Why hasn't the way how artists are booked for live events changed since the 1950s? Technology can do more for booking artists. I want to support bookers from festivals and clubs, artists, agents and managers to make artist-booking more fun and less stressful. Using the data to find matching gigs or book artists in no time. My very own festival-booking happened within a few weeks with gigmit instead of over 3 months without it. Artists should perform and festivals and clubs should focus on a great show full of people. Technology needs to support that. gigmit is that technology.
Since our foundation in 2012, we talked to artists, agents, managers and bookers from festivals and clubs. We never stood still to grow and make money. Instead, we invested everything and more to build better and solve pain points in the process of booking artists. Guess what? We are still doing it, never stand still and only invest. What is technology without artists, agents, festivals and clubs? Well, we are more than 200,000 users which makes gigmit one of the biggest communities for booking acts for live and virtual performances in over 120 countries. What do numbers tell? In the last 5 years, we were always talking about fan data and being able to analyse which act sells the most. Now, since every fan and listener are on Spotify and Facebook, this becomes trackable and we are proud to present our first solution here.
