Gift Card is blocked, and Macy's doesnt want to deal with it because it was bought through the third party - Giftcards.com. And Giftcards.com tell me call Macy's (which I already did and TOLD them about it), and then stop to respond to emails.

Never purchase from this company, I ordered $2200 in gift cards, and paid for express shipping. I never recieved my cards, UPS lost them in the mail. UPS took ownership and refunded the full amount back to giftcards.com They are now claiming that they do not have a department that can check on the refund from UPS and therefore they can not issue me a refund. They have now recieved $4400 from UPS and I and will not refund any money. Horrible company, horrible customer service. Do not ever buy from this company.
I should have read the reviews saying giftcard.ca is a scam before purchasing from the site. I thought since it sounds official and established, I'd have no issues. I ordered 4 all4one physical gift cards at $45 each. I received them in the mail and it required me to activate them all online. When I went on cardactivations.ca to activate them, it told me the card numbers do not exist. I also went on one4allcard.ca to check the balance and it said the card numbers do not exist. I went back to giftcard.ca and chatted with customer service to get a resolution and they told me they have to look into it and just left the chat without providing an explanation. If you want to lose your money and deal with hands off customer service who can't answer your questions, go ahead and purchase from this site!
I tried 5 times to order a Virtual Visa card. Each time the transaction was cancelled, even using different cards. The reason was something was different than the statement. I took the information RIGHT off the statement. Very frustrating. I even called customer service and they wouldn't give any information why they were cancelled. Very frustrating.
Ordered $150 card as gift. Posted on giftcard.com as SENT. Never received by recipient EMBARRASSING, complicated situation all around. Site Blames Post Office., Post Office says "SCAM" probably in cahoots with thieves., not repeatable. Says all., when the DISTRIBUTER can't verify the seller then WHY is the business allowed to stand? We'll see :) I'm out $150... but I'm on this.
Placed order on 1/16 for a lowes gift card. Realized I didn't need the card within 5-10 minutes of ordering so I called to cancel the order. They said it's still open, so cancellation is not a problem. I got an email stating my order was cancelled and that my card will not be charged. It states specifically: "No charges have been applied to your credit or debit card. You may see a pending charge on your account from GiftCards.com that your bank is waiting for us to authorize. This charge is usually lifted within 3 business days by your financial institution." Happened to check my card on the 18th and sure enough, a charge for 117.28 dollars posted to my card. I called and they said it wasn't supposed to and that they would issue a refund which I would see by 1/24. Checked on 1/24, no refund. I called again and they said I'd see it by 1/27. Checked on 1/27, no refund. I called my credit card to dispute the charge, I am done dealing with giftcards.com.
They do nothing but apologize and lie. They won't refund your money, they won't deliver the card everybody you speak to offers a different excuse and tells you oh I'm so sorry for that I completely understand but there's nothing I can do about it. They tell you they're reshipping the card they won't give you tracking information it's just one lie after another after another.
My order was canceled for no apparent reason. I tried a Chat but the agent had no specifics. She gave me a whole list of things to check on my order. But they did not provide me with a copy of the order so that I could check it. I did not do a screen print at the time I placed it.
When I asked her where to find the Reviews section, she offered to escalate my complaint. I told her she had one hour to have someone call. She said someone would call today. I told her to forget it! About 20 minutes later, someone called. He said he could not see anything wrong with the order. But, since my order had already been canceled, his solution was to place another order so they could check it to see if there was anything wrong it. HE HAD TO BE KIDDING!
I have not received the card I ordered on 12/19. I received two messages saying the order is confirmed and that it's on the way. I have sent a message to Tom Cribbs just now. I will update this review or, hopefully he will respond here.
I recently ordered $1k in gift cards from this site, and while waiting for them to arrive, I came across these reviews. Naturally, I freaked out thinking I had been scammed out of a large amount of money. Would I ever even receive my cards? If I did, would they even work? I talked to multiple representatives at the company, and everyone was very friendly to me, provided me a full refund and an explanation for the reviews (mostly people improperly attempting to use E-Cards at stores). They pointed me to TrustPilot where they have TONS of excellent reviews, and I now have every reason to believe my cards would have arrived within the projected timeframe and worked as advertised. Even though I never got to use my cards, I am leaving this review because of the top-notch customer service I received from this company.
I received a virtual gift card from my work as a performance reward. It will not work for online purchases. I would not buy or use this service.
I used to buy gift cards through this site all of the time. This time I bought a $300 for one of our employees. 2 months later, the card never arrived. The only reason why we discovered that the gift card had not arrived to our employee (as it was a surprise) was a chance spotting by our accounting team. After I called the site asking where the giftcard was, the absolutely WONDERFUL customer support person said it will come anytime between now and august 10th.
Me: "But I ordered this two months ago."
Him: "Yeah, well there was a problem with USPS. And this was one of them."
Me: "so if I hadn't called you folks just never would have sent the gift card?"
Him: "it will be there before 8/10".
Me: "right. But if I hadn't called, you wouldn't have sent them to me?"
Him: "it's going to get to you."
Me: "whatever. *click*"
I'll never be buying gift cards from this site ever again. Thanks GiftCards.com! Have fun going under.
I never received my gift card. When I followed up each time they apologized for the inconvenience and said they would give me a refund. Since it still hadn't processed followed up a 3rd time and they are now saying the card was redeemed and thus have closed my case?! How is that possible when I never received it?! Scam... this company are crooks! Do not trust.
I didn't complete checkout with them because they kept saying my card was invalid. Well, I still found a charge on it! Of course the customer service is incompetent. I don't know if I will see that money again. Waiting on my 50 word limit complain I sent to them. TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY.
Placed an order for a virtual gift card to be sent to my daughter. Paid with my credit card. Got an e-mail that said my order was placed - another one to say it was canceled. Called right away as I needed to get this to my daughter and got some idiot on the phone who said I failed the screening process but couldn't tell me what that process was so I could correct it. He was very vague and very shady - I will be checking my CC statement to see if I get charged. If anyone at GiftCards is actually looking at this - my order number was *******
SCAM! Beware. Don't use them. And this "Tom C." character that's replying to some of the posts is a joke. Saying they are incredibly ethical? LOL, if they were so ethical they wouldn't have so many complaints against them. They would do the right thing for customers.
Today we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Atty. Generals office. This is definitely a scam. We sent in a $100 Subway gift card to be cashed in for $80 in return. We entered the card number on the site it was verified and accepted. Unbelievably, we also included the receipt showing the gift card was purchased at a legitimate Subway restaurant for $100. We keep getting cryptic messages stating the card is invalid or it's a high-risk and a multitude of other reasons. Unbelievably they won't tell me why it's invalid or what the "risk" is, however they did send me an email stating I had to send them a 42 cent stamped envelope to have the card returned to me. Are you kidding me?!?!?
SCAM!

I sold gifts.com a 100 dollar whitehouse black market gift card for 73.50. On friday it was verified and was told i would have the check sent in 2 business days. On monday i got another email saying my card was flagged and they would not buy it. So i called them and they said maybe the card was hacked. So i called whitehouse blackmarket and was told the card was used friday in las vegas the card now has a 4.88 balance on it. So if this is not fraud then i dont know what is, so my next step is to go to the better business bureau and or attorney general and proceed to go after this company for fraud, i bet i would not be alone in my attempt to call this company out for what they are SCAMMERS AND THIEFS
Had one of their cards given to me at Christmas. Been 3 day and constant delays for an e-card. I would never recommend this as a convenient gift for anyone.
This gift card was given to me in the amount of $100. Over the course of several weeks, I made several purchases from a craft store of flowers for my niece's wedding. My niece changed her design idea a couple of different times so I had to return items/ repurchase/ return all. During the original purchase, I had to use my own credit card. The store allowed refund on only one card. Believing the bulk of the expense to be on this gift card, I had the returns refunded to it. The giftcards.com company blocked the use of the card because of the amount refunded discrepancy with original purchase amount. I found this out by being publicly embarrassed - twice. Twice because, I submitted all receipts to the *******@bhnetwork, waited a couple of weeks, then tried to use it again only to be publicly embarrassed AGAIN. It has now been nearly 3 MONTHS and I still do not have access to MY money.
Answer: This happened to me also. My credit card company said they would do a fraud investigation.
GiftCards.com has a rating of 1.4 stars from 358 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with GiftCards.com most frequently mention customer service, business days and expiration date. GiftCards.com ranks 106th among Gift Cards sites.
Thanks for the feedback. We process refunds, typically the same day they are submitted. It can take several business days for the bank that issued the purchasing credit card to apply the funds back to the customers account. We have absolutely no control over that.
