Company policy is to treat issued gift cards "like money," meaning they will not help if the card is lost or stolen. The company to which the gift card belongs will not help because you didn't buy it through them. The point is, do NOT use a middle man (giftcertificates.com)!
Multiple problems with this company over the year. Shame on me for returning because their competitive advantage is ability to customize cards and order and greeting card with a message. No longer worth it. Two years in a row now problems with same order, after receiving confirmations from them that prove I ordered correctly. Last year, ordered 7 cards, rec'd 6. A fight to get the 7th in time for Christmas. This year, same order, same 7 people! I got 2 cards in the same of same person with different dollar amounts, and no card for the 7th. When they sent the "corrected" order, right name and amount, with the wrong greeting card and message. And they charge for the greeting cards. No response to emails sent from their site. Awful Customer Service. If you don't have the right email confirmation in front of you, with every last charge, they won't help you. Even if you know how many cards you ordered, have order number, etc. It has to be one specific email confirmation.
I sold them two gift cards since 11/18/2014. The value of the gift cards have been long used but I have been given the run around to get paid for my cards. First I was told one card could not be verified and I would have to wait 30 days to resubmit. In the meantime the value of my gift cards has been used by giftcards.com. I finally got paid for one but they keep running me around to pay me for my second card. I can't tell you how many " tickets" and supervisors I have spoken to. My next step is the Attorney General's office. This is fraud!
I ordered a gift card and on 5/29 and today is 6/18 and i have not received the gift card, i called customer service on 6/13 they said next day it will arrive, i called again on 6/16 they said wait for one more day and on 6/18 they said we will log a ticket and some one will get back, is that the way a customer service rep say? Instead of resolving the issue, I would never buy from this place again and would advise other too just go to Walgreens and get it, it might not have a photo but u have a gift card to give it some one.

*******822 I tried to purchase an eGift card Visa in the amount of $250, and I paid with a debit card from a major US bank/checking account with over $100,000 in it. Site says it can take up to 24 hours to process. Fortunately, I saved as a PDF the final screen that confirmed my order and contained my "ID number," as I never received the promised confirmation email. And the recipient never received the eCard. After 24-hours and much digging, I called (got the number from Blackstone, the parent company) and reached a call center in El Salvador. They said they would cancel my order. That was this morning. Their website does not show my order as cancelled. It says "Your order has not been processed yet. Please check back soon." I have notified my bank.
Horrible communication and non existent customer service. Somehow they are making money on collecting email addresses, names, physical addresses and credit card numbers and selling it because they have NO INTEREST in selling gift cards. I place dozens of online orders per month with various companies and have never had one cancelled except when I tried to order from here. My information is absolutely accurate and valid but they don't want to correct the errors with THEIR data. They would rather cancel the order than sell the card. Since no legit business wants to AVOID selling their product, something fishy is going on.
Placed an online order only to have the company call you and verify all the info. They call it risk assessment, How stupid is that? Anyone calling me on the phone to verify my online business is a bigger risk than the online order! Some idiot named Jamie needs to go back to serving Slurpee's at 7-Eleven.
Terrible company. I ordered a card without checking the reviews! They say they take a day to review your order, then a day to process it, then a day to receive it! I'm calling Bull Sheot! Other gift card sites can get this done in a matter of an hour these guys need 3 days? Something's not right. Don't use this company to buy your gift cards... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I am wondering if you noticed, at the time you placed your order, the info box that popped up that indicated that you should "allow 1-3 business days for processing for all shipping methods"? No other company offers the level of customization and personalization that we offer. We are unique. Our cards are not "off the rack" as are the cards you order from other sites. We offer complete customization and personalization. Each card must be produced individually. Again, I am sorry that you weren't satisfied with your experience, but hope that the information I've provided explains the process a little better.
Product did not arrive on time! That is why I chose to use this site... it stated that the product would arrive before Christmas. When I called, after waiting on superhold for over half an hour they blamed it on me for not choosing the expedited shipping... really! I was very careful regarding the delivery time. The website showed that it would arrive in plenty of time with the option of standard shipping. When I told the rep this, he then blamed the Post Office for the delay. By the way, the rep's demeanor was so unemotional, that I felt as though I was talking to a computer, no empathy whatsoever! They also have an expiration date on the cards. After reading the other reviews, I hope the recipients don't have trouble using the cards. Ridiculous company. Sorry I used them. Never again.
Bought a Google card and it didn't work. Contacted them. They said I had to deal with it through Google. So I contacted Google. Google said my card wasn't eligible for them to do anything on their end. Overall. Lost 25 bucks. Never buying through them again.
Cancelled an order on 01/09/2014. On 01/16/2014 I called to find out why my money was not yet refunded. Called the company and was told the refund was on its way. After contacting BBB, the company admitted that they had forgotten to process the refund and therefore only processed it after I called on 01/16/2014. I have to wait an extra 3-5 business days for the refund to come now. NO apology from the business whatsoever and no attempt at compensation.
Update: Money was finally refunded. This does not make up for the fact that they didn't process the refund until a week after the order was cancelled (although they told me otherwise), but at least it was done.
This customer is completely misrepresenting the facts of this situation. They have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, which after we explained the situation factually, the BBB has accepted and closed this complaint. This customer has been refunded, but their bank has not put the funds back on their card. We have no control over that. We can only process the refund from our end, which we have done. This customer is intentionally maligning the character of an incredibly ethical company based on absolutely untrue statements.
I just completed the process of ordering a Roy's restaurant Gift Card from GiftCards.com. I got to personalize the card and gave (sent) it to my wife for our wedding anniversary. I love being able to personalize a Gift Card.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! They cancelled my order without notifying me. I didn't find out about it until I checked my credit card statement online and saw they had refunded me.
It's less than a week til Christmas Eve, and I now need to find another company to reorder one from and pray it gets to my gift recipient on time!
I did write to giftcards.com on their Facebook page about my experience with their service. Instead of replying to me, they simply deleted my post and blocked me! And I see they have a huge list of other complaints coming in, consistently, from other customers.

They never sent the card. They claim they did, but it just got lost in the mail. Yet the card is un-used. So... it's just lost, and no one opened mail that has a credit card in it? No one used it? Based on all the other reviews here, I dont think they ever sent it. Of course I had to pay more money for them to re-issue it, I now had to pay for tracking on it as well. Total scammers

My husband received a $100.00 VISA gift card from a client. When he remembered to use it, it had expired. No way to renew it, the $100.00 just gone, no recourse. Where does that $100 go? Not to the original purchaser ( his client) and not to any retailer... so I'm guessing giftcards.com just got $100.00 richer.
Almost no restaurant will take the egift cards. Most stores will not accept the cards at the value customer purchased. Dormancy fees are charged without warning. IF you can do a purchase with part of the card amount, the supposed remaining balance can never be used. Customer service does not permit phone calls, the email responses are not from a person, and any response is just asking you for copies of receipts and personal information. They do not address that the company is charging customers and not honoring the gift cards. Suggest to anyone that they purchase a physical gift card for gifts.
Ordered gift cards for grandsons so they could order their own gifts this year. I didn't want the hazzle of paying things for them so I went I thought was the best hazzle free way to go. However, everything went good. Told my daughter let them order what they wanted. Well then gift. Cards decided to return my money and not send the gift cards. This is a huge hazzle. I do not care for these or this company. Why would they do such a thing! Didn't make sense. It's Christmas time and you sell gift cards and I was buying. Why did you sell them to me then take them back? I wanted a spirited hazzle-free Christmas and buy Christmas gift cards from you. Then you sell them then change your mind? Why?
I am a local vendor this site was illegally offering gift cards for. My customers thought they were buying a gift card for my establishment but actually they were buying a discover gift card that can be used anywhere. This place is a scam be warned
I purchased over $800 if virtual gift cards this holiday for our teachers. The teachers NEVER GOT THE gift cards! I emailed and called support over and over- the phone disconnects. NO ONE Ever contacts you back. This is a fraudulent company. Buyer beware. I'm having to dispute through my credit card company. DO NOT PURCHASE HERE. Go somewhere else or you will have the same nightmare problems!
