Tried to return a part that was never installed. I tried multiple times using the sites instructions for returns and never received a return authorization and never received a reply. Horrible customer service. I will never purchase from again. STAY CLEAR!

They asked for the VIn and still sent the wrong part and then wouldn't take a return even though I didn't removed it from packaging. Tried to tell me I made the mistake. Shipping costs $14 for an item the size of a the of an egg. I went to Amazon and found the part for $7 less and with free shipping. Don't use them; they suck. I was trying to establish a parts place for my small shop but won't use them ever again. Buyer beware. I'll leave a BBB review as well.

I purchased four items from this company for more than $350.00. One of the gm eom parts I received was defective. The parts chrome was peeling and was a piece of junk! That same day I received it I requested a return shipping label so I could replace it. It was refused. I tried calling but they will not answer but the recording refers to online customer service. There is no communication at all. I asked legitimate questions, politely. It is their choice to lose my business over $98.00, now it is my choice to tell gmpartsdirect to stop soliciting my business via email. Gmpartsdirect has photos of the damage.

Site failed when I tried to order a part. Site indicated that tehncial team was correcting a problem. No indication that my order went through. Next day I received an email that the part was ordered. I tried to cancel the order but they would not cancel. They charge $20 restocking fee to return part and want a lot of information. They try to make it very difficult to retun parts. Not customer focused. Despite their webite failure, tehy are determined to make a profit from me. They also doubled charged my credit card.
Don't do business with these people.

SCAMMER
February 13, 2020

If you place an order here, they will never ship the part nor answer your calls/emails. Then when you get tired of them and you cancel, they will immediately charge you 35% of order total. This is how they run the business and make money literally. No matter what reason you would not get your shipment, they will charge you 35% no matter what. ENJOY DEALING WITH THEM.

Very crooked... horrible shipping times. When you don't get your part after a week and it hasn't even shipped yet be prepared to pay 35% restocking fee to cancel the order.

I had previously ordered parts from them and no problems. I ordered parts in November 2019 and fully understand all the GM strike ramifications, but we are way past that. On numerous occasions they said the parts came in and shipping just has to send them out. Everytime I finally get someone to answer the phone, they say they will call back or put me on hold just to hang up. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORSE PARTS COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH - overall rating needs to go into negative numbers! 1 star is giving them too much credit!

Tried calling at least 20 times was able to get through once and talk to a live body. However, I was told that they would send a return form via my email which they seemed to see in their system; however, nothing was ever sent. I have sent them two emails providing the invoice information and my phone and email again, but no response. The return form on their site is not available via a browser. There is a link, but it somehow switches to a feedback page. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PROVIDING GOOD SERVICE.

It Is A Scam
December 8, 2021

So stupefyingly hideous is the Gmpartsdirect.com experience, you'll need to bathe in 10 gallons of disinfectant, get a full-body scrub and shampoo with vinegar to remove the scummy residue that remains after buying a part from Gmpartsdirect.com experience. It is a scam.

Purchased a bolt from Gmpartsdirect.com. Single bolt. Was charged - ready? - $2 for the bolt and $20 "shipping." For a 2-ounce, 1-1/2" piece of metal that would fit in a normal #10 business envelope.

Anyway, Gmpartsdirect.com sent the wrong bolt - say by a mile. Not even close.

Thus, the ambush began.

After several e-mails, back and forth, Gmpartsdirect.com, without ever admitting error, finally agreed to accept return of the wrong item. BUT, for the first time, Gmpartsdirect.com revealed that it does not refund shipping charges – even if it shipped the wrong part. Their mistake. You pay.

Wait. Wait. There's still some chicken on that bone. Even if Gmpartsdirect.com ships the wrong item, it charges the customer a "restocking fee" IF it agrees to a return. Yep. Their "mistake." You pay. You eat the artificially bloated "shipping" charge AND a mysterious "restocking" fee. Gmpartsdirect.com is coldly efficient for what it is. But what it is - is a scam. Full stop.

Really Bad
January 24, 2018

This was by far the most horribly experience I have ever had with getting parts. I have been a mechanic since 1985, that's over 32 years. I have ordered parts from everyone on the web. I ordered my parts on 1-13-18, today is 1-24-18, I have nothing yet, that's 12 days. While I have one vehicle sitting broken down waiting on parts. I did some research and come to find out, these GM parts look like they are in their warehouse when you are on their website, but in reality they are not. Once you place an order, they have to go out and find your parts from multiple locations around the US, ship them into their place of business in NC, then re-package them, put them on the slowest UPS shipping available (that we paid for). Top it all off, they never said that I would have to sign for the parts so I now find out that UPS came yesterday, and left with my parts as there was no one home. Who has you sign for auto parts? Really? I am pretty sure that when the Circus left town they left these people to run this company. This was my first and last order with them. Trust me when I tell you the deeper discount(s) is not worth it, when I can get this same stuff off of Rock Auto, ebay and Amazon for a few more dollars and have my parts 2 to 4 days and 9 times out of 10 free shipping.

They sent wrong item. After 17 calls the first day finally got someone who said they would file ticket. 72 hours later and 22 calls later, numerous additions to their ticket system and still not sure what to do with the wrong rim. They will not take care of anything. I needed the rim not having to fight for days and still receive no response. I would NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS CORRUPT PLACE!

Ordered a replacement coolant hose on June 24. Paid $16.71 for shipping. Order did not ship until June 30. Order did not arrive until July 2. Vehicle was not operable without the hose. I found one locally because of how long it took for my GMpartsdirect order to arrive. I sent GM Parts Direct an email on July 2 asking for a refund. I received no reply. I then went to their website and submitted a customer support ticket, asking for a refund. I was never contacted by the company. Ten days later they marked my ticket as "closed", without ever contacting me or issuing the requested refund. I opened a second customer service ticket online. Several days later, this ticket was also marked as "closed". I was never contacted regarding my second ticket, and never issued a refund. Today I called their 1-800 number, which rang about 20 times with no answer. I left a voicemail message, even though I was calling during normal business hours. I received no call back.
After one email, two customer support help desk tickets, and a voicemail, I have received NO communication from this company whatsoever. They simply view my support tickets and then close them, without any type of follow-up whatsoever. INSANELY unprofessional customer service. I will never buy parts from them again. Buyer beware!

On 16 January I ordered a $600.00 catalytic converter (plus paid almost $100.00 for expedited two-day shipping) for my truck. On 22 January the part still had not shipped. Since the part was for my primary vehicle, I found the part locally and installed it. I went to the gmpartsdirect.com website and opened a help ticket requesting cancellation of the order, and got a reply email that my request had been received and was being processed. Seven days later on 29 January I got a notification from FEDEX that the part was shipped on 28 January and would be delivered 29 January. I promptly called flow chevrolet, the owners of the gmpartsdirect.com website, and asked them why my order was not cancelled. The rep apologized and said that they were a small company and sometimes the staff was unable to process all of the incoming email in a timely manner. I told her I was not going to accept delivery of the part (a signature was required). She said that was fine when they received the part back they would return my payment minus shipping and a restocking fee of 25%. The expedited original shipping plus the return shipping plus the 25% restocking fee amounted to almost $300.00. I asked her why the company would not accept responsibility for their failure to cancel the order promptly and she said their return restocking fees and shipping policies are in effect no matter what the reason for the return. BUYER BEWARE!

Bad Business
August 26, 2021

Ordered a part for my Chevy van from this company. Paid $206.00 for it. Chose standard shipping having ordered many times with many companies and have always received thise in a reasonable amount of time. Tracked my package. It took 8 days to go from Parts Direct in N. C. to Minnesota. It took over two weeks total to get my part. When it finally arrived, it was the wrong part. Tried calling Parts Direct a dozen times. They "Do Not" answer their phones, period After a long time ringing you get a message from the "Internet Dept.", to leave a message. I left many messages explaing my need to return the part in exchange for the " correct" part. Sent them emails. They have not ever returned my calls or responded in any way.

If you want to through your money away, this is the perfect company to do it with. Once they get your money you no longer exist. If you think i exaggerate call their number *******046) and see for your self. Also there are other websites with slightly different names that I suspect are the same company. Don't order parts from companies that won't take your calls or the same thing will happen to you.

Better shopping local
September 27, 2018

I ordered a bezel latch for my Z71 console-- AND paid for 2 day shipping. I received an email stating order processed and N/A for ETA--WTF? The part was $21.74 and 2 day shipping brought it to $59+ Since their website has no way of checking on status I emailed and called, leaving a message. Meanwhile I called my local Chevy dealer- they could get the latch in next day with no additional cost and part was only $35 including tax.
When GMPD called me back I asked how to find out if it was being shipped and ETA-- and was rudely told "you only ordered it a day ago-we have to order it and when we receive it, your TWO DAY shipping begins". SERIOUSLY?
I said cancel it at that time, called the local dealer back and got a call the next morning that the part was already in! If we could give negative stars we would!

BUYER BEWARE! So I needed a part for my Corvette and the local shops didn't carry it. So I went online and I thought we found it although a bit more expensive but I had no choice, showed that it was "in stock" but it still took several weeks to get it. Unfortunately, it was the wrong part but we didn't know because there weren't any illustrations or site diagrams on the part we needed (drivetrain related). Once we got it and opened the box we quickly realized it was wrong so we needed to return it. Submitted a return request and it took a few weeks to get that approved. They initially weren't going to refund the core until I made mention of it and then Kris Griffin replied and said they would adjust the AR to reflect the core and send me a return slip for the part. The email literally mentioned the entire initial amount but said I wouldn't be able to recoup the shipping charges which was fine with me, but never mentioned that I would be charged any restocking fee at all. Once the return was completed and processed that was when I was told there was a restocking fee. If you go look at their return policy it also doesn't make any reference to a 35% restocking fee either so I never thought that was going to be an issue at all but boy was I wrong! I own a few businesses so I understand the restocking fee but it's usually only 10% - 20% at max and it's always disclosed upfront! This wasn't the case in this situation. Never again will deal with them and I encourage everyone else to do the same!
