I have cancelled my subscription through the site after a few days into the trial, but the cancelation must have not been processed properly by your team. I don't know if this is a website malfunction or an intentional fradulent action on your part, but judging on the comments on trustpilot I am not the only one who had this issue. My cancelation has only been processed after you already invoiced me for the annual plan. I am thus asking to rectify this on your part.
Regards,
Darek
They offer NOTHING and steal your money!
They are tricksters that offer miserable ''concert opportunities'' at karaoke bars, pubs or huge looking festivals in Hungary or Poland that don't even pay so completely useless and for this crap they bind you in 1 year contract with the trap that you can cancel anytime yes but the contract is for 1 whole year so no you cannot cancel anytime and this is not even clearly explained BEFORE you sign up.
Needless to mention the inbox spamming about supposed opportunities that are not even running anymore when you click them or broken links are on the other side, then they run after you with finance companies when you wanna cancel and you refuse to pay. Seriously I am wondering how they haven't been sued or shut down yet. They deserve it.
I used the pro service for not even a month and after realised is not helpful at all I wanted to cancel, and now they force me to pay for a year. This is pure. You cannot force someone to use the service if it doesnt like, there must be a probabtion period for the client to decide if actually wants to use the service.
His is the worst misleading website I have ever encountered in my life. Total scam, total ripoff. I signed up with my band for a free trial month. But at some point I must have misclicked and suddenly 140 EUR was taken off my Paypal account. After contacting I was told that there was no way I could get a refund for the subscription I did not want. I want to warn everyone: Do NOT use Gigmit!
I signed up, decided not to go for a pro account rightaway, I want to know what I'm using before going pro, even if just with a trial.
Turns out my suspicion was correct. I signed up for a gig, and looked around some more. Every other gig I tried to sign up for, gave me a paywall, that forced me to go Pro, or at least try out Pro with the free trial, before being able to continue, even for gigs that weren't highlighted or pro only.
The fact that this service tries to force you so badly into taking a subscription, is a red flag already. I highly doubt I'll be using this service in the future.
I did a trial of a month, was a pro trial, and 5 days before the month was over i decide to not pay for a pro account because due the month i apply for everything what was possible and got no answers at all, not even a no! So i want to delete my account, and that evn can't because you got to send a mail to them:-D So i did... Got no answers at all, and couple off days after i got a message from my paypal there was payd 22,99$ to them! No i blocked payment trough paypal account, now i'm waiting whats gonna happen in the future... Anyway, big scam!
Gigmit does not provide you any services they pretend to provide. There is no traffic, nothing happens. Very user unfriendly designed
Avoid that. You pay for one year 19 € per month. Then….
Nothing.
Most of the gigs are in Germany, some in England. But most of them, no gatjering no travel and you mist play for free. Or sometimes you can get 50€. So you can pay your travel, food, and accomodation to play for free. Exactly what musician hate. Beiing used by mother f***ers to sell their beers and make monney easy. I regret gigmit. This is not respectuous. Really i hope they re gonna collaps fast. Thieves
I wanted to try gigmit pro, they gave me a 14 day trial, forgot to unsubscribe, payed 1 month sure my mistake. And now I realize im subscribed for a YEAR. Ridiculous stuff. Terrible website.
Gigmit has the possibility to become a very bright business for the music industry! Looking forward to how it will grow, so far my experience was great!
Thanks for your feedback; it is much appreciated!
Good website, got booked with my band for several shows here. Had to apply a lot but overall I feel they are helpful and offer gigs and access to venues and festivals.
We appreciate the time you took to share your feedback Cornelia!
The tool is way too expensive. Offers do not match our needs. Often because of the genre, type of event, restricted to local bands etc.
What a SCAM! I subscribed in good faith that I was on a trial subscription and when I requested cancellation within the allotted trial period my request was TOTALLY IGNORED. They took two payments before I noticed and WILL NOT REFUND and despite many, many emails and support issues raised NO RESPONSE! Do NOT use this service!
Hi Peter, Really sad to hear that. Being musicians ourselves, we totally respect every request that gets in our support inbox.
There is a 100% response rate and no such thing as ignorance. Are you sure you used the right email?
Please find also lots of helpful information on our blog and FAQ section: blog.gigmit.com
I want to state here that I really like what those guys do. I got gigs internationally with the service and all the actions they do to support artists and get them out there are really cool.
Thanks, Mitchell! You made our day! We really appreciate your review!
Edit: I've been contacted by the support staff of Gigmit eventually, the issue is resolved and my debt has been cleared.
In 2019 I'd subscribed to its Pro service which meant paying a monthly fee for a year without a chance of getting out. This was fine, I knew the terms and conditions then and I knew what I was signing up for.
However after the covid pandemic struck, in 2020 April, I wrote them a mail asking to "freeze" my account. Mind you "freeze" not "cancel". This meant that I wanted to continue my subscription after the pandemic ended. I knew that this was not in their terms and conditions but because of the pandemic -this is very important- their service became something that they cannot promise to provide.
In August 2020 they automatically extended my subscription for another year without my consent or my knowledge. A month ago I received a mail from a company called Creditreform, which is a debt collecting company, threatening me to pay the unpaid Gigmit fee. I was shocked to see that my subscription had been extended another year and now there's a pile of debt that I cannot afford.
In my opinion, last year Gigmit should already have let their customers cancel their subscription who wanted out, after we all realized that this pandemic was here to stay. This was the right thing to do anyway.
I never write reviews about any company but I felt I had to write a review about gigmit.
This is a German based company and I have never seen one gig in or around London on their platform. They are tricking musicians into paying fortunes for nothing back. I have cancelled my membership and will not be paying ANYMORE TO THIS COMPANY! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM
Well we've never had any kind of response from anyone. If we had we might have moved on to pro but without any response we are not confident in what the service can provide.
I had an issue or bug at gigmit and send an email to the support team. They helped me fast and in a friendly way. You can feel that they are honest and simply a good team behind that product.
Thank you, Steven! You made our day! Keep up using gigmit and of course we are always happy to help!
So far I have been with Gigmit for two/three months now and have not had any communication from artists on this platform. I have messaged artists in my area and region with no reply from any of them. I have applied for gig at a very low rate, even saying I will find my own accommodation but again no response apart from one who rejected me. Just coming off the back of be being an artist with Universal records who has headlined at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, played at Party in the park to 8000 people in Dubai and worked on Dance FM - The radio station that is aired across the UAE playing the best in dance / house music I find it extremely funny that I have had no personal correspondence. This site has disgruntled me in the sense that no one communicates and I feel it has been a complete waste of money. I will see what this year brings with international work and then decide on if I will stay with Gigmit in 2024. When I go onto the platforms landing page its says I have a a number of artist page reviews but when I go to the numbers it is only me who has viewed my page and no one from this site regarding artists or promoters. So this is an inaccurate number.
Most if the gigs I'm sent are too far away or not in my field of music. If I try to use the search I can find something... but I have to go Pro to apply
Answer: Just did a research, Simon and found actually many paid gigs. Probably depends in which country you are.
Answer: I am disgusted by this feedback here. I am the CEO of gigmit, a company in business for 9 years 100% compliant with all legal aspects and fully transparent on its business model. Gigmit is a freemium service and you can use a lot of its features for free. There is a team of 10 people supporting artists on a daily basis to get more shows. Not just PRO users, also free users. We offer our service for all. My team is 100% committed, musicians and promoters themselves. They do it to support art and artists. Our PRO service is an annual contract paid monthly. Why? A) Booking takes time and does not work within a month. B) Musicians do not have much money which is why it is to be paid monthly. Luckily the feedback here of 17 people represents 0.01% of our community. By the way, our support staff works weekdays and our average response time is less than a day. I do not know where this fairytale of no support is coming from.
gigmit has a rating of 1.8 stars from 131 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. gigmit ranks 894th among Music sites.
This review seems to be a bad joke and definitively no real product experience. Unfortunately Sitejabber does allow dishonest reviews.
