Hey there, I was curious how it works and honestly im not satisfied. In case if u pay the subscription you only appear on a list with more djs. I don't know, this platform helping novice artists or is for big artists who already have gigs?
I want to like gigmit. You have a great "vibe" and attitude. But I have to say the free account is pretty much useless. One application per month would be ok (and fair considering it is free) but everything that I would potentially apply for is restricted to PRO only. If there are PRO only gigs, they should not be shown to non PRO customers.
Also the algorithm for matching musicians to gigs is not up to speed. I have been sent "invitations" for pop music videos or festivals in Chicago. There should be a way to limit invitations to particular geographies or musical styles.
Hope you work on these things. Otherwise, I dont (yet) see the sense or value of Gigmit.
The idea is good! A platform where you can apply for gigs all around Europe. Great! I want that...
But then when you want to apply, the application itself is stuffed behind a premium account?! What the flipping hell?! That's you're basic product, you don't put that behind a premium account... What kind of rippoff is this - that's a scam - That would basically be the same for a Soundcloud to put any upload behind their premium account...
We have a Belgium platform doing exactly the same, offering a platform to apply for gigs (vi.be) they don't put it behind a premium account. It is free for use!
I'm a reasonable man, maybe 10 euro's for a couple of months won't harm me... I can/will see how it wil evolve, but more than a 100 € for an entire year? That's a 'no go' for me! What kind of utter **** is that
Great site helping artists like myself to find the right gigs and connect with promoters. They have a super useful PRO feature called the venue database allowing you to contact multiple venues and filter by city, genre, etc. Their customer support is great too, they really do their best to onboard artists well in order for them to find gigs. Would recommend!
These scammers got my details from somewhere and opened an account in my name. The first I heard of this was when "Valerie" from Gigmit emailed me to demand payment for a subscription. I informed them I had never had an account with them and asked them to remove my details from their site. Three years later I'm being contacted by a debt collector demanding 200 euros for unpaid subscription fees! How are they allowed to get away with this?
Started performing as a House DJ back in 2004. Initially was invited by friend promoters who have been arranging over 10 private gigs monthly. I would also record the studio mixes for several local radio stations.
Since 2008 started playing at the bars, cafes and restaurants with deeper and more commercial selection of the House Music.
After moving to the UK was mainly playing at the pubs around Bristol, London, Leeds and Nottingham.
Big House Head, constantly updating my library, both on vinyl and of course digital. Can use literally any industry standard equipment.
Hello Andrei. Thanks a lot for leaving us this review, we are happy to hear that you are satisfied with gigmit! Live music is our passion, and positive feedback from artists like you is keeping us inspired to make the booking process as frictionless as possible. Good luck! The Stage is Yours!
So far the only "gig" offers we've had have been either in the wrong country (!} Or not actually gigs but sign ups for other services. Utterly useless
I'm kind of neutral about it yet cause didn't have any chance to make any deal for any gig here.
However I can probably say that there are way too many offers just for those who have a Pro subscription.

Being a user for a few months I want to share that I am impressed about the new festivals that are offered on gigmit every week. So far I didn't know most of them and it is great to discover them. I signed up for the pro service which is great cause you can apply to all of them. Please continue with that, guys!
Thanks Olivia, you make our day! Please be assured we will work hard for you to find a continuously growing number of festivals and other performance opportunities on gigmit.
We are a Copenhagen based band, and there's not much venues in the database.
When trying to use the Gigmit website on my mobile phone, the UX is poor. I get errors when trying to edit the artist page.
It's unclear how much utility is the platform for an new band like mine. It seems the main metric to be scouted by promoters is SoMe followers and Spotify listens.
It'd be interesting to see in the platform, small venues or small operation booker's, who focus on new music, or who want to work with bands that have just started trying to get out there.
Artist, please don't make the mistake to sing up on gigmit, you will regret it, It's the biggest scam ever. Don't try it. I warn you, once signed up you are doomed, no getting out, They will lock your profile account with your photos and information, ask you for monthly payment while using your information to attract another artist to join. These guys are deadly. You can request cancellation with 1000 emails they won't respond but they will send you invoices and send lawyers to chase you for money. I already told my African music forums to stay away
The reviewer states that he has not used the product which is why we do not take this review seriously.
Gigmit has a 100% reply policy there are no such things as writing 1000 emails and not getting a response. I do not think here needs to be said more.
While researching several booking websites, I found this one. Having created many profiles at several platforms, I think the gigmit one is the best. Works mobile and on my laptop and looks really cool. I applied for many calls that they offer on their site and already got selected for 2 amazing opportunities. It really works well. I am loving it!
Yeah! Thanks so much! You made our our day! Have a look at our festival and venue database too when you login next time!
The site has a great potential but living in Italy I'm conscious that nobody will gig me for a foreign event if I won't pay the travel costs or the b&b one. Maybe I lost my money
I wanted to give no stars, but you cant do that. But one is honestly way too good! I am not that type of person that writes reviews, but this company is just pure **. If there is any way that we- all artists- could get together and fight our way through this $#*! contract, would be the only way to go with this situation! PLEASE don't subscribe!
I am absolutely happy that a platform like this exists. The gigmit team has been helpful setting up my account the right way and I just love what they are offering on the platform every day. Loads of gigs and opportunities. I don't understand the bad vibes.
Hi Liam, thank you very much for your feedback!
Can never find gigs at my location. You guys need an app. Bad. You should try finding gigs for bands in there city or town. And charge a very very small fee. I think this is great. Just needs a little work. If you need any help in any way. Would love to help. Thank you.
These are scammers who will take your money even if you do not use their services. Stay away from Gig Meats if your money is important to you. I have not received a single event. What I got was just a headache and the payment for the subscription from which I unsubscribed (and deleted the account), as well as the pursuit of the collection agency. I am sorry that I once found out about this fraudulent company. The only thing I can wish for her is that she goes broke as soon as possible and be punished for her actions.
I've tried to request multiple times to remove me from the service, but Gigmit refused to stop taking my monthly payments. This has been despite the fact that I haven't used the service one bit since I started the trial. I cannot wait to come off this site, I haven't received a single inquiry as a result of it. Do not use.
As I see it, the biggest problem is ther HR management. It really depends on who you deal with. If your contact person is capable, I guess you have a good chance that you will get something in return. As Gigmit started to grow, I had to deal with several contact persons who had no capability to follow up. I sent hundreds of emails to solve tiny problems that popped up all along the way. And I do know their service isn´t quite fair. Once I had a British Gigmit-contact whose network was based mostly on his personal friendships towards local musicians - which means that the same artists got performaces again and again. TIt looked like Gigmit may not be the worst of all, but is a shady business after all.

Answer: Just did a research, Simon and found actually many paid gigs. Probably depends in which country you are.
Answer: I am disgusted by this feedback here. I am the CEO of gigmit, a company in business for 9 years 100% compliant with all legal aspects and fully transparent on its business model. Gigmit is a freemium service and you can use a lot of its features for free. There is a team of 10 people supporting artists on a daily basis to get more shows. Not just PRO users, also free users. We offer our service for all. My team is 100% committed, musicians and promoters themselves. They do it to support art and artists. Our PRO service is an annual contract paid monthly. Why? A) Booking takes time and does not work within a month. B) Musicians do not have much money which is why it is to be paid monthly. Luckily the feedback here of 17 people represents 0.01% of our community. By the way, our support staff works weekdays and our average response time is less than a day. I do not know where this fairytale of no support is coming from.
gigmit has a rating of 1.8 stars from 131 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. gigmit ranks 894th among Music sites.
Thanks so much! Your review made our day! <3
