Purchased item November 24,2020 for delivery date 12/04/20. Contacted Gilt, they only updated new shipping date with creation of label that same day. It is now December 08,2020 - no shipment movement of item in question. Worse service I've seen in year. Will not be back.
Unfortunately I had the worst customer service experience with this company. I purchased 6 T Shirts from there page and only received 5. After a month and endless e mails no resolution. Every time I e mailed them response was we will get back to you in 5 working days. It has been 20 working days. I am sure they have a happy customer base but when things go wrong they do not take any responsibility. Honestly it is not worth taking the risk
My problems with this site/company are two-fold. First, it is taking between 20-25 days for my order of a t-shirt to arrive after purchase. Second, when I emailed customer service about such a lengthy delivery time, it took them one week to respond. They also never addressed the issue/explained why it would take so long to deliver my shirt. Just told me how to find the estimated delivery time on my account page. I guess sluggishness runs rampant throughout the company...
Overpriced inferior products with excellent marketing and a horrible customer service! I remember the time when the site was first launched and it seemed great. Excellent customer service that balanced out the effect of getting hyped by overly marketed product that looked very far from what was pictured. Nowadays they'll give you a hard time returning even a broken item and it will be a credit note as if you would want to continue buying crap from them again... Stay away from all their ventures! I even had troubles redeeming their city vouchers and they simply try to distance themselves saying it's up to the vendor to accept the certificates! Buyer beware.
Some guy named Paul Meegan is the worst piece of garbage customer representative ever. This company has lost a valued member of the company, and the fact that they cannot accomodate their loyal customers says something about their poor business practices. My friends and family have all stopped buying from them, some of those who spend thousands of dollars a month.
Their no refunds policy is the worst I've ever experienced. EVERY other business is able to make exceptions, why can't they? And the previous reviews were right, they often send you the wrong item, and don't even give you a discount. Sometimes their deals are even more expensive than if you bought it directly from the store! What a joke and scam of a company. Buyers, beware.
I have been shopping at Gilt for years and haven't really had any problems. I order quite frequently and have used many coupon codes. I will say sometimes maybe like 3 times it didn't work but I am 95% satisfied - I have bought gifts shipped to families and they have like all of them. On the other hand some of what was said here I experienced at rue la la so I can understand the frustration of cancelled orders etc. Actually my orders ship very quickly - I don't know if being a Noir member makes a difference
I have been a gilt customer for years spending way more than I should. They are great until you need to return an item. Recently ordered expensive ruby and turquoise earrings. Nothing in the description indicated that the rubies were slices. Big surprise when they came in the mail. This is illegal! But even worse it renders the earrings worthless. Next stop for me is my lawyer. Why would a company jeopardize their relationship with a good customer. Makes no sense
Gilt ultimately took back the earrings. I thought I was receiving a refund... but of course it was for store credit.
To be fair I got some decent prices on some cute stuff for my toddlers. Ordered a lot. Spent a lot. Achieved premier status... but the love affair is over. Their referral program is a joke. They don't follow through when you solicit for them you don't get your credit. They come up with excuses. Their customer service just sucks in a nutshell. Don't even bother because they're right no matter what. I've been sold now on sticking with my old go too Nordstrom rack and sacks off fifth. Prices are just as good and customer service is miles above. Seems Nordstrom and Saks appreciate their customers.
I am a long term customer, and never had problems with my orders or items. They sell great brands for great prices, items arrive quickly, packed very well. Taking one star off because the shipping is a bit high for some items. I would order more often, especially kids clothes, if it didn't cost me $5 to ship a baby shirt or a pair of earrings. May be a longer free shipping period, 1 day instead of 1 hr? Other than that - love, love, love!
SCAM. Horrible customer service. Bait and switch promotion tactics. And, their whole inventory/shipping system is in crisis. Once they have your money, they could care less about you as a customer. It's true what people are saying!
I was a loyal regular guilt customer until now. I have purchased Burberry boots and wore them once for 30 min the stitching between the zipper and leather part came out creating a whole. Can't wear, can't be repaired, expensive luxury brand. Called customer service and they don't care because it is a final sale item. I spend a lot of money on this site, they won't do anything, very rude. Shocked and disappointed. Bye bye Guilt.com
I have purchased amazing name brands at great prices. I have also had a few hiccup with some orders, but Gilt Customer Service either fixed or refunded me. I do understand every experience will not be be perfect, specifically with more people choosing online shopping (pandemic). 4 out of 5 for ME!
If you go on their mobile app, a lot of the sales say "Additional 40% off". Unfortunately it is only true to a max $$ amount, usually $50 or $75. No where I can find is there fine print that states this... Used to be a great site to get great deals, now it is close to being a scam site with most items non-returnable for any reason. Designer sizes vary so much it is not worth the risk...
This happened to me before since I order from them a lot. Last year they screw up, so this year I have placed the order in November, guess what, they screw up again, 1 out of 2 orders is still not shipped, another one was shipped too late and I haven't received it yet. It takes 25 minutes to get customer service representative who is doing nothing but apologizing. Don't buy from them if you can't wait 6 weeks for your order.
I have been a excellent customer and ordered many things from Gilt. I just received an email that charges me $1800. 00 for goods I had in my cart but did not order! I have waited 48 minutes so far for someone to answer with customer service! Never again will I buy from them. Something has happened to their business and is no longer reputable... Go to another site to send your money
Don't recommend buying from them. Recently purchased a Saint Laurent Baby Niki shoulder bag on Gilt.com. Logo, stitching and hardware didn't feel right so I had it authenticated by Authenticate First. Came out to be a counterfeit. Contacted customer service right away trying to get a refund. They wanted to charge me for returning the item at first. I asked them why? Is it my problem you sent me fake item? At the end, they decided to email me a complementary return label in 3-5 business days (again, why so long? But I will wait...)
My purchased item was ordered on Dec 1 with delivery promised before Christmas. They changed the shipment date without informing me to well after Christmas. After numerous inquiries they lied and said the item had shipped and would arrive in a few days, but it had not. As it stands I still haven't received the order or the refund and its too late to order something from reliable sources like Amazon. Gilt has been exceptional in one thing... flooding my email with endless marketing solicitations.
Do yourself a favor... Whatever Gilt sells... Find it on Amazon and live happy.
Whoever worked on this new site layout and functionality should be fired, it's the worst retail website I've seen in decades. They won't accept credits, gift cards, no saving items for later, no quick looks / previews, no comparison shopping, the check out process info capture is incomplete and the notification of order receipt is delayed... the whole thing is a disaster, much worse than the old site (or any site for that matter).
I ordered 4 outdoor chaise lounges and was given a date range during which time they would be delivered. I called and requested delivery information towards the end of that period (over 2 weeks) and there were tracking numbers with no activity. I attempted to find out the reason for the delay and I was told that it would take 2-5 days to get an answer from the manufacturer. They sell products from companies they do not even have the ability to pick up the phone and call apparently. I requested a cancellation plus refund and I was told that also would take 3-5 days. There is a hold on my credit card even though they haven't shipped the items. Totally deceptive and pointless. I could have ordered the same chaise lounges or similar and they would have arrived by now but after dealing with the customer service realized it would be too much difficulty trying to get truthful, accurate answers in any reasonable amount of time.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I ordered two pieces of expensive furniture from them and the pieces were MONTHS delayed, without even so much as a heads up. I called no less than 7 times trying to expedite or at least learn what the timing was, as I was incurring major construction delays because of this. They never did anything to help, didn't return calls, and did nothing to make up for my negative experience... or the fact that the promised dates on their website were never met. Total nightmare!

Answer: DO NOT purchase from Gilt! They state they "stand behind the authenticity" of their products. THEY DO NOT! I paid $975.96 for a LV handbag. Later, (after the 30 day refund policy) it started falling apart. Found out it was a fake. Gilt will not exchange or do anything to correct this. It's horrible customer service.
