replacement headphones for an SUV. I purchased the recommended headphones based on VIN and they did not work. I was refunded 65% of the total price and informed I did not provide my VIN# for them to verify my purchase. Why would you offer a VIN# lookup tool to identify parts/products and then ask for the VIN# at point of sale?

I ordered headphones that did not work and returned them in the original box in the same condition I received. I didn't procure an engine part or electrical component that could potentially be damaged or impossible to resale. The customer service in my attempt to retrieve my additional 35% was not accommodating in the least bit. Reading other reviews it's obvious this level of service is common.

Spend your money elsewhere.

Scammers!

On October 28,2019 I ordered a crankshaft from gmpartsdirect, which is owned and operated by Flow Buick GMC of Winston-Salem, for $190.63 plus shipping, totaling $221.81. According to the website, orders generally ship within 3 business days. If the items are not in stock, the website says that the items would ship in 3-7 days. Upon placing my order, nothing was stated that the item was not in stock. On the 3rd day, December 31,2019, I called to enquire as to when my order would ship. I was informed that due to recent GM Strike, that my order would ship late. I Asked if I would receive my order by Friday, November 9,2019, and I was informed that I would not, I was also informed that I should see if I could purchase my part locally. I agreed and requested a refund. The representative said no problem and our conversation ended. I received another phone call shortly after from gmpartsdirect. I was left a voice mail stating that I would be charged a 35% restocking fee for canceling my order. I immediately called back and was told the same thing. I asked the representative how could I be charged for a restocking fee of an item that THEY don't have in stock?! I was told that once an order is placed, they have to charge the restocking fee upon cancellation. I was told that it would take about a month to get the part, so GM had not shipped the item to the dealership yet! So why am I being charged for something that hasn't even been shipped out yet!?

Stole my money

For the life of me I will never figure out how companies can put the blame on customers and think it is fine. I ordered parts, 1 Part out of stock and NO ETA, They emailed me to let me know and I responded to credit my account then and ship the rest of the products. They charged the full amount for the entire order, never responded to return my funds for the item they could not get. All I got was arguments going back with emails to their CUSTOMER SERVICE people, And I use this phrase extremely loosely, then they tell me I never had an order, then I get an email saying they told me there was a 3-5 day delay (Which I never received). So I guess one person says I never had and order and the others say I did but they there was never an issue with getting the part to me? It seems to me that this outfit does not have their stuff together. I was Harassed on emails for a while and finally told them they better cool it with their "Cover your rear end" policy. That does not fly with me and I am sure not with many others. I write lots of very positive reviews usually, But very few Bad one's. I try to give the benefit of the doubt but this company is a JOKE!
So Ordered June 16th today is the 21st, No Parts, NO Order? I had my Credit Card company Dispute any charges, They sure do not know what to do, And here we are.

These guys are ridiculous, I ordered a 2017 ZL1 upper and lower grille on their website and it calculated the total shipped to my house and I accepted and placed the order on 06/29/2018 and then on 07/10/2018 I get an email saying " We have received your grilles from GM and we realize that we have to send them in 2 boxes so if you would like to continue with the order than we will have to charge you an extra $46 to ship them to you, if not we can cancel the order " I got upset and I replied back and let them know as a customer going on a website and placing a purchase and it gives you a total based on your shipping address I don't feel as the customer I should pay the extra $46 a week and a half later you realize that you now need 2 boxes. I told them cancel my order and then 15 mins later I emailed them back and said this is horrible service but I am on crunch time and just process it and they never even replied back, just canceled the order and that was it. I really hope someone reads this over there and sees how horrible and pathetic their service is, I went and called gmpartsonline.net and they took my order with great customer service verifying part numbers.

NEVER SENT ORDER

Gave VIN for 2022 Bolt ordered fender skirt, gave credit card. No tracking # sent & fender skirt was NOT SHIPPED, hello JASON PENROD@ GMPARTS, send my skirt or give a refund!
