This is an outdated and frustrating system, they make you jump through all these hoops, finally check out and fill in all your information (accurately mind you) and then they send an auto email a few minutes later letting you know they cancelled the order for no reason. This is incredibly frustrating and aggravating.
Ordered 2 gift cards for my employees. Paid $138.00 and then they said I was denied business application. I have no idea what they are talking about since I did not make a business application. It's ok though since I used my business credit card which I can have cancelled. I am also going after them with My Points whom I have been a member of since 08 and have made a lot back from ordering through their search engine. I don't think they will be happy about this. Thank you for listening I know how you all feel the same way I do. PS. I don't use PayPal anymore because I was scammed through a merchant that only uses them and PayPal would not refund my money when I didn't receive the items I payed for. My credit card company disagreed with PayPal and I got the money back.
Order Cancelled multiple times - without any valid reason as to why. A very callous mentality asking me to recreate and resubmit the order for yet another 5th Time. The Process of Designing 10 "Create your own cards", Adjusting Uploaded photos, and writing special greeting card message for each of 10 recipients, took approx. 1.5hrs each time, only to have the order cancelled by the computer system upon submission, time and time again. 4 to be exact. The lack of competence of the staff that I spoke with and their lack of consideration of my time working on this, was very painful and insulting to me. Never Again.
Terrible company to work with. Placed an order and within 5 mins requested to correct delivery name (not address) and their response was "takes 24-48h to process the request". At that moment, I cancelled the request - refund received within 48h. HOWEVER, the order was completed and sent to the gifted party! I had to explain to my customer they are not active and to throw them away! Extremely embarrassing! Giftcards was not able to stop the shipment and advised that I call to stop. Horrible customer service and this company should close it's doors ASAP.
I bought 2 gift cards for my college kids for Valentines to be delivered by e-mail. One was for Chilis and one for BJ's Restaurant. Once I was done, I decided to look at reviews to make sure that noone has had problems getting them by e-mail. I absolutely panicked when I saw the terrible reviews. I would be so embarrassed if my kids went to the restaurant for valentines, got declined, and had to use their own money.
Everything went perfectly. They texted me the very next morning that they received the cards via e-mail, had no problem activating them, and used them easily in the restaurant.
I am not sure what happened to so many other people but this was so convenient for me. As dog lovers, I even got to send a cute video for free about a dog making a valentine for a neighbor cat.

I bought a virtual visa prepaid card that said it can be used anywhere that accepts Visa. I quickly received an email with with what appeared to be a virtual visa gift card, with the CVV number and everything. Except that I have yet to find a single place, online or in person, that I can use this card. It always says it is invalid. I can't get an explanation for this, from either the company or retailers. It also tripped a fraud alert on the card I used to purchase it (and the name that comes up on the bill is neither visa nor giftcards.com, some random overseas company). I would not trust this company. Best case scenario they just take your money and give you a fake gift card, worst case they do who knows what with your personal information.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have EVER dealt with. If you CC address doesnt match they will block you. Thats not the problem, the problem is they will not correct it and NOT let you talk to their fraud department. Dont even ask for a manager. You wont be able to understand them anyway. Please beware
I accidentally put gift cards in drawer and forgot about them. When I went to activate it, it didn't work because it had passed expiration date. The expiration date was one year. When I called they said there was nothing they could do. I've never had a gift card expire in a year time. Use another provider next time.
Went to scratch off the Silver stuff to reveal the number to register it and the number came off with the silver stuff. I took it back to the merchant, the merchant said it was obviously defective. Contacted Giftcards.com Customer service. The nicely told me to F off when I described that the card was defective. I guess another lesson learned.
Cant speak to anyone. Message says card info is incorrect... ITS NOT! Its fine when i pay. No option to speak with anyone. Only reason ive kept trying them is that i cant find any other that does the same thing. Absolutely disgusting!
Don't order from Giftcard.com. I had an order for over 500.00 that did not make it to my business. They don't have tracking so they can't tell me where it is. They told me they could not cancel it and reorder it for me. I would have to reorder-- so I did, another 500.00, still don't have that one and they still haven't refunded the first order. I needed for a work presentation so I spent the extra money to have it expressed shipped only to find out that the system can't give me tracking information. You can't talk to a human when you call the number, I am working through an online chat--- that takes forever! Still no resolution!
Do NOT purchase! I received at $250 gift card from my work as a gift. I attempted to make an online purchase, and because of a zipcode error, they declined the card, but put a hold on the card. I have called the company about 10 times to get the hold released, however, they continue to tell me that this is "not their problem". I still cannot get a resolution and it has been a week.
Bought a visa giftcard through my Capital One shopping app. Giftcard got declined then target canceled the order and reversed the charge. They won't release the funds back to the card and customer service is useless! Buyer Beware!
SCAM Company with EXCESSIVE FEES, despite advising the card is good for X number of years, it really isnt because after 1 year Giftcards.com starts charging "Dormany Fees" which will quickly depete your card. BUY BEWARE!
THE lousiest service i've ever had! Cust svc was rude and useless. We were placed on perpetual hold then she came back saying she couldn't do anything; she had the nerve to say call back if we needed anything. They discourage checking your balance over 3 times in a 24 hr period! One female rep hung up on me; when i told the male rep william, he said there was nothing he could do. I know at MY job, you get chewed. Their cards are bothersome, and it was rejected all over the internet. I'm still having problems trying to spend it all, so i never interact with them again.
This is hands down the worst run company in the USA. Bought a $300 gift card for family and now it is 10 days later. No delivery to recipient yet. Called customer service and was connected with the RUDEST person. He flat refused to track my order. I persisted and he got pissed and finally did his job. I paid extra for expedited shipping and what I got was no delivery (yet) and the rudest customer service with a bad attitude. There are so many other companies to buy from! DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE!
We found out our credit card had been compromised and used to order gift cards. We caught it early. We called them, told them, asked if the cards had gone out. They said they would stop the cards, not charge our account and look into it. They did none of three and I've had to call five times to get nowhere. I don't know if it's a scam they have, but it's ridiculous. They now say that they can't help. We have to contact bank. I don't trust that company at all. I can't believe how easy it was for scammers to steal from us and order cards and how hard it is for us to rectify the situation.
These people are total scammers. I tried to activate a $500 gift card my mother bought me and they said to go online, that didn't work so I called and they directed me online. They said that is my only choice and when i asked to speak to a manager i was on hold for 10 minutes and then the call dropped.
Please dont risk buying Giftcards from this website. Better go to nearest Wallgreens/CVS and post them yourself!
I purchased for around $300 of gift card 10 days before thanksgiving, now its almost 20days and god knows where my gift cards are! Repeatedly called customer care, they cant do much as they have very little control!
Cards are suppose to reach for Thanksgiving but they ruined my plans! I doubt if they will reach by Christmas!

I am still waiting on a refund to be issued for a three hundred dollar gift card I bought. Outraged by the lack of service. I have talked to three people who told me they would be in touch with me, and they have not contacted me.
Answer: This happened to me also. My credit card company said they would do a fraud investigation.
