Buyer beware
August 19, 2022

Don't shop here or any gm website unless it's the official gmc website unless you want to be robbed. Ordered a pair of leaf springs for my 2011 gmc after shipping and tax it came out to around $550. Order number was never sent. Won't answer your calls or emails. The parts never came and they triple charged my account over $1600. Absolute crooks.

Buyer Beware!
July 23, 2020

I ordered a fuel pump 1 yr 2 months ago and paid $1000. I had the pump install by Chevy Dealership. My trucks service light turned on and truck struggled to turn over. I had truck looked at. Same Chevy dealership. Code came back fuel pump is bad. A fuel pump should not go bad in just a year. So I tried contacting company for warranty options. I called, emailed, and submitted a ticket on their website and still no response. My next step is contacting the BBB. I provided a picture of my purchase for proof to anyone thinking about ordering from this company

They only want your money
September 12, 2017

I emailed this company about a specific question upon receiving their product and I still haven't received an answer. Had to call a local dealership for the answer and then when I was going to send the core, which they charged $40 extra for, back to them. Their return form states only GM products are accepted. If they had stated this in their purchasing procedure, I would have used a different company.

100% Perfect

Placed two separate orders on Jan 3rd. I then read some reviews and got worried - which i did backwards this time. Anyway tried to call with no luck of anyone answering the phone. They surely need to do better on this aspect of online ordering. However, I sent a email to customer service and Floyd responded to my concerns very quickly. The first order was at their facility and being shipped out as soon as possible. Floyd told me the second order would take additional 7-10 being shipped to their facility and then would be shipped out to me. Well I tell ya i wasn't very happy the second order was taking so long but it is what it is. Long story short. My first order was delivered in 3 days and the second order was delivered the next day. Thank you FLOYD@ GM PARTS DIRECT for an excellent transaction.

Side note - I see a lot of bad reviews. - The entire world just went thru a shutdown and now businesses are struggling in areas like shipping and service due to lack of employees and experience that wasn't caused by them. We need to have a little more understanding and compassion, because if the shoe was on the other foot i know i would want some. Thanks again GM PARTS DIRECT

I recently bought some bushings for my Impala, I did it with my VIN #, what they sent me does not correspond, to return them I have to pay 35% restocking and shipping and return freight, they do not favor the buyer, think carefully before buying from them, other GM parts act very different, I had to keep the parts so as not to lose money.

Ordered a windshield wiper motor. The cable housing was broken. When I asked to return the item the said no. I then quote their return policy on their web site and they are giving me the run around asking for pictures. I send pictures of the new item with the broken clip. Still want more pictures. Save your time, spend a few more dollars, and get your part from a company worth a crap.

The worst customer service I have ever seen, actually there is no customer service. I think this is a kid running a website out of his basement. Haven't spoke or received a return email from anyone in over 2 weeks. I have a truck bed cover damaged in shipping and they won't return calls or email. SCAM!
Don't waste your money like I did, not sure how they stay in business. If I would have done some research they would not have gotten my money. My fault for not doing my research!
Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY!

Lots of information online. If you need someone to provide information that you can't find on their website, forget it. No one answers the online sales phone or emails. The parts guys at Flow Automotive won't help and will direct you to the online department that doesn't return calls.

I've ordered 5 times from GMPartsDirect (which is really Flowauto)
The parts take a while to come but they do come.
The larger problem is the customer service is limited.
They won't answer questions on parts, and the instant it ships they stop answering calls.

I ordered parts this last time and they sent me older parts that were deprecated.
I can't get an explanation from them on that.

It's not a great feeling installing an obsolete part.

Horrible communication

Ordered wheel studs 10 days ago have been trying to get a tracking number for my order. I have called several times emailed them 4 or 5 times with no response. Sent a email to cancel order and still no reply. Very shadey I wouldn't recommend ordering from them.

I ordered a set of front mud guards for my new 23 GMC Denali 3500. When I unpackaged them they appear to have almost the same exact dimensions as the factory mud guards. I contacted GM Parts Direct and in their return policy it states that if you don't provide a VIN number with your order you will be charged a 35% restocking fee. Nowhere during the purchasing process did I see this stated. I was charged over 27.00 for shipping and 47.00 for the mud guards and I would only be credited back 30.00 for the return plus I would have to pay for shipping again. Needless to say I will just keep the mud guards and learn my lesson. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

I placed an order which was canceled shortly after they charged my card and submitted confirmation number claiming that their algorithm flagged a suspect IP address. This is nonsense! Why didn't it flag the the order before I submitted? I believe they didn't want to honor the price for the part.

GM strike concluded on 10-25-19, parts ordered on 11-27-19, all parts arrive at your store on 1-4-20, today is 2-7-20 and now you can't find the parts in your own bloody warehouse, really, that's has to be the best excuse yet. Whose the ring master and where are the clowns? I'm done. Story after excuse after story after excuse as to why you are to inept to perform a service you're actually advertising for. I actually believe you have a business model around cancelled orders, this way you get to charge 'restocking fees'. I have to wonder what the parts managers annual bonus comes to... I can only surmise that it equals the annual restocking fees that you generate.

Placed 2 orders with this company. First order worth $344 shipped without incident within 10 days. Placed 2nd order just 2 weeks later for $129 and have been waiting for 42 days. I was given a BS response that my address wasn't verified through PayPal and it was a high dollar order. There is no verification. Then a message that we're sorry. Will ship in 3-5 days. That was 10 days ago. Try to talk to someone, good luck. They will NOT speak to you. Will NOT return calls or emails. I reached out to them 3 times by phone and email with no response. I stumbled into a response by signing into my account and that's were I found the BS excuse. Terrible organization. Will NEVER order from them again. Do yourself a favor and buy from someone else!

Never got my parts
February 8, 2020

Ordered steering wheel spoke covers for my '07 Avy on Dec 26. Backordered for almost a month. Finally got an email with a FedEx tracking number Jan 21 saying it shipped and they billed my credit card. The parts were delivered Jan 25 in a box much larger than what I was expecting. Inside the box was a used car seat cushion and a cover for it that are shown in the picture. Unbelievable, I was a bit po'd to say the least. I'm sure it was some sort of a joke they can't be that stupid. I used Paypal and disputed it. They gave GMparts 10 days to respond. No response so I got full refund to my credit card two days later. Go elsewhere for parts they do not want to do business.

Doesn't ship or answer emails or phone calls

I placed an order on 6/28/2022. As of today 8/8/2022 the order is still listed as "in progress" for items that were all listed as "in stock" on the website. I emailed, sent in a support ticket, and called with no answer. I left a voicemail that has not been returned. I have no way to cancel the order on the website. I had to go with another vendor to get the parts I needed. Terrible customer service.

My order I placed 30 days ago I've been calling weekly for an update and on this last phone call they said they were waiting for one last part. They then informed me that they would not overight it even though they've had my order for 30 days and my money for 30 days! This place is a rip off if you want to wait over a month for parts definitely order from this place! You've been warned. It's a complete joke! Crappy service and absolutely 0 updates through the process! We've had a work truck torn down for over 30 days and the customer needs his truck!
