I purchased this in Jan 2016 and tried to active it in April 2016 they told me it had no funds on it. That it was already used when I just removed it from the package. They also told me that it was active in 2012 how can that be when it was bought until 2016. They told me take it back to the store where we purchased it and see what they could do. I asked what was it spend on and they said service charges of 2.00 every month. What a waste of $50.00 and I will knew buy a card like this again.
I tried to purchase a gift card using my credit card which had a zero balance and was denied. I then tried to purchase it using my debit card that had over $5000 and was denied. Both times I received an email saying that I did not pass the "security process." I tried to call them but was unable to talk to a live representative and their automated system was not programmed to deal with my situation. Their website says customer representatives are available through chat Monday through Friday 9 AM to 9 PM and at certain times on Saturdays and Sundays but when I clicked on the chat bubble at 6:30 pm I was told that chat was unavailable. I guess I will have to keep an eye on my bank account. I definitely DO NOT recommend them. What concerns me is they collected my personal and payment info and then denied my purchase. I sent an email asking why I was denied but they refused to tell me. Everything about them seems fishy and not up to par.
I tried to purchase a flat iron on-line from Ulta using my gift card--Ulta would not accept the gift card (they said I had to shop in person to use this card) so I had to cancel the order, yet the "transaction" was posted to my card. I tried several times to call them but could never speak to a representative so I emailed them hoping to get some assistance but they considered my email as a "feedback". Still have not heard back from them so as of now I basically lost over $123 of my balance.
My card expired and I had about $150.00 left, and I was not able to get another card. The money is gone. I am so upset. I am the one in charge of getting gift cards for employees and I will never, never used them again.
Sad to share a terrible experience. I ordered a large gift card for a friend on there wedding for a future getaway. It never showed up. There were a number of "I'm sorry's," but no action. I missed the wedding despite ordering it 3 weeks early and picking the expedited shipping. I was the best man in the wedding and was hoping to offer a very unique gift package. Further, I went to Efrain and he told me that he would have the order resent on the quickest shipping method, only to have him call back later and tell me there was nothing they could do. Buyer beware.
EBay gift cards can on! Y be redeemed if you have pay pal if not it will not work. If you set up a pay pal account to be able to use the gift card it will still not let you make purchases because you are a new customer and have no pay pal history! Don't Buy EBAY gift card complete scam
GiftCards.com lied again, they sold me a gift card to a restaurant that did not take Discover card this was totally unacceptable this is not the first time. I found another review were they post this and the owner of the restaurant complained.
I was trying to use their service for the first time, and it totally SUCKS! They claim on their website that you can check the gift card balance for major retailers gift cards, when in reality all they are trying to do is sell you their own gift cards and/or purchase unused gift cards from folks. There was no way I could see to check the balance on my Safeway gift card, as it only provided a field to input VISA or MC numbers and CVV codes. You guys are guilty of false advertising. Shame on you for being so deceptive. If there was a rating of "ZERO" stars I would have put that down as my rating for your worthless and crappy service!

Why do I have to give you my personal information like email and phone number to sale just to redeem a gift card? Why do I have to write down my gift card numbers on a receipt that someone can steal and use the remaining balance? Some things a better left untouched like the original idea of getting an actual CARD for your GIFT CARD. Congratulations, you guys have officially over complicated the darn gift card idea. Never again will I purchase one of your poop cards.
I could not be more disappointed and angry with this company. I paid extra money to receive tracking info for my order. Well, the tracking information was never provided. When I contacted the company, they refused to admit I paid the extra money even though I showed them my receipt as evidence. They refused to apologize and made me feel like I was completely wrong. Probaby one of the worst customer service I ever experienced. I was given a very large window of time for my order to arrive. It actually arrived much later than the lastest date anticipated. Extremely slow service, rude/incompetent customer service, and an overall nightmare experience. Please save your money and time and never use this company. I am sure there are much better companies to buy gift cards from. GiftCards.Com is a joke and completely terrible!
I attempted to use my card 24 hours after activation and was not able to use it. I called customer service and was told because my balance was $50, my transaction had to be $40 when using for a restaurant. So I decided to use it on amazon because, well amazon takes most payment methods. CARD DECLINED and now customer service cant find my card information when I call in using my card information. This was a bonus for doing a good job at work and now I can't benefit from winning the competition I was in. I'm so disappointed
I have spent hundreds on this site and have saved hundreds doing so. As with any bargin, you need to make sure that you were going to buy it any way. But if you shop at a store or go to certain movie theater on a regular basis, buying the discounted merchant cards is a way to save money. I have had no problems dealing with the site, and I have bought a lot of cards.
I thought the cute little animations were a nice touch, which is why I selected this site for christmas gift cards. Unfortunately, the experience was less then cute. It was confusing how to redeem them to start. And then once they did get the information to redeem them the site wasn't recognizing their emails. Upon calling customer service they said their IT dept was aware and were working on it. "Should be cleared up by tomorrow". Seriously? The agent wasn't very knowledgable and they really didn't seem too concerned about the situation.
I ordered a gift card for my grandson while on the phone with him to get him what he wanted. Order confirmation at 1:57pm. The next morning at 9:50am an email came that stated "Your GiftCards.com order ### has been cancelled. Your order was not approved by our security screening process" On line chat that morning, could not provide a reason for the security cancelling the order for a card that is used daily, had been used several times the day of the order both before and after. The chat operator said that I should refer to the email that I received with a case number and that someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. This was on a Saturday so probably no call until Monday. Do not patronize this company, go somewhere reputable that you can count on such as Amazon.
You review their FAQ and it sounds like the card will work for what you want, so you buy one. It doesn't work, so you call the toll free number and they can't find the card number. They can look you up by name, but then you find the card won't really work for what you wanted it for (online purchase). I can only hope it works elsewhere, say Amazon or Walmart, but funding my Movieberry account is a no go. ONLY good thing is that they did have a toll free number to call for support.
I had to cancel my gift card order for my son's birthday present because my son no longer had the mailbox that I used for his address (which he forgot to inform me of). I was assured that the order was cancelled and even given a Reference number for the cancellation. The very next day my bank account was charged for the full amount. When I called asking why this had happened, they said they did not know, but would be glad to put a new request in for a refund with high priority. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they had to put the new request in for refund first. I never got to speak to a manager as they kept making excuses and finally, I was given a new Reference number, but I'm sorry, I do not have any faith that this company will follow through and unfortunately, I will have to have my lawyer follow through.
The company has the worst customer service I have ever seen, they say one thing and do another. I've created a personalized order to all my employees, personalized means that it took me around an hour and a half to upload a personalized card to each one in gift cards.com system. After ordering for no apparent reason it got cancelled and I couldn't resubmit it, because that's how their system work. After looking for the right rep, spoke with 4 different ones as they sure me that there is no problem, they apologize and ask me to resubmit the order, again I explained the long set up time. They assured that everything will be fine. Created a new order and it got cancelled for no apparent reason. Calling them takes forever, it takes them long time to get back to you and the setup is a joke. I would not recommend to any business to use them, and I don't want to even think what would have happened if my employees had an issue.
Do not buy gift cards here, it is more a curse than a gift. They are royal pain to use, decline transactions for no good reason BUT take the money out of the gift card and then hold it hostage for TEN days. They can tell it was declined, so you did not spend the money but refuse to give the money back on the card. You can't use it in a store, only on line, you do NOT get any confirmation or receipt via email when a transaction goes through or is declined. A PAIN, never again.
I purchased two $25 gift cards online from Giftcards.com. After two weeks when they hadn't arrived in the mail, I called customer service. I was told by "Alex" that they were still being processed and had not shipped yet. He offered to refund my purchase and said I would receive my money in 3-6 business days. Two days after that, I was contacted by "Benji" who told me that I was unable to receive a refund for this item. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, he told me that there was nobody above him who I could talk to. This company is terrible! They are a bunch of fraudulent scammers and are very unprofessional.
Trying to send a egift card, made a mistake and it was rejected. My bad. Tried again 3 times. Each time the order was accepted and then cancelled. Each time I got an email saying, "That was easy." Can't add a proof of purchase because I wasn't able to. Ordered from Amazon with no problem.
