I found your company when I googled "sell used makeup". So glad I found you guys. I work for a manufacturer and have access to a lot of the makeup that can't be sold in regular retail stores because of minor imperfections, out dated packaging, etc. Because of this, I need to sell anonymously. I love that you allow sellers to do that. Disclosure- I'm posting this under a friend's account. Just wanted to help get the word out about your wonderful service!

Sold high end makeup to Glambot successfully in the past. Made almost $100 on 36 items! Only glitch was my first packaged appeared to take 22 days to arrive. San Fran postal worker confirmed that the ship to address they're using is not a physical building. Sketchy, but it eventually arrived and I got paid. Sent a box of 24 gently used items plus a few samples on 10/5. Got low ball offer of $7; number of items and rejects weren't specified. I sent three emails asking for clarify. To date, no one has responded. No phone number is listed. Horrible customer service. Glambot scams people for free makeup.

Hi Emma! Thanks so much for leaving your thoughtful review. Yes, privacy and confidentiality is very important to some of our sellers. I can totally relate and understand the need to keep one's online dealings, confidential. Really awesome that you are sharing your experience so that others can discover the service we offer.

Second hand Fashion via clothing and accessories has been around forever, so it's about time that Beauty also follows. I have some girlfriends who buy and own A LOT of makeup. Most of the time, they use a palette a few times and then it just ends up sitting around. Now, we can sell the makeup we don't use all the time and make some money from it. We'll probably end up buying more makeup with the cash though, haha. Oh wells. But I definitely think they're on to something here!

Definitely do you reading and research before you send in a package. There is a minimum to sell and they only my accept certain types and brands. Kind of a lot of information. I did not do my research, so I got a cash offer less than what I was expecting- better than nothing though. I now know what's up and will probably send another box in soon.

Hi Kelly! Thank you for sharing your Glambot selling experience with others. Those are indeed some useful tips that you mention in your review. Not sending in the minimum amount of items (15) and not sending in accepted brands (https://www.glambot.com/sell#brands) are the two most common mistakes made by first time sellers :)

I'm very much into makeup and all the new product releases. I think makeup is my favorite accessory. I've sold a few times- I think I've sent in about 4 boxes over the past 6 months. It's a great way for me to manage my collection and not feel so bad about buying the newest releases. If you aren't in it to make money but more so want to get rid of last seasons line, this is the perfect selling service to use!

Hi Sally! I agree that makeup can be pretty addictive- maybe even more addictive than clothing, if you ask the right person! Amazing that you are a repeat seller- love meeting people like you, who really appreciate the value that we have to offer. Selling to Glambot is a great way to recoup some cash and keeping up on the new trending makeup!

Free shipping label! Wow I was impressed that they offered a FREE shipping label to send your items in. Seems like minimal risk since they will also send your items back to you (for the cost of shipping) if you don't accept their sell offer. It's a lot of instructions to read re. The requirements for selling to them, but I think it's worth a try. I'm preparing my box of makeup this weekend! #weekendGoals

Hi Leah! We understood from taking initial surveys, that people felt a bit uneasy to send their makeup in for the first time. This is totally understandable. After taking what was said into account, we decided to make the process of sending in makeup easier by providing a free shipping label. Yes, it's an initial cost for us to endure, but it seemed like a very important perk to offer to sellers. We have a lot of instructions in efforts to help guide sellers to get the most money for the makeup they send in. We know it's a lot to read, but it's intended to help!

My first time to sell to Glambot. Had a huge collection of NARS, Urban Decay plus other brands which I was never going to use anymore. Never believed they would come through with the promised offer of $60 but they did. I recommend them

Hi Daphney! Thanks for leaving such a candid review- I'm sure it will be useful to others. Glad that you decided to give us a try for the first time. Great that you checked our list of accepted brands and sent in qualifying brands not doing so is a common mistake made by first time sellers. I hope we surpassed your expectations and can serve you again soon!

I've tried selling and even swapping makeup in some of the makeup communities online (e. Reddit, FB, etc). But Glambot just makes it a lot easier. Although I maybe could have gotten more money in those groups, it would have been ten times the work and hassle. Will be selling again soon. Thanks Guys!

Hi! Thanks for leaving such a useful review for others to learn from. Yes, there are other makeup selling and swapping forums but Glambot does provide a level of safety and accountability that those online forums do not. Unfortunately, not everyone online has the best of intentions when dealing with goods or money. I'm glad that we were an easy and convenient solution for your makeup selling needs. Hope to see another box of makeup from you soon :)

This is every makeup junkie's perfect solution! Wish I had learned about Glambot earlier in my years of being knee-deep in makeup. I used to gift my unwanted makeup to my friends and young cousins, but I don't think they appreciate it as much as they should! Hahah. Now I'm just gonna send in my makeup and get a little bit of spending cash. Yayyy!

I work in beauty retail and my coworker told me about this company. She has sold a few times before. I thought it was a great idea- especially since we get so much makeup to test so we can make recommendations to customers. There are only a few mainstay items that use on a daily basis (and only so many shades of eyeshadow and lipstick that I feel comfortable rocking) so being able to sell was a real life saver. I even send in high quality items that they don't accept since I figure they'll make better use of it than me. Great idea!

Did send in some pressed powder palettes and bottled foundation. I was tolde they could only give me a bonus since the product arrived but in bad condition because my packaging wasn't good. Wasn't so impressed but they emailed me with a thorough explanation and screenshot of the package. I give them the benefit of doubt

Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

HI Marie- Thanks for being so understanding. I'm glad that our Customer Service team was able to successfully communicate why we had to give an offer less than you expected. Makeup is a bit of a tricky thing to pack- if not done correctly, pressed powder and glass bottles/jars will arrive damaged. I'm sure the next time around, you'll be able to pack your makeup like a pro!

I don't have that much experience selling things online. I tried once before on Facebook Marketplace but it was a turn off because random people were reaching out to me. There were not really serious and were asking a lot of questions that they could have answered themselves if they actually read the listing. The thing that aggravated me was the constant haggling! Ok end of vent there. Glambot was a great alternative because you sell directly to them and they are a legit professional business. It's like giving your makeup to Goodwill but you get cash back! So glad I found them online. Once my makeup stash builds up again, I will be sending out another box for sure!

Thumbnail of user sarat139
Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

Hi Charlotte! I totally agree with you that there are some major downsides when trying to sell directly to another person online. Not everyone is serious about buying and it's hard to get people to read instructions. If you have a lot of listings live at once, you can waste a lot of your precious time answering redundant questions and dealing with not-so-serious buyers. Glad that you found out about us!

Crossroads for makeup. If I could sell my used makeup with my clothes, I would! Until that happens, I've been using Glambot. There is a 20 item minimum, so watch out- just accumulate your items and send a box in every few months. It's pretty painless.

Inspite of the low price offer I got on my collection, I would still give them credit for a great sharing initiative and easy to use website. I received a free shipping label via USPS after 2 days and it was pretty easy for me to send in my sell page. My offer came through in 8 days. Should only get better.

I've sold on some other selling apps and I just wasn't impressed. It took a lot of time and potential buyers who were interested would send me messages all day- I just didn't have the time to keep up. The thing that urged me the most was that a lot of potential buyers would ghost me last minute- pfft. What a waste of time. I just sent in my first box so I'm very excited to get my offer from you. Have been checking my email everyday >.<

I've both bought and sold to this company. Although I understand buying is not for everyone- I think everyone could benefit from some extra spending cash to splurge on something. Especially if you weren't using the makeup anywhoo ;)

Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

Hi Mel! Wow, amazing to hear that you have both bought and sold to us before. Yes, buying and using pre-owned makeup (even though thoroughly checked and sanitized) is not for everyone. But you would be amazed how many people are open to the concept, especially once they've placed their order and they see the condition of the makeup. Let me assure you, our makeup does not look like the testers at the makeup counters. Sometimes the makeup seems unused! We look forward to your next sell package. Great way to be conscientious about the environment. Rather than throw good makeup in the trash, why not find it a new home and make some bucks in the mean time? :D

Hi! Yes, we like to think of ourselves as a green and eco friendly company as well. With our internal operations as well, we try to be an earth conscientious as possible. As we like to say, if it's makeup that you don't use anymore but would give it to a girlfriend, then send it our way and we'll find it a new home!

Very disappointing. I had 15 items of once or twice used/swatched items--A Givenchy palette, Nudestix pencils in tins, MAC shadows-etc. Again, barely used items. They offered me $12 for all 15 items. In declining, I had to pay to have my items returned to me. NEVER AGAIN

My cousin and I compared what we sent in and what we got paid in cash. She got a better payout because she sent in more palettes than I and also better brands. Looks like, the better makeup you send in then the better payout you will have!
I wish there was a known procedure of how they come up with offers

I've seen your ads on Facebook but did not know that you also buy makeup from the makeup community. Even though the makeup is used (and sanitized), I feel a lot more comfortable buying from the makeup community rather than that fake stuff from China. That fake makeup is poison for your eyes. I think you all in San Fran are doing a great service to the community. Big Hug :)

I wasn't impressed with their offer for my package. It was so meager for a lot of top brands I had sent in. I was told to pay $17 for shipping if I wanted my package returned. I decided to take the offer instead of spending more on something I didn't want. I really hope they start paying something reasonable

I used to work at the MAC counter at the nearby mall. Used makeup (if cleaned between uses) is really not that big of a deal. I've seen some testers out there that are A LOT worst than Glambot's products (I have ordered a few times before). We get a lot of Gratis items at MAC and also tend to end up buying a lot of makeup bc we have an employee discount. When I quit my job, I needed the extra cash, so Glambot was amazing for that. I don't think I'll need to sell again anytime soon, but I would use them again if I had to!

Thumbnail of user sarat139
Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

Hi! Wow, kudos to you being a past MAC beauty consultant. Yes, we thoroughly clean and sanitize all the makeup that comes in. Although used makeup is not for everyone- makeup artist and other professional do typically use used makeup on clients. If you are judicious about cleaning your makeup and tools in the proper way, makeup can be used repeatedly. Glad that we were able to help you make some money on all that makeup :)

I subscribe to several beauty subscription boxes. I love the variety of the items I get every month. Thing is, I like to sample and don't use everything, so I end up with a lot of barely used or even not used, makeup samples. Because some of the items are skincare or other types of creams, they won't stay good forever. My bathroom drawer would start to get really packed and I didn't have any space for my actual makeup. Plus, the clutter was too much to deal with. I learned about Glambot and how they buy used makeup and skincare. I requested a free shipping label and sent my stuff in. I didn't get too much cash in return, but it was better than nothing! Pretty satisfied and will send in another box of makeup and skincare within the next month or so. Thanks guys!

Thumbnail of user sarat139
Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

Hi Sophia! Beauty subscription boxes can be an amazing way to sample a lot of brands and products. I actually subscribe to 2 different ones, so I can relate to the bathroom "clutter" scenario. >.< I'm sorry that your cash offer wasn't what your heart desired, but samples or miniature sized items are not sold at the same price as full sized retail items, so in turn, the offer to a seller will be lower. Happy that you were satisfied overall and were able to clear out and organize afterwards :)

Sent in my first box of makeup to them last week. I got the email offer for my items within a day or so of my package reaching their facility. Because it was my first time selling, I was keeping an eye on my package's tracking. I probably sent in about $200 retail value worth of makeup, so I was a bit nervous about it. It took about 10 days for my package to be delivered to them. They must use basic parcel standard shipping (which I can understand because they pay for the shipping upfront). My offer was $90- I think that was pretty good considering that some of the items were somewhat used. I was expecting more but it's some spending cash for the weekend- so it's all good to me! Will share about them to my friends who could use their service.

Thumbnail of user sarat139
Sara T. – Glambotsell Rep

Hi Mia! Re. You sending in your first sell package- that's GREAT news. Our free shipping label does have updated tracking, making it a convenient way to check in on and track the movement of your package, online. 10 days is a bit longer than average for a sell package to arrive, but that might have been due to where you are located (ie. If you are located on the east coast since we are located in San Francisco). I wish we could give more cash for sell offers but we are in the re-sale/second-hand business. Another selling tip is the better brands and product you send in, the better your sell offer will be. Hope to see you send in another sell package soon and thanks for spreading the word! -xo
