Had an email typo to reciever of a $500 SW Airline gift card caught it hour later called... end result card had not been delivered BUT no cancellation, no refund and sorry cannot edit email address... call your bank. Bank said the force pay it had to dispute and 45 day process... money in limbo... these guys are zero help use Amazon.
Do not use this service. They take your money and never received gift card. Tried calling cannot get any one to speak to, automated person. Finally started chat and the person I chatted with was no help, extremely rude and impatient.
The "customer service" is exactly as described in most of these reviews. And it is more than clear that management does not make any effort... none... none at all, zip, zero, nil... effort to assist customers when problems arise. They do not even offer email contact back and forth. One must repeatedly start over and submit another contact form, then responses close the ticket without communication with the customer. They put in ZERO EFFORT!
I gave them the benefit of doubt and tried my order again with a different card, and got the same result. I agree with Ted H. On his review dated 7/5/20. Something fishy is going on with this company. STAY AWAY!
Do not buy a gift card from this company. My son was given $100 for Christmas and when he tried to use the card it was declined. When I checked the transaction history the money had been taken by some paypal company that we have never heard of or could track. Giftcards.com did nothing to help recover the money! Very disappointing.
Tried to buy two ebay digital gift cards using my long term credit card and my real idenity. Was denied by their system because of "potential fraud." Was emailed many hours later to inform me. Complete waste of time. Go elsewhere and maybe you can get what you want (I went and bought them on Paypal and was approved in minutes).
In fairness, this review only speaks to an attempt to purchase a virtual VISA. Do not know about anything else.
Just do not bother. Period. After two days of attempting - just ATTEMPTING - to place an order, I gave up. Both times, we filled out all of the information accurately, submitted a valid CC number, and both times the order was cancelled. Why? No one knows. It was just "cancelled". No one can give any reason, it just was.
Don't waste your time fooling with this place. Go to your local store, purchase a prepaid card from a kiosk, go to the register and pay your money. You'll be much more pleased than going this direction.
Some idiot got ahold of my credit card, came to this website and spent 100 of my dollars on my credit card. They were can accomplice in robbing me. Afterwards they sent me half a dozen surveys about my experience with them, "thank you for letting us rob you - how was your experience?" Obviously they didn't write that but it's what it felt like.
I ordered a gift card from Giftcards.com on December 6th. According to their site, that should have been more than enough time to deliver by Christmas. Today is December 29th and I just received my card. That's 3 weeks and 2 days. I used Giftcards.com because they were linked into Elfster, the Secret Santa app. I think Elfster should reconsider having its name associated with Giftcards.com
Ordered a gift card for a colleague for a holiday gift. 5 weeks later it's still processing. Suddenly, after contact with customer service they can miraculously send an activated card within 4 hours? Yeah, Christmas was 5 weeks ago and they're already upset they got nothing from me. No thanks. I'm supposed to have a response about a refund in 48 hours because they have to investigate the card they never sent. Don't waste your time or you'll have to do a charge back.
I purchased an eGift Card as a Christmas gift for my assistant yesterday, early morning. I have emailed GiftCards.com twice without a response. She still has not received her gift. Needless to say that this is the first and last time that I will use this site. Their service is shockingly bad
I was going to order 3 of the personalized cards for my brother who is an artist- was gonna put his drawings on them. Decided I'd do just one first to make sure the picture came out right.
After ordering, my card was charged $1, then deposited right back into my account minutes later. Seemed weird, so I started looking for reviews of this place.
Found a website where there are many 20+ 5 star reviews all on the same day, 4 star reviews all on the same day, 1-2 star reviews sprinkled in after every 20 good review. Then found this site.
When I tried to go online to cancel my order I was met with a message that said my card# seemed fake and they would have to call my bank and use "other resources" to make sure it's legit. Had to cancel my card just so the order wouldn't go through.
I placed an order with GiftCards.com. As part of the process I entered what I thought was an excessive amount of information to place the order at least compared to most online sites I use. They next day I received an order cancellation notice from them for some unspecified reason other than some data didn't match like how I spell my address versus how my bank does. However the information was apparently good enough to place a pending charge against my account which will be corrected in 3 days.
Tried to purchase a basic $25 visa gift card to deliver via email. Used the same credit card I use everywhere and, after a few hours, my order was cancelled. Supposedly, something about the order triggered their fraud detection process however they won't actually give any info on why something was denied.
So - that effectively means that they don't want me to order anything from them. Odd customer service - especially when I used that same credit card, both online and in a store, later that day without any issue.
I wanted custom debit cards with our corporate logo - didn't realize the only way they will put your logo on a card is by purchasing the 'rewards' card, which expires in 1 year. So, not only did I pay a whole lot of money for custom cards, I'm out the $2,000 I spent on cards.
I guess I'm to blame, I never really looked at them until now, but I thought there was a Federal Law on gift cards expiring - Well Giftcards.com found the loophole!
Stay away - use your money elsewhere.
Very bad, arrogant, and easily irritated customer service.
They made mistakes and I tried to work with them to get things right.
However, they just spent time arguing, rather than getting things corrected.
After feeling their ego hurt, they simply cancelled my order.
I live out of the country and my sweet mother in-law tried to get me a virtual gift card. Unfortunately, it only works if you are on VPN. Then, after I have already spent almost an hour of my life trying to get any of the 4 links to work, I filled out my info and hit submit. NOTHING happens. It just kept replaying the same little gift video over and over. Super frustrating and a total scam. I have no idea if anyone will respond to my email asking for assistance. I would not have even gave it any stars. Total crap.
Laughable if not so frustrating. Acted in good faith - placed order - got confirmation. 1 week goes by. Two weeks go by. Now past the outside deadline, NO CARDS. Buyer Beware!
Just STAY AWAY and save yourself the time, energy, hassle, and frustration of attempting to conduct business with such a seriously flawed, substandard company and staff.
I received a virtual gift card and read through some of the conditions of use. If not used within a period of time they accumulate fees. They can't be reloaded which probably means you can't buy something then return it for credit. I've found the easiest way to use these cards is to log into Amazon and apply them to my Amazon account. There they stay safe and secure until used.
Placed 2 orders in last 30 days at Giftcards.com, and both were cancelled for no reason. It seems, like many other fake sites, Gifcards.com is in the business of collecting customers' personal and credit card data, and it has no intention of doing any order fulfilment. A total scam. Now, my credit card data is sitting at a random location to be hacked or misused!
Answer: This happened to me also. My credit card company said they would do a fraud investigation.
